1 E stas cosas habló Jesús, y levantando los ojos al cielo, dijo: Padre, ha llegado la hora; glorifica a tu Hijo, para que también tu Hijo te glorifique a ti;

When Jesus had spoken these things, He lifted up His eyes to heaven and said, Father, the hour has come. Glorify and exalt and honor and magnify Your Son, so that Your Son may glorify and extol and honor and magnify You.

2 c omo le has dado potestad sobre toda carne, para que dé vida eterna a todos los que le has dado.

You have granted Him power and authority over all flesh (all humankind), so that He may give eternal life to all whom You have given Him.

3 Y esta es la vida eterna: que te conozcan a ti, el único Dios verdadero, y a Jesucristo, a quien has enviado.

And this is eternal life: to know (to perceive, recognize, become acquainted with, and understand) You, the only true and real God, and to know Him, Jesus Christ (the Anointed One, the Messiah), Whom You have sent.

4 Y o te he glorificado en la tierra; he llevado a término la obra que me diste a realizar.

I have glorified You down here on the earth by completing the work that You gave Me to do.

5 A hora pues, Padre, glorifícame tú al lado tuyo, con aquella gloria que tuve contigo antes que el mundo existiese.

And now, Father, glorify Me along with Yourself and restore Me to such majesty and honor in Your presence as I had with You before the world existed.

6 H e manifestado tu nombre a los hombres que del mundo me diste; tuyos eran, y me los diste, y han guardado tu palabra.

I have manifested Your Name to the people whom You have given Me out of the world. They were Yours, and You gave them to Me, and they have obeyed and kept Your word.

7 A hora han conocido que todas las cosas que me has dado, proceden de ti;

Now they know and understand that all You have given Me belongs to You.

8 p orque les he dado las palabras que me diste; y ellos las recibieron, y han conocido verdaderamente que salí de ti, y han creído que tú me enviaste.

For the words that You gave Me I have given them; and they have received and accepted and have come to know positively and in reality that I came forth from Your presence, and they have believed and are convinced that You did send Me.

9 Y o ruego por ellos; no ruego por el mundo, sino por los que me diste; porque tuyos son,

I am praying for them. I am not praying (requesting) for the world, but for those You have given Me, for they belong to You.

10 y todo lo mío es tuyo, y lo tuyo mío; y he sido glorificado en ellos.

All Mine are Yours, and all Yours belong to Me; and I am glorified in (through) them.

11 Y ya no estoy en el mundo; mas éstos están en el mundo, y yo voy a ti. Padre santo, a los que me has dado, guárdalos en tu nombre, para que sean uno, así como nosotros.

And I am no more in the world, but these are in the world, and I am coming to You. Holy Father, keep in Your Name '> in the knowledge of Yourself] those whom You have given Me, that they may be one as We.

12 C uando estaba con ellos en el mundo, yo los guardaba en tu nombre; a los que me diste, los guardé, y ninguno de ellos se perdió, sino el hijo de perdición, para que se cumpliese la Escritura.

While I was with them, I kept and preserved them in Your Name '> in the knowledge and worship of You]. Those You have given Me I guarded and protected, and not one of them has perished or is lost except the son of perdition, that the Scripture might be fulfilled.

13 P ero ahora voy a ti; y hablo esto en el mundo, para que tengan mi gozo completo en sí mismos.

And now I am coming to You; I say these things while I am still in the world, so that My joy may be made full and complete and perfect in them.

14 Y o les he dado tu palabra; y el mundo los aborreció, porque no son del mundo, como tampoco yo soy del mundo.

I have given and delivered to them Your word (message) and the world has hated them, because they are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.

15 N o ruego que los quites del mundo, sino que los guardes del mal.

I do not ask that You will take them out of the world, but that You will keep and protect them from the evil one.

16 N o son del mundo, como tampoco yo soy del mundo.

They are not of the world (worldly, belonging to the world), as I am not of the world.

17 S antifícalos en tu verdad; tu palabra es verdad.

Sanctify them by the Truth; Your Word is Truth.

18 C omo tú me enviaste al mundo, así yo los he enviado al mundo.

Just as You sent Me into the world, I also have sent them into the world.

19 Y por ellos yo me santifico a mí mismo, para que también ellos estén santificados en la verdad.

And so for their sake and on their behalf I sanctify (dedicate, consecrate) Myself, that they also may be sanctified (dedicated, consecrated, made holy) in the Truth.

20 M as no ruego solamente por éstos, sino también por los que han de creer en mí por medio de la palabra de ellos,

Neither for these alone do I pray, but also for all those who will ever come to believe in (trust in, cling to, rely on) Me through their word and teaching,

21 p ara que todos sean uno; como tú, oh Padre, en mí, y yo en ti, que también ellos sean uno en nosotros; para que el mundo crea que tú me enviaste.

That they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me and I in You, that they also may be one in Us, so that the world may believe and be convinced that You have sent Me.

22 Y yo les he dado la gloria que me diste, para que sean uno, así como nosotros somos uno.

I have given to them the glory and honor which You have given Me, that they may be one as We are one:

23 Y o en ellos, y tú en mí, para que sean perfectos en unidad, para que el mundo conozca que tú me enviaste, y que los has amado a ellos como también a mí me has amado.

I in them and You in Me, in order that they may become one and perfectly united, that the world may know and recognize that You sent Me and that You have loved them as You have loved Me.

24 P adre, aquellos que me has dado, quiero que donde yo estoy, también ellos estén conmigo, para que vean mi gloria que me has dado; porque me has amado desde antes de la fundación del mundo.

Father, I desire that they also whom You have entrusted to Me may be with Me where I am, so that they may see My glory, which You have given Me; for You loved Me before the foundation of the world.

25 P adre justo, el mundo no te ha conocido, pero yo te he conocido, y éstos han conocido que tú me enviaste.

O just and righteous Father, although the world has not known You and has failed to recognize You and has never acknowledged You, I have known You; and these men understand and know that You have sent Me.

26 Y les he dado a conocer tu nombre, y lo daré a conocer aún, para que el amor con que me has amado, esté en ellos, y yo en ellos.

I have made Your Name known to them and revealed Your character and Your very Self, and I will continue to make known, that the love which You have bestowed upon Me may be in them and that I may be in them.
