1 Đ ức Giê-hô-va phán như vầy: Bởi cớ tội ác của Mô-áp đến gấp ba gấp bốn lần, nên ta không xây bỏ án phạt khỏi nó; vì nó đã đốt hài cốt của vua Ê-đôm đặng làm ra vôi.

Thus says the Lord: For three transgressions of Moab and for four, I will not reverse the punishment of it or revoke My word concerning it, because he burned the bones of the king of Edom into lime.

2 T a sẽ sai lửa đến trên Mô-áp, nó sẽ thiêu nuốt đền đài của Kê-ri-giốt. Mô-áp sẽ chết trong sự ồn ào, giữa tiếng kêu, khi tiếng kèn thổi.

So I will send a fire upon Moab and it shall devour the strongholds of Kerioth, and Moab shall die amid uproar, shouting, and the sound of the trumpet.

3 T a sẽ dứt quan xét khỏi giữa nó, và giết hết thảy các quan trưởng nó với nó, Đức Giê-hô-va phán vậy.

And I will cut off the ruler from its midst and will slay all its princes with him, says the Lord.

4 Đ ức Giê-hô-va phán như vầy: Bởi cớ tội ác của Giu-đa đến gấp ba gấp bốn lần, nên ta không xây bỏ án phạt khỏi nó; vì chúng nó đã bỏ luật pháp của Đức Giê-hô-va và không vâng theo lệ luật Ngài, những sự giả dối mà tổ phụ chúng nó đã theo, làm lầm lạc chúng nó.

Thus says the Lord: For three transgressions of Judah and for four, I will not reverse the punishment of it or revoke My word concerning it, because they have despised and rejected the law of the Lord and have not kept His commandments, but their lies, after which their fathers have walked, caused them to err and go astray.

5 T a sẽ sai lửa đến trên Giu-đa, nó sẽ thiêu nuốt những đền đài của Giê-ru-sa-lem.

So I will send a fire upon Judah and it shall devour the strongholds of Jerusalem.

6 Đ ức Giê-hô-va phán như vầy: Bởi cớ tội ác của Y-sơ-ra-ên đến gấp ba gấp bốn lần, nên ta không xây bỏ án phạt khỏi nó; vì chúng nó đã bán người công bình lấy bạc, bán kẻ nghèo lấy một đôi dép.

Thus says the Lord: For three transgressions of Israel and for four, I will not reverse the punishment of it or revoke My word concerning it, because they have sold the just and uncompromisingly righteous for silver and the needy for a pair of sandals;

7 C húng nó cũng tham cả đến bụi đất trên đầu người nghèo khó, và làm cong đường của kẻ nhu mì. Con và cha cùng đến chung một đứa gái, như vậy làm cho ô danh thánh ta.

They pant after the poor dust of the earth on their heads; they defraud and turn aside the humble; and a man and his father will have sexual relations with the same maiden, so that My holy name is profaned.

8 C húng nó nằm gần mỗi bàn thờ, trên những áo xống đã nhận làm của tin, và uống rượu của kẻ phải phạt trong miếu thần chúng nó.

And they lay themselves down beside every altar upon clothes they have taken in pledge, and in the house of their God they frivolously drink the wine which has been exacted from those fined.

9 D ầu vậy, chính ta đã tuyệt diệt người A-mô-rít trước mặt chúng nó, là thứ người cao bằng cây bách và mạnh như cây dẻ bộp. Ta đã diệt những trái nó ở trên và những rễ nó ở dưới.

Yet I destroyed the Amorite before them, whose height was like the height of the cedars and he was strong as the oaks; yet I destroyed his fruit from above and his roots from beneath.

10 T a cũng đã đem các ngươi lên khỏi đất Ê-díp-tô, và dắt các ngươi trong đồng vắng trải bốn mươi năm, hầu cho các ngươi được đất của người A-mô-rít làm sản nghiệp.

Also I brought you up out of the land of Egypt and led you forty years through the wilderness to possess the land of the Amorite.

11 T a đã dấy mấy kẻ tiên tri lên trong vòng con trai các ngươi, và dấy mấy người Na-xi-rê lên trong vòng bọn trai trẻ các ngươi. Đức Giê-hô-va phán: Hỡi con cái Y-sơ-ra-ên, chẳng phải vậy sao?

And I raised up some of your sons for prophets and some of your young men for dedicated ones. Is this not true, O you children of Israel? says the Lord.

12 N hưng các ngươi đã cho các người Na-xi-rê uống rượu, và cấm các kẻ tiên tri rằng: Chớ nói tiên tri!

But you gave the dedicated ones wine to drink and commanded the prophets, saying, Prophesy not.

13 N ầy, ta sẽ chận ép các ngươi trong nơi các ngươi cũng như cái xe đầy những lúa bó chận ép.

Behold, I am pressed under you and I will press you down in your place as a cart presses that is full of sheaves.

14 N gười lẹ làng sẽ không thể trốn được; người mạnh mẽ sẽ không bổ sức cho mình nữa, và người bạo dạn sẽ chẳng cứu được mạng sống mình.

And flight shall be lost to the swift and refuge shall fail him; the strong shall not retain and confirm his strength, neither shall the mighty deliver himself.

15 K ẻ giương cung sẽ chẳng đứng vững được; kẻ có chơn lẹ làng sẽ chẳng lánh khỏi được; người cỡi ngựa sẽ khí huyết cứu mình;

Neither shall he stand who handles the bow, and he who is swift of foot shall not deliver himself; neither shall he who rides the horse deliver his life.

16 v à kẻ bạo gan trong những người mạnh mẽ sẽ ở trần mà trốn trong ngày đó, Đức Giê-hô-va phán vậy.

And he who is courageous among the mighty shall flee away naked on that day, says the Lord.
