1 D ai graças ao Senhor; invocai o seu nome; fazei conhecidos os seus feitos entre os povos.
O give thanks unto the Lord, call upon His name, make known His doings among the peoples!
2 C antai-lhe, cantai-lhe louvores; falai de todas as suas maravilhas.
Sing to Him, sing praises to Him; meditate on and talk of all His marvelous deeds and devoutly praise them.
3 G loriai-vos no seu santo nome; regozije-se o coração daqueles que buscam ao Senhor.
Glory in His holy name; let the hearts of those rejoice who seek and require the Lord.
4 B uscai ao Senhor e a sua força; buscai a sua face continuamente.
Seek, inquire of and for the Lord, and crave Him and His strength (His might and inflexibility to temptation); seek and require His face and His presence evermore.
5 L embrai-vos das maravilhas que ele tem feito, dos seus prodígios e dos juízos da sua boca,
remember the marvelous deeds that He has done, His miracles and wonders, the judgments and sentences which He pronounced.
6 v ós, descendência de Abraão, seu servo, vós, filhos de Jacó, seus escolhidos.
O you offspring of Abraham His servant, you children of Jacob, His chosen ones,
7 E le é o Senhor nosso Deus; os seus juízos estão em toda a terra.
He is the Lord our God; His judgments are in all the earth.
8 L embra-se perpetuamente do seu pacto, da palavra que ordenou para mil gerações;
He is mindful of His covenant and forever it is imprinted on His heart, the word which He commanded and established to a thousand generations,
9 d o pacto que fez com Abraão, e do seu juramento a Isaque;
The covenant which He made with Abraham, and His sworn promise to Isaac,
10 o qual ele confirmou a Jacó por estatuto, e a Israel por pacto eterno,
Which He confirmed to Jacob as a statute, to Israel as an everlasting covenant,
11 d izendo: A ti darei a terra de Canaã, como porção da vossa herança.
Saying, Unto you will I give the land of Canaan as your measured portion, possession, and inheritance.
12 Q uando eles eram ainda poucos em número, de pouca importância, e forasteiros nela,
When they were but a few men in number, in fact, very few, and were temporary residents and strangers in it,
13 a ndando de nação em nação, dum reino para outro povo,
When they went from one nation to another, from one kingdom to another people,
14 n ão permitiu que ninguém os oprimisse, e por amor deles repreendeu reis, dizendo:
He allowed no man to do them wrong; in fact, He reproved kings for their sakes,
15 N ão toqueis nos meus ungidos, e não maltrateis os meus profetas.
Saying, Touch not My anointed, and do My prophets no harm.
16 C hamou a fome sobre a terra; retirou-lhes todo o sustento do pão.
Moreover, He called for a famine upon the land; He cut off every source of bread.
17 E nviou adiante deles um varão; José foi vendido como escravo;
He sent a man before them, even Joseph, who was sold as a servant.
18 f eriram-lhe os pés com grilhões; puseram-no a ferro,
His feet they hurt with fetters; he was laid in chains of iron and his soul entered into the iron,
19 a té o tempo em que a sua palavra se cumpriu; a palavra do Senhor o provou.
Until his word came true, until the word of the Lord tried and tested him.
20 O rei mandou, e fez soltá-lo; o governador dos povos o libertou.
The king sent and loosed him, even the ruler of the peoples, and let him go free.
21 F ê-lo senhor da sua casa, e governador de toda a sua fazenda,
He made Joseph lord of his house and ruler of all his substance,
22 p ara, a seu gosto, dar ordens aos príncipes, e ensinar aos anciãos a sabedoria.
To bind his princes at his pleasure and teach his elders wisdom.
23 E ntão Israel entrou no Egito, e Jacó peregrinou na terra de Cão.
Israel also came into Egypt; and Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham.
24 E o Senhor multiplicou sobremodo o seu povo, e o fez mais poderoso do que os seus inimigos.
There greatly increased His people and made them stronger than their oppressors.
25 M udou o coração destes para que odiassem o seu povo, e tratassem astutamente aos seus servos.
He turned the hearts to hate His people, to deal craftily with His servants.
26 E nviou Moisés, seu servo, e Arão, a quem escolhera,
He sent Moses His servant, and Aaron, whom He had chosen.
27 o s quais executaram entre eles os seus sinais e prodígios na terra de Cão.
They showed His signs among them, wonders and miracles in the land of Ham (Egypt).
28 M andou ã escuridão que a escurecesse; e foram rebeldes ã sua palavra.
He sent darkness and made the land dark, and they rebelled not against His word.
29 C onverteu-lhes as águas em sangue, e fez morrer os seus peixes.
He turned waters into blood and caused their fish to die.
30 A terra deles produziu rãs em abundância, até nas câmaras dos seus reis.
Their land brought forth frogs in abundance, even in the chambers of their kings.
31 E le falou, e vieram enxames de moscas em todo o seu têrmo.
He spoke, and there came swarms of beetles and flies and mosquitoes and lice in all their borders.
32 D eu-lhes saraiva por chuva, e fogo abrasador na sua terra.
He gave them hail for rain, with lightning like flaming fire in their land.
33 F eriu-lhes também as vinhas e os figueirais, e quebrou as árvores da sua terra.
He smote their vines also and their fig trees and broke the trees of their borders.
34 E le falou, e vieram gafanhotos, e pulgões em quantidade inumerável,
He spoke, and the locusts came, and the grasshoppers, and that without number,
35 q ue comeram toda a erva da sua terra, e devoraram o fruto dos seus campos.
And ate up all the vegetation in their land and devoured the fruit of their ground.
36 F eriu também todos os primogênitos da terra deles, as primícias de toda a sua força.
He smote also all the firstborn in their land, the beginning and chief substance of all their strength.
37 E fez sair os israelitas com prata e ouro, e entre as suas tribos não havia quem tropeçasse.
He brought forth also with silver and gold, and there was not one feeble person among their tribes.
38 O Egito alegrou-se quando eles saíram, porque o temor deles o dominara.
Egypt was glad when they departed, for the fear of them had fallen upon the people.
39 E stendeu uma nuvem para os cobrir, e um fogo para os alumiar de noite.
The Lord spread a cloud for a covering, and a fire to give light in the night.
40 E les pediram, e ele fez vir codornizes, e os saciou com pão do céu.
asked, and He brought quails and satisfied them with the bread of heaven.
41 F endeu a rocha, e dela brotaram águas, que correram pelos lugares áridos como um rio.
He opened the rock, and water gushed out; it ran in the dry places like a river.
42 P orque se lembrou da sua santa palavra, e de Abraão, seu servo.
For He remembered His holy word and promise to Abraham His servant.
43 F ez sair com alegria o seu povo, e com cânticos de júbilo os seus escolhidos.
And He brought forth His people with joy, and His chosen ones with gladness and singing,
44 D eu-lhes as terras das nações, e eles herdaram o fruto do trabalho dos povos,
And gave them the lands of the nations, and they reaped the fruits of those peoples’ labor,
45 p ara que guardassem os seus preceitos, e observassem as suas leis. Louvai ao Senhor
That they might observe His statutes and keep His laws. Praise the Lord! (Hallelujah!)
