1 E l rey se alegra en tu poder, oh Jehová; Y en tu salvación, ¡cómo se goza!

The king shall joy in Your strength, O Lord; and in Your salvation how greatly shall he rejoice!

2 L e has concedido el deseo de su corazón, Y no le negaste la petición de sus labios. Selah

You have given him his heart’s desire and have not withheld the request of his lips. Selah!

3 P orque le has salido al encuentro con bendiciones venturosas; Corona de oro fino has puesto sobre su cabeza.

For You send blessings of good things to meet him; You set a crown of pure gold on his head.

4 V ida te demandó, y se la diste; Largo curso de días eternamente y para siempre.

He asked life of You, and You gave it to him—long life forever and evermore.

5 G ran gloria le da tu salvación; Honor y majestad has puesto sobre él.

His glory is great because of Your aid; splendor and majesty You bestow upon him.

6 P orque le has bendecido para siempre; Lo llenaste de alegría con tu presencia.

For You make him to be blessed and a blessing forever; You make him exceedingly glad with the joy of Your presence.

7 P or cuanto el rey confía en Jehová, Y con la gracia del Altísimo, no ha de vacilar.

For the king trusts, relies on, and is confident in the Lord, and through the mercy and steadfast love of the Most High he will never be moved.

8 A lcanzará tu mano a todos tus enemigos; Tu diestra alcanzará a los que te aborrecen.

Your hand shall find all Your enemies; Your right hand shall find all those who hate You.

9 L os pondrás como horno de fuego en el día de tu ira; Jehová los deshará en su ira, Y fuego los consumirá.

You will make them as if in a blazing oven in the time of Your anger; the Lord will swallow them up in His wrath, and the fire will utterly consume them.

10 S u fruto harás desaparecer de la tierra, Y su descendencia de entre los hijos de los hombres.

Their offspring You will destroy from the earth, and their sons from among the children of men.

11 S i intentan el mal contra ti Y fraguan maquinaciones, no prevalecerán,

For they planned evil against You; they conceived a mischievous plot which they are not able to perform.

12 P ues tú los pondrás en fuga; En tus cuerdas dispondrás saetas contra sus rostros.

For You will make them turn their backs; You will aim Your bow at their faces.

13 E ngrandécete, oh Jehová, en tu poder; Cantaremos y alabaremos tu poderío.

Be exalted, Lord, in Your strength; we will sing and praise Your power.
