1 A labad a Jehová, invocad su nombre; Dad a conocer sus obras en los pueblos.
O give thanks unto the Lord, call upon His name, make known His doings among the peoples!
2 C antadle, cantadle salmos; Pregonad todas sus maravillas.
Sing to Him, sing praises to Him; meditate on and talk of all His marvelous deeds and devoutly praise them.
3 G loriaos en su santo nombre; Alégrese el corazón de los que buscan a Jehová.
Glory in His holy name; let the hearts of those rejoice who seek and require the Lord.
4 B uscad a Jehová y su poder; Buscad siempre su rostro.
Seek, inquire of and for the Lord, and crave Him and His strength (His might and inflexibility to temptation); seek and require His face and His presence evermore.
5 A cordaos de las maravillas que él ha hecho, De sus prodigios y de los juicios de su boca,
remember the marvelous deeds that He has done, His miracles and wonders, the judgments and sentences which He pronounced.
6 O h vosotros, descendencia de Abraham su siervo, Hijos de Jacob, sus escogidos.
O you offspring of Abraham His servant, you children of Jacob, His chosen ones,
7 É l es Jehová nuestro Dios; En toda la tierra están sus juicios.
He is the Lord our God; His judgments are in all the earth.
8 S e acordó para siempre de su pacto; De la palabra dada por mil generaciones,
He is mindful of His covenant and forever it is imprinted on His heart, the word which He commanded and established to a thousand generations,
9 L a cual concertó con Abraham, Y de su juramento a Isaac.
The covenant which He made with Abraham, and His sworn promise to Isaac,
10 L a estableció a Jacob por decreto, A Israel por pacto sempiterno,
Which He confirmed to Jacob as a statute, to Israel as an everlasting covenant,
11 D iciendo: A ti te daré la tierra de Canaán Como porción de vuestra heredad.
Saying, Unto you will I give the land of Canaan as your measured portion, possession, and inheritance.
12 C uando ellos eran pocos en número, Y forasteros en ella,
When they were but a few men in number, in fact, very few, and were temporary residents and strangers in it,
13 Y andaban de nación en nación, De un reino a otro pueblo,
When they went from one nation to another, from one kingdom to another people,
14 N o consintió que nadie los oprimiera, Y por causa de ellos castigó a los reyes.
He allowed no man to do them wrong; in fact, He reproved kings for their sakes,
15 N o toquéis, dijo, a mis ungidos, Ni hagáis mal a mis profetas.
Saying, Touch not My anointed, and do My prophets no harm.
16 T rajo hambre sobre la tierra, Y quebrantó todo sustento de pan,
Moreover, He called for a famine upon the land; He cut off every source of bread.
17 E nvió a un varón delante de ellos; A José, que fue vendido como esclavo.
He sent a man before them, even Joseph, who was sold as a servant.
18 A fligieron sus pies con grillos; En cárcel fue puesta su persona.
His feet they hurt with fetters; he was laid in chains of iron and his soul entered into the iron,
19 H asta la hora en que se cumplió su predicción, Y le acreditó la palabra de Jehová.
Until his word came true, until the word of the Lord tried and tested him.
20 E nvió el rey, y le soltó; El señor de los pueblos le dejó ir libre.
The king sent and loosed him, even the ruler of the peoples, and let him go free.
21 L o puso por señor de su casa, Y por gobernador de todas sus posesiones,
He made Joseph lord of his house and ruler of all his substance,
22 P ara que reprimiera a sus grandes como él quisiese, Y a sus ancianos enseñara sabiduría.
To bind his princes at his pleasure and teach his elders wisdom.
23 D espués entró Israel en Egipto, Y Jacob moró en la tierra de Cam.
Israel also came into Egypt; and Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham.
24 Y multiplicó su pueblo en gran manera, Y lo hizo más fuerte que sus enemigos.
There greatly increased His people and made them stronger than their oppressors.
25 C ambió el corazón de ellos para que aborreciesen a su pueblo, Para que contra sus siervos tramasen el mal.
He turned the hearts to hate His people, to deal craftily with His servants.
26 E nvió a su siervo Moisés, Y a Aarón, al cual escogió.
He sent Moses His servant, and Aaron, whom He had chosen.
27 P or medio de ellos realizó sus señales, Y sus prodigios en la tierra de Cam.
They showed His signs among them, wonders and miracles in the land of Ham (Egypt).
28 E nvió tinieblas que lo oscurecieron todo; Pero fueron rebeldes a sus palabras.
He sent darkness and made the land dark, and they rebelled not against His word.
29 V olvió sus aguas en sangre, Y mató sus peces.
He turned waters into blood and caused their fish to die.
30 S u tierra produjo ranas Hasta en las alcobas de sus reyes.
Their land brought forth frogs in abundance, even in the chambers of their kings.
31 H abló, y vinieron enjambres de moscas, Y mosquitos en todos sus términos.
He spoke, and there came swarms of beetles and flies and mosquitoes and lice in all their borders.
32 L es dio granizo por lluvia, Y llamas de fuego en su tierra.
He gave them hail for rain, with lightning like flaming fire in their land.
33 D estrozó sus viñas y sus higueras, Y quebró los árboles de su territorio.
He smote their vines also and their fig trees and broke the trees of their borders.
34 H abló, y vinieron langostas, Y pulgón sinnúmero;
He spoke, and the locusts came, and the grasshoppers, and that without number,
35 Y comieron toda la hierba de su país, Y devoraron el fruto de su tierra.
And ate up all the vegetation in their land and devoured the fruit of their ground.
36 H irió de muerte a todos los primogénitos en su tierra, Todas las primicias de su fuerza.
He smote also all the firstborn in their land, the beginning and chief substance of all their strength.
37 A los suyos los sacó con plata y oro; Y no hubo en sus tribus ninguno que flaqueara.
He brought forth also with silver and gold, and there was not one feeble person among their tribes.
38 E gipto se alegró de que salieran, Porque su terror había caído sobre ellos.
Egypt was glad when they departed, for the fear of them had fallen upon the people.
39 E xtendió una nube por cubierta, Y fuego para alumbrar la noche.
The Lord spread a cloud for a covering, and a fire to give light in the night.
40 P idieron, e hizo venir codornices; Y los sació de pan del cielo.
asked, and He brought quails and satisfied them with the bread of heaven.
41 A brió la peña, y fluyeron aguas, Corrieron por los sequedales como un río.
He opened the rock, and water gushed out; it ran in the dry places like a river.
42 P orque se acordó de su santa palabra Dada a Abraham su siervo.
For He remembered His holy word and promise to Abraham His servant.
43 S acó a su pueblo con gozo; Con júbilo a sus escogidos.
And He brought forth His people with joy, and His chosen ones with gladness and singing,
44 L es dio las tierras de los gentiles, Y heredaron las labores de los pueblos;
And gave them the lands of the nations, and they reaped the fruits of those peoples’ labor,
45 P ara que guardasen sus estatutos, Y cumpliesen sus leyes. Aleluya.
That they might observe His statutes and keep His laws. Praise the Lord! (Hallelujah!)
