1 Т ак говорит Господь: – За три греха Моава, и за четыре, не отвращу Мой гнев. За то, что он пережег в известь кости царя Эдома.

Thus says the Lord: For three transgressions of Moab and for four, I will not reverse the punishment of it or revoke My word concerning it, because he burned the bones of the king of Edom into lime.

2 Я пошлю огонь на Моав, он пожрет крепости Кериота. И погибнет Моав среди смуты, среди криков боевых, при звуке рога.

So I will send a fire upon Moab and it shall devour the strongholds of Kerioth, and Moab shall die amid uproar, shouting, and the sound of the trumpet.

3 Я правителя его погублю, а с ним убью и его приближенных, – говорит Господь.

And I will cut off the ruler from its midst and will slay all its princes with him, says the Lord.

4 Т ак говорит Господь: – За три греха Иудеи, и за четыре, не отвращу Мой гнев. За то, что они отвергли Закон Господа и установлений Его не сохранили, что лжебоги, за которыми ходили их предки, сбили их с пути –

Thus says the Lord: For three transgressions of Judah and for four, I will not reverse the punishment of it or revoke My word concerning it, because they have despised and rejected the law of the Lord and have not kept His commandments, but their lies, after which their fathers have walked, caused them to err and go astray.

5 Я пошлю огонь на Иудею, и он пожрет крепости Иерусалима. Суд над Израилем

So I will send a fire upon Judah and it shall devour the strongholds of Jerusalem.

6 Т ак говорит Господь: – За три греха Израиля, и за четыре, Я не отвращу Мой гнев. Они продают праведного за серебро, и нуждающегося – за пару сандалий.

Thus says the Lord: For three transgressions of Israel and for four, I will not reverse the punishment of it or revoke My word concerning it, because they have sold the just and uncompromisingly righteous for silver and the needy for a pair of sandals;

7 О ни попирают головы бедных как земную пыль, и отталкивают кротких. Отец и сын спят с одной и той же девицей, оскверняя Мое святое Имя.

They pant after the poor dust of the earth on their heads; they defraud and turn aside the humble; and a man and his father will have sexual relations with the same maiden, so that My holy name is profaned.

8 Н а одежде, взятой в залог, они возлежат у каждого жертвенника. Они пьют вино, взятое с обвиненных, в доме их бога.

And they lay themselves down beside every altar upon clothes they have taken in pledge, and in the house of their God they frivolously drink the wine which has been exacted from those fined.

9 Я погубил перед ними аморрея, хотя он был высок, как кедр, и крепок, как дуб. Я погубил плод его вверху и корни его внизу.

Yet I destroyed the Amorite before them, whose height was like the height of the cedars and he was strong as the oaks; yet I destroyed his fruit from above and his roots from beneath.

10 Я вывел вас из Египта и водил вас сорок лет по пустыне, чтобы дать вам землю аморреев.

Also I brought you up out of the land of Egypt and led you forty years through the wilderness to possess the land of the Amorite.

11 Е ще Я воздвигал пророков из ваших сыновей и назореев из ваших юношей. Разве это не так, народ Израиля? – возвещает Господь. –

And I raised up some of your sons for prophets and some of your young men for dedicated ones. Is this not true, O you children of Israel? says the Lord.

12 Н о вы заставляли назореев пить вино и приказывали пророкам, говоря: «Не пророчествуйте».

But you gave the dedicated ones wine to drink and commanded the prophets, saying, Prophesy not.

13 И вот, Я раздавлю вас, как давит повозка, нагруженная снопами –

Behold, I am pressed under you and I will press you down in your place as a cart presses that is full of sheaves.

14 б ыстрый не ускользнет, сильный не соберется с силами и воин не спасет свою жизнь.

And flight shall be lost to the swift and refuge shall fail him; the strong shall not retain and confirm his strength, neither shall the mighty deliver himself.

15 Л учник не устоит, быстроногий воин не скроется и всадник не спасет свою жизнь.

Neither shall he stand who handles the bow, and he who is swift of foot shall not deliver himself; neither shall he who rides the horse deliver his life.

16 Д аже храбрейшие воины убегут нагими в тот день, – возвещает Господь.

And he who is courageous among the mighty shall flee away naked on that day, says the Lord.
