1 T ú, hijo de hombre, toma un ladrillo y ponlo delante de ti, y diseña sobre él la ciudad, Jerusalén.

And you, son of man, take a tile and lay it before you, and make upon it a drawing of a city, even Jerusalem.

2 Y pondrás contra ella un simulacro de asedio, y edificarás contra ella fortalezas, y sacarás contra ella baluarte; también pondrás delante de ella campamento, y colocarás contra ella arietes alrededor.

And put siege works against it, build a siege wall against it, and cast up a mound against it; set camps also against it and set battering rams against it round about.

3 T oma también una plancha de hierro, y ponla como un muro de hierro entre ti y la ciudad; volverás luego tu rostro hacia ella, y será puesta en estado de sitio, y tú estrecharás el cerco contra ella. Es señal para la casa de Israel.

Moreover, take a plate of iron and place it for an iron wall between you and the city; and set your face toward it and it shall be besieged, and you shall press the siege against it. This is a sign to the house of Israel.

4 Y tú te acostarás sobre tu lado izquierdo, y pondrás sobre él la maldad de la casa de Israel. Según el número de los días que duermas sobre él, llevarás sobre ti la maldad de ellos.

Then lie upon your left side to bear symbolically the iniquity of the house of the ten tribes of Israel upon that side. According to the number of days that you shall lie upon it you shall bear their iniquity.

5 P ues yo te he fijado los años de su maldad por el número de los días trescientos noventa días; y así llevarás tú la maldad de la casa de Israel.

For I have laid upon you the years of their iniquity, according to the number of the days, 390 days; so you shall bear the iniquity of the house of Israel.

6 C umplidos éstos, te acostarás sobre tu lado derecho segunda vez, y llevarás la maldad de la casa de Judá; cuarenta días, computándote cada día por un año.

And when you have fulfilled the days for Israel, lie again, but on your right side, and you shall bear the iniquity of the house of Judah forty days. I have appointed you one day for each year.

7 D espués volverás tu rostro hacia el asedio de Jerusalén, con el brazo descubierto, y profetizarás contra ella.

Therefore you shall set your face toward the siege of Jerusalem and your arm shall be uncovered, and you shall prophesy against.

8 Y he aquí que pongo sobre ti ataduras, y no te volverás de un lado a otro, hasta que hayas cumplido los días de tu asedio.

And, behold, I will lay bands upon you and you shall not turn yourself from one side to another till you have ended the days of your siege.

9 T oma también trigo, cebada, habas, lentejas, mijo y avena, y ponlos en una vasija, y hazte pan de ellos; según el número de los días que te acuestes sobre tu lado, trescientos noventa días, comerás de él.

Also take wheat, barley, beans, lentils, millet, and spelt, and put them into one vessel and make bread of them. According to the number of the days that you shall lie upon your side, 390 days you shall eat of it.

10 L a comida que comerás será de un peso de veinte siclos al día; de tiempo en tiempo la comerás.

And the food you eat shall be by weight, twenty shekels or a full half pound a day, to be eaten at a fixed time each day.

11 Y beberás el agua por medida, la sexta parte de un hin; de tiempo en tiempo la beberás.

You shall drink water by measure also, about one quart or the sixth part of a hin; you shall drink at a fixed time each day.

12 Y lo comerás en forma de galletas de cebada, que cocerás a la vista de ellos en el rescoldo de excrementos humanos.

And you shall eat your food as barley cakes and you shall bake it with human dung as fuel in the sight of the people.

13 Y dijo Jehová: Así comerán los hijos de Israel su pan inmundo, entre las naciones adonde los arrojaré yo.

And the Lord said, Even thus shall the children of Israel eat their defiled bread among the nations to whom I will drive them.

14 Y dije: ¡Ah, Señor Jehová!, he aquí que mi alma no ha sido manchada, ni nunca desde mi juventud hasta este tiempo comí cosa mortecina ni despedazada, ni nunca en mi boca entró carne inmunda.

Then said I, Ah, Lord God! Behold, I have never defiled myself. From my youth up even till now have I not eaten of that which dies of itself or is torn in pieces; neither did there ever come abominable flesh into my mouth.

15 Y me respondió: He aquí, te permito usar estiércol de bueyes, en lugar de excremento humano, para cocer en él tu pan.

Then He said to me, Behold, I will let you use cow’s dung instead of human dung, and you shall prepare your food with it.

16 M e dijo luego: Hijo de hombre, he aquí, quebrantaré el sustento del pan en Jerusalén; y comerán el pan por peso y con angustia, y beberán el agua por medida y con afán,

Moreover, He said to me, Son of man, behold, I will break the staff of bread in Jerusalem; and they shall eat bread rationed by weight and with fearfulness, and they shall drink water rationed by measure and with dismay (silent, speechless grief caused by the impending starvation),

17 p ara que al faltarles el pan y el agua, se miren unos a otros con espanto, y se consuman en su maldad.

In order that they may lack bread and water and look at one another in dismay and waste away for their iniquity.
