1 Đ ức Chúa Jêsus phán như vậy, đoạn, ngước mắt lên trời mà rằng: Thưa Cha, giờ đã đến; xin làm vinh hiển Con, hầu cho Con cũng làm vinh hiển Cha,

When Jesus had spoken these things, He lifted up His eyes to heaven and said, Father, the hour has come. Glorify and exalt and honor and magnify Your Son, so that Your Son may glorify and extol and honor and magnify You.

2 v à nhơn quyền phép Cha đã ban cho Con cai trị loài xác thịt, Con được ban sự sống đời đời cho những kẻ mà Cha đã giao phó cho Con.

You have granted Him power and authority over all flesh (all humankind), so that He may give eternal life to all whom You have given Him.

3 V ả, sự sống đời đời là nhìn biết Cha, tức là Đức Chúa Trời có một và thật, cùng Jêsus Christ, là Đấng Cha đã sai đến.

And this is eternal life: to know (to perceive, recognize, become acquainted with, and understand) You, the only true and real God, and to know Him, Jesus Christ (the Anointed One, the Messiah), Whom You have sent.

4 C on đã tôn vinh Cha trên đất, làm xong công việc Cha giao cho làm.

I have glorified You down here on the earth by completing the work that You gave Me to do.

5 C ha ôi! bây giờ xin lấy sự vinh hiển Con vốn có nơi Cha trước khi chưa có thế gian mà làm vinh hiển Con nơi chính mình Cha.

And now, Father, glorify Me along with Yourself and restore Me to such majesty and honor in Your presence as I had with You before the world existed.

6 C on đã tỏ danh Cha ra cho những người Cha giao cho Con từ giữa thế gian; họ vốn thuộc về Cha, Cha giao họ cho Con, và họ đã giữ lời Cha.

I have manifested Your Name to the people whom You have given Me out of the world. They were Yours, and You gave them to Me, and they have obeyed and kept Your word.

7 H iện nay họ đã biết rằng mọi sự Cha đã giao cho Con đều là từ Cha mà đến.

Now they know and understand that all You have given Me belongs to You.

8 V ì Con đã truyền cho họ những lời Cha đã truyền cho Con, và họ đã nhận lấy; nhìn biết quả thật rằng Con đến từ nơi Cha, và tin rằng ấy là Cha sai Con đến.

For the words that You gave Me I have given them; and they have received and accepted and have come to know positively and in reality that I came forth from Your presence, and they have believed and are convinced that You did send Me.

9 C on vì họ mà cầu nguyện; chẳng phải vì thế gian mà cầu nguyện, nhưng vì kẻ Cha đã giao cho Con, bởi chưng họ thuộc về Cha.

I am praying for them. I am not praying (requesting) for the world, but for those You have given Me, for they belong to You.

10 P hàm mọi điều thuộc về Con tức là thuộc về Cha, mọi điều thuộc về Cha tức là thuộc về Con, và Con nhơn họ được tôn vinh.

All Mine are Yours, and all Yours belong to Me; and I am glorified in (through) them.

11 C on không ở thế gian nữa, nhưng họ còn ở thế gian, và Con về cùng Cha. Lạy Cha thánh, xin gìn giữ họ trong danh Cha, là danh Cha đã ban cho Con, để họ cũng hiệp làm một như chúng ta vậy.

And I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I am coming to You. Holy Father, keep in Your Name '> in the knowledge of Yourself] those whom You have given Me, that they may be one as We.

12 Đ ang khi Con còn ở với họ, Con gìn giữ họ, trừ đứa con của sự hư mất ra, thì trong đám họ không một người nào bị thất lạc, hầu cho lời Kinh Thánh được ứng nghiệm.

While I was with them, I kept and preserved them in Your Name '> in the knowledge and worship of You]. Those You have given Me I guarded and protected, and not one of them has perished or is lost except the son of perdition, that the Scripture might be fulfilled.

13 N hưng bây giờ Con về cùng Cha, và đương khi còn ở thế gian, Con nói những điều đó, hầu cho trong lòng họ được đầy dẫy sự vui mừng của Con.

And now I am coming to You; I say these things while I am still in the world, so that My joy may be made full and complete and perfect in them.

14 C on đã truyền lời Cha cho họ, và thế gian ghen ghét họ, vì họ không thuộc về thế gian, cũng như Con không thuộc về thế gian vậy.

I have given and delivered to them Your word (message) and the world has hated them, because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.

15 C on chẳng cầu Cha cất họ khỏi thế gian, nhưng xin Cha gìn giữ họ cho khỏi điều ác.

I do not ask that You will take them out of the world, but that You will keep and protect them from the evil one.

16 H ọ không thuộc về thế gian, cũng như Con không thuộc về thế gian.

They are not of the world (worldly, belonging to the world), as I am not of the world.

17 X in Cha lấy lẽ thật khiến họ nên thánh; lời Cha tức là lẽ thật.

Sanctify them by the Truth; Your Word is Truth.

18 N hư Cha đã sai Con trong thế gian, thì Con cũng sai họ trong thế gian.

Just as You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world.

19 C on vì họ tự làm nên thánh, hầu cho họ cũng nhờ lẽ thật mà được nên thánh vậy.

And so for their sake and on their behalf I sanctify (dedicate, consecrate) Myself, that they also may be sanctified (dedicated, consecrated, made holy) in the Truth.

20 A áy chẳng những vì họ mà Con cầu xin thôi đâu, nhưng cũng vì kẻ sẽ nghe lời họ mà tin đến Con nữa,

Neither for these alone do I pray, but also for all those who will ever come to believe in (trust in, cling to, rely on) Me through their word and teaching,

21 đ ể cho ai nấy hiệp làm một, như Cha ở trong Con, và Con ở trong Cha; lại để cho họ cũng ở trong chúng ta, đặng thế gian tin rằng chính Cha đã sai Con đến.

That they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be one in Us, so that the world may believe and be convinced that You have sent Me.

22 C on đã ban cho họ sự vinh hiển mà Cha đã ban cho Con, để hiệp làm một cũng như chúng ta vẫn là một:

I have given to them the glory and honor which You have given Me, that they may be one as We are one:

23 C on ở trong họ và Cha ở trong Con, để cho họ toàn vẹn hiệp làm một, và cho thế gian biết chính Cha đã sai Con đến, và Cha đã yêu thương Con.

I in them and You in Me, in order that they may become one and perfectly united, that the world may know and recognize that You sent Me and that You have loved them as You have loved Me.

24 C ha ôi, Con muốn Con ở đâu thì những kẻ Cha đã giao cho Con cũng ở đó với Con, để họ ngắm xem sự vinh hiển của Con, là vinh hiển Cha đã ban cho Con, vì Cha đã yêu Con trước khi sáng thế.

Father, I desire that they also whom You have entrusted to Me may be with Me where I am, so that they may see My glory, which You have given Me; for You loved Me before the foundation of the world.

25 H ỡi Cha công bình, thế gian chẳng từng nhận biết Cha; song Con đã nhận biết Cha, và những kẻ nầy nhận rằng chính Cha đã sai Con đến.

O just and righteous Father, although the world has not known You and has failed to recognize You and has never acknowledged You, I have known You; and these men understand and know that You have sent Me.

26 C on đã tỏ danh Cha ra cho họ, Con lại sẽ tỏ ra nữa, để cho tình yêu thương của Cha dùng yêu thương Con ở trong họ, và chính mình Con cũng ở trong họ nữa.

I have made Your Name known to them and revealed Your character and Your very Self, and I will continue to make known, that the love which You have bestowed upon Me may be in them and that I may be in them.
