1 В те же дни, когда опять собралась большая толпа и у людей не было еды, Иисус подозвал учеников и сказал:

In those days when an immense crowd had gathered and they had nothing to eat, Jesus called His disciples to Him and told them,

2 – Мне жаль этих людей, они со Мной вот уже три дня, и у них не осталось еды.

I have pity and sympathy for the people and My heart goes out to them, for they have been with Me now three days and have nothing to eat;

3 Е сли Я отпущу их по домам голодными, то они в дороге ослабеют, ведь некоторые пришли издалека.

And if I send them away to their homes hungry, they will be feeble through exhaustion and faint along the road; and some of them have come a long way.

4 – Как же здесь, в этой пустыне, найти достаточно хлеба, чтобы их накормить? – удивились ученики.

And His disciples replied to Him, How can anyone fill and satisfy with loaves of bread here in desolate and uninhabited region?

5 – Сколько у вас хлебов? – спросил Иисус. – Семь, – ответили ученики.

And He asked them, How many loaves have you? They said, Seven.

6 И исус велел людям возлечь на землю. Затем Он взял семь хлебов и, поблагодарив за них Бога, стал разламывать на куски, передавая ученикам, а те раздавали хлеб народу.

And He commanded the multitude to recline upon the ground, and He took the seven loaves and, having given thanks, He broke them and kept on giving them to His disciples to put before, and they placed them before the crowd.

7 Б ыло у них и несколько рыбок; Иисус благословил их и тоже велел раздать.

And they had a few small fish; and when He had praised God and given thanks and asked Him to bless them, He ordered that these also should be set before.

8 Л юди ели и насытились, и еще набралось семь корзин остатков.

And they ate and were satisfied; and they took up seven '> large provision] baskets full of the broken pieces left over.

9 А было там только мужчин около четырех тысяч человек. Иисус отпустил народ

And there were about 4, 000 people. And He dismissed them,

10 и сразу же, сев вместе с учениками в лодку, отправился в земли Далмануты. Религиозные вожди требуют знамения с неба (Мат. 16: 1-4)

And at once He got into the boat with His disciples and went to the district of Dalmanutha (or Magdala).

11 К Иисусу подошли фарисеи и стали с Ним спорить. Они хотели испытать Его и требовали от Него знамения с неба.

The Pharisees came and began to argue with and question Him, demanding from Him a sign (an attesting miracle from heaven) to test Him.

12 И исус глубоко вздохнул и спросил: – Почему это поколение требует знамения? Говорю вам истину, ему не будет дано никакого знамения.

And He groaned and sighed deeply in His spirit and said, Why does this generation demand a sign? Positively I say to you, no sign shall be given this generation.

13 И , оставив их, Он снова сел в лодку и отправился на другую сторону озера. Иисус предостерегает от ложных учений (Мат. 16: 5-12)

And He went away and left them and, getting into the boat again, He departed to the other side.

14 У ченики забыли взять с собой хлеба, и в лодке у них был всего один хлеб.

Now they had '> completely] forgotten to bring bread, and they had only one loaf with them in the boat.

15 А Иисус предостерегал их: – Смотрите, берегитесь закваски фарисеев и закваски Ирода.

And Jesus charged and admonished them, saying, Look out; keep on your guard and beware of the leaven of the Pharisees and the leaven of Herod and the Herodians.

16 У ченики стали рассуждать между собой: – Он говорит это потому, что у нас нет хлеба?

And they discussed it and reasoned with one another, It is because we have no bread.

17 З ная, о чем они говорят, Иисус сказал: – Почему вы рассуждаете о том, что у вас нет хлеба? Неужели вы все еще не сознаете и не понимаете? Неужели сердца ваши совсем окаменели?

And being aware, Jesus said to them, Why are you reasoning and saying it is because you have no bread? Do you not yet discern or understand? Are your hearts in hardness?

18 У вас есть глаза, и вы не видите? Есть уши, и вы не слышите? Неужели вы не помните?

Having eyes, do you not see, and having ears, do you not hear and perceive and understand the sense of what is said? And do you not remember?

19 К огда Я разделил пять хлебов на пять тысяч человек, сколько полных корзин остатков вы набрали? – Двенадцать, – ответили ученики.

When I broke the five loaves for the 5, 000, how many '> small hand] baskets full of broken pieces did you take up? They said to Him, Twelve.

20 – А когда семь хлебов на четыре тысячи, сколько полных корзин остатков вы набрали? – Семь, – ответили те.

And the seven loaves for the 4, 000, how many '> large provision] baskets full of broken pieces did you take up? And they said to Him, Seven.

