Incline Your ear, O Lord, and answer me, for I am poor and distressed, needy and desiring.

2 P reserva a minha vida, pois sou piedoso; o Deus meu, salva o teu servo, que em ti confia.

Preserve my life, for I am godly and dedicated; O my God, save Your servant, for I trust in You.

Be merciful and gracious to me, O Lord, for to You do I cry all the day.

Make me, Your servant, to rejoice, O Lord, for to You do I lift myself up.

5 P orque tu, Senhor, és bom, e pronto a perdoar, e abundante em benignidade para com todos os que te invocam.

For You, O Lord, are good, and ready to forgive; and You are abundant in mercy and loving-kindness to all those who call upon You.

6 D á ouvidos, Senhor, ã minha oração, e atende ã voz das minhas súplicas.

Give ear, O Lord, to my prayer; and listen to the cry of my supplications.

7 N o dia da minha angústia clamo a ti, porque tu me respondes.

In the day of my trouble I will call on You, for You will answer me.

8 E ntre os deuses nenhum há semelhante a ti, Senhor, nem há obras como as tuas.

There is none like unto You among the gods, O Lord, neither are their works like unto Yours.

9 T odas as nações que fizeste virão e se prostrarão diante de ti, Senhor, e glorificarão o teu nome.

All nations whom You have made shall come and fall down before You, O Lord; and they shall glorify Your name.

10 E nsina-me, Senhor, o teu caminho, e andarei na tua verdade; dispõe o meu coração para temer o teu nome.

For You are great and work wonders! You alone are God.

11 L ouvar-te-ei, Senhor Deus meu, de todo o meu coração, e glorificarei o teu nome para sempre.

Teach me Your way, O Lord, that I may walk and live in Your truth; direct and unite my heart to fear and honor Your name.

12 P ois grande é a tua benignidade para comigo, e livraste a minha alma das profundezas do Seol.

I will confess and praise You, O Lord my God, with my whole (united) heart; and I will glorify Your name forevermore.

For great is Your mercy and loving-kindness toward me; and You have delivered me from the depths of Sheol.

14 Ó Deus, os soberbos têm-se levantado contra mim, e um bando de homens violentos procura tirar-me a vida; eles não te puseram diante dos seus olhos.

O God, the proud and insolent are risen against me; a rabble of violent and ruthless men has sought and demanded my life, and they have not set You before them.

15 M as tu, Senhor, és um Deus compassivo e benigno, longânimo, e abundante em graça e em fidelidade.

But You, O Lord, are a God merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in mercy and loving-kindness and truth.

16 V olta-te para mim, e compadece-te de mim; dá a tua força ao teu servo, e a salva o filho da tua serva.

O turn to me and have mercy and be gracious to me; grant strength (might and inflexibility to temptation) to Your servant and save the son of Your handmaiden.

17 M ostra-me um sinal do teu favor, para que o vejam aqueles que me odeiam, e sejam envergonhados, por me haveres tu, Senhor, ajuntado e confortado.

Show me a sign of goodwill and favor, that those who hate me may see it and be put to shame, because You, Lord, help and comfort me.
