1 Ó Deus do meu louvor, não te cales;

O God of my praise! Keep not silence,

2 p ois a boca do ímpio e a boca fraudulenta se abrem contra mim; falam contra mim com uma língua mentirosa.

For the mouths of the wicked and the mouth of deceit are opened against me; they have spoken to me and against me with lying tongues.

3 E les me cercam com palavras de ódio, e pelejam contra mim sem causa.

They have compassed me about also with words of hatred and have fought against me without a cause.

4 E m paga do meu amor são meus adversários; mas eu me dedico ã oração.

In return for my love they are my adversaries, but I resort to prayer.

5 R etribuem-me o mal pelo bem, e o ódio pelo amor.

And they have rewarded and laid upon me evil for good, and hatred for my love.

6 P õe sobre ele um ímpio, e esteja ã sua direita um acusador.

Set a wicked man over him, and let accuser stand at his right hand.

7 Q uando ele for julgado, saia condenado; e em pecado se lhe torne a sua oração!

When is judged, let him be condemned, and let his prayer be turned into a sin.

8 S ejam poucos os seus dias, e outro tome o seu ofício!

Let his days be few; and let another take his office and charge.

9 F iquem órfãos os seus filhos, e viúva a sua mulher!

Let his children be fatherless and his wife a widow.

10 A ndem errantes os seus filhos, e mendiguem; esmolem longe das suas habitações assoladas.

Let his children be continual vagabonds and beg; let them seek their bread and be driven far from their ruined homes.

11 O credor lance mão de tudo quanto ele tenha, e despojem-no os estranhos do fruto do seu trabalho!

Let the creditor and extortioner seize all that he has; and let strangers (barbarians and foreigners) plunder the fruits of his labor.

12 N ão haja ninguém que se compadeça dele, nem haja quem tenha pena dos seus órfãos!

Let there be none to extend or continue mercy and kindness to him, neither let there be any to have pity on his fatherless children.

13 S eja extirpada a sua posteridade; o seu nome seja apagado na geração seguinte!

Let his posterity be cut off, and in the generation following let their names be blotted out.

14 E steja na memória do Senhor a iniqüidade de seus pais; e não se apague o pecado de sua mãe!

Let the iniquity of his fathers be remembered by the Lord; and let not the sin of his mother be blotted out.

15 A ntes estejam sempre perante o Senhor, para que ele faça desaparecer da terra a memória deles!

Let them be before the Lord continually, that He may cut off the memory of them from the earth!—

16 P orquanto não se lembrou de usar de benignidade; antes perseguiu o varão aflito e o necessitado, como também o quebrantado de coração, para o matar.

Because the man did not remember to show mercy, but pursued and persecuted the poor and needy man, and the broken in heart to slay.

17 V isto que amou a maldição, que ela lhe sobrevenha! Como não desejou a bênção, que ela se afaste dele!

Yes, he loved cursing, and it came upon him; he delighted not in blessing, and it was far from him.

18 A ssim como se vestiu de maldição como dum vestido, assim penetre ela nas suas entranhas como água, e em seus ossos como azeite!

He clothed himself also with cursing as with his garment, and it seeped into his inward like water, and like oil into his bones.

19 S eja para ele como o vestido com que ele se cobre, e como o cinto com que sempre anda cingido!

Let it be to him as the raiment with which he covers himself and as the girdle with which he is girded continually.

20 S eja este, da parte do Senhor, o galardão dos meus adversários, e dos que falam mal contra mim!

Let this be the reward of my adversaries from the Lord, and of those who speak evil against my life.

21 M as tu, ó Deus, meu Senhor age em meu favor por amor do teu nome; pois que é boa a tua benignidade, livra-me;

But You deal with me and act for me, O God the Lord, for Your name’s sake; because Your mercy and loving-kindness are good, O deliver me.

22 p ois sou pobre e necessitado, e dentro de mim está ferido o meu coração.

For I am poor and needy, and my heart is wounded and stricken within me.

23 E is que me vou como a sombra que declina; sou arrebatado como o gafanhoto.

I am gone like the shadow when it lengthens and declines; I toss up and down and am shaken off as the locust.

24 O s meus joelhos estão enfraquecidos pelo jejum, e a minha carne perde a sua gordura.

My knees are weak and totter from fasting; and my body is gaunt and has no fatness.

25 E u sou para eles objeto de opróbrio; ao me verem, meneiam a cabeça.

I have become also a reproach and a taunt to others; when they see me, they shake their heads.

26 A juda-me, Senhor, Deus meu; salva-me segundo a tua benignidade.

Help me, O Lord my God; O save me according to Your mercy and loving-kindness!—

27 S aibam que nisto está a tua mão, e que tu, Senhor, o fizeste.

That they may know that this is Your hand, that You, Lord, have done it.

28 A maldiçoem eles, mas abençoa tu; fiquem confundidos os meus adversários; mas alegre-se o teu servo!

Let them curse, but do You bless. When adversaries arise, let them be put to shame, but let Your servant rejoice.

29 V istam-se de ignomínia os meus acusadores, e cubram-se da sua própria vergonha como dum manto!

Let my adversaries be clothed with shame and dishonor, and let them cover themselves with their own disgrace and confusion as with a robe.

30 M uitas graças darei ao Senhor com a minha boca;

I will give great praise and thanks to the Lord with my mouth; yes, and I will praise Him among the multitude.

31 P ois ele se coloca ã direita do poder, para o salvar dos que o condenam.

For He will stand at the right hand of the poor and needy, to save him from those who condemn his life.