21 – Так неужели вы все еще не понимаете? – сказал Иисус. Иисус возвращает зрение слепому

And He kept repeating, Do you not yet understand?

22 К огда они пришли в Вифсаиду, к Иисусу привели слепого и попросили прикоснуться к нему.

And they came to Bethsaida. And brought to Him a blind man and begged Him to touch him.

23 И исус взял слепого за руку, вывел из селения, плюнул ему на глаза и, возложив на него руки, спросил: – Видишь что-нибудь?

And He caught the blind man by the hand and led him out of the village; and when He had spit on his eyes and put His hands upon him, He asked him, Do you '> possibly] see anything?

24 Т от посмотрел вокруг и сказал: – Вижу людей: словно двигаются деревья.

And he looked up and said, I see people, but like trees, walking.

25 И исус еще раз приложил руки к его глазам, и он исцелился, зрение вернулось к нему, и он стал видеть все четко и ясно.

Then He put His hands on his eyes again; and the man looked intently, and he was restored and saw everything distinctly '> at a distance].

26 И исус отправил его домой, сказав: – Смотри, в селение не заходи. Петр признает в Иисусе Мессию (Мат. 16: 13-16, 20; Лк. 9: 18-21)

And He sent him away to his house, telling, Do not enter the village or tell anyone there.

27 И исус с учениками пошел в селения, прилегающие к Кесарии Филипповой. По дороге Иисус спросил их: – За кого принимают Меня люди?

And Jesus went on with His disciples to the villages of Caesarea Philippi; and on the way He asked His disciples, Who do people say that I am?

28 У ченики ответили: – За Иоанна Крестителя; другие же – за Илию; а некоторые – за одного из пророков.

And they answered, John the Baptist; and others, Elijah; but others, one of the prophets.

29 – А вы кем считаете Меня? – спросил их Иисус. Петр ответил: – Ты – Мессия.

And He asked them, But who do you yourselves say that I am? Peter replied to Him, You are the Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).

30 Н о Иисус велел им никому не говорить о Нем. Иисус впервые говорит о Своей смерти и воскресении (Мат. 16: 21-23; Лк. 9: 22)

And He charged them sharply to tell no one about Him.

31 И Он начал учить их, что Сыну Человеческому предстоит много пострадать и быть отвергнутым старейшинами, первосвященниками и учителями Закона, что Он будет убит, и через три дня воскреснет.

And He began to teach them that the Son of Man must of necessity suffer many things and be tested and disapproved and rejected by the elders and the chief priests and the scribes, and be put to death, and after three days rise again '> from death].

32 О н прямо говорил об этом. Тогда Петр отвел Его в сторону и стал возражать.

And He said this freely (frankly, plainly, and explicitly, making it unmistakable). And Peter took Him by the hand and led Him aside and then began to rebuke Him.

33 И исус же, обернувшись и посмотрев на учеников, строго сказал Петру: – Прочь от Меня, сатана! Ты думаешь не о Божьем, а о человеческом. Что значит быть последователем Иисуса? (Мат. 16: 24-28; Лк. 9: 23-27)

But turning around and seeing His disciples, He rebuked Peter, saying, Get behind Me, Satan! For you do not have a mind intent on promoting what God wills, but what pleases men.

34 П одозвав народ и Своих учеников, Иисус сказал им: – Если кто хочет идти за Мной, пусть отречется от самого себя, возьмет свой крест и пусть следует за Мной.

And Jesus called the throng with His disciples and said to them, If anyone intends to come after Me, let him deny himself '> lose sight of himself and his own interests] and take up his cross, and '> joining Me as a disciple and siding with My party] follow with Me.

35 П отому что тот, кто хочет сберечь свою жизнь, потеряет ее, а кто потеряет свою жизнь ради Меня и Радостной Вести, тот спасет ее.

For whoever wants to save his '> higher, spiritual, eternal] life, will lose it '> lower, natural, temporal life which is lived only on earth]; and whoever gives up his life for My sake and the Gospel’s will save it '> higher, spiritual life in the eternal kingdom of God].

36 В едь что пользы человеку приобрести весь мир, если при этом он повредит своей душе?

For what does it profit a man to gain the whole world, and forfeit his life '> in the eternal kingdom of God]?

37 И что человек может дать в обмен за свою душу?

For what can a man give as an exchange ( a compensation, a ransom, in return) for his life '> in the eternal kingdom of God]?

38 К то постыдится Меня и Моих слов в этом безбожном и грешном поколении, того и Сын Человеческий постыдится, когда придет в славе Своего Отца со святыми ангелами.

For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous (unfaithful) and sinful generation, of him will the Son of Man also be ashamed when He comes in the glory (splendor and majesty) of His Father with the holy angels.
