1 Ó Senhor, ouve a minha oração, dá ouvidos

Hear my prayer, O Lord, give ear to my supplications! In Your faithfulness answer me, and in Your righteousness.

2 e não entres em juízo com o teu servo, porque ã tua vista não se achará justo nenhum vivente.

And enter not into judgment with Your servant, for in Your sight no man living is righteous or justified.

3 P ois o inimigo me perseguiu; abateu-me até o chão; fez-me habitar em lugares escuros, como aqueles que morreram há muito.

For the enemy has pursued and persecuted my soul, he has crushed my life down to the ground; he has made me to dwell in dark places as those who have been long dead.

4 P elo que dentro de mim esmorece o meu espírito, e em mim está desolado o meu coração.

Therefore is my spirit overwhelmed and faints within me; my heart within my bosom grows numb.

5 L embro-me dos dias antigos; considero todos os teus feitos; medito na obra das tuas mãos.

I remember the days of old; I meditate on all Your doings; I ponder the work of Your hands.

6 A ti estendo as minhas mãos; a minha alma, qual terra sedenta, tem sede de ti.

I spread forth my hands to You; my soul thirsts after You like a thirsty land. Selah!

7 A tende-me depressa, ó Senhor; o meu espírito desfalece; não escondas de mim o teu rosto, para que não me torne semelhante aos que descem ã cova.

Answer me speedily, O Lord, for my spirit fails; hide not Your face from me, lest I become like those who go down into the pit (the grave).

8 F aze-me ouvir da tua benignidade pela manhã, pois em ti confio; faze-me saber o caminho que devo seguir, porque a ti elevo a minha alma.

Cause me to hear Your loving-kindness in the morning, for on You do I lean and in You do I trust. Cause me to know the way wherein I should walk, for I lift up my inner self to You.

9 L ivra-me, ó Senhor, dos meus inimigos; porque em ti é que eu me refugio.

Deliver me, O Lord, from my enemies; I flee to You to hide me.

10 E nsina-me a fazer a tua vontade, pois tu és o meu Deus; guie-me o teu bom Espírito por terreno plano.

Teach me to do Your will, for You are my God; let Your good Spirit lead me into a level country and into the land of uprightness.

11 V ivifica-me, ó Senhor, por amor do teu nome; por amor da tua justiça, tira-me da tribulação.

Save my life, O Lord, for Your name’s sake; in Your righteousness, bring my life out of trouble and free me from distress.

12 E por tua benignidade extermina os meus inimigos, e destrói todos os meus adversários, pois eu sou servo.

And in your mercy and loving-kindness, cut off my enemies and destroy all those who afflict my inner self, for I am Your servant.
