1 Д якуйте Господу, кличте ім'я Його, серед народів звіщайте про чини Його!

O give thanks unto the Lord, call upon His name, make known His doings among the peoples!

2 С півайте Йому, грайте Йому, говоріть про всі чуда Його!

Sing to Him, sing praises to Him; meditate on and talk of all His marvelous deeds and devoutly praise them.

3 Х валіться святим Його Йменням, хай тішиться серце шукаючих Господа!

Glory in His holy name; let the hearts of those rejoice who seek and require the Lord.

4 П ошукуйте Господа й силу Його, лице Його завжди шукайте!

Seek, inquire of and for the Lord, and crave Him and His strength (His might and inflexibility to temptation); seek and require His face and His presence evermore.

5 П ам'ятайте про чуда Його, які Він учинив, про ознаки Його та про присуди уст Його,

remember the marvelous deeds that He has done, His miracles and wonders, the judgments and sentences which He pronounced.

6 в и, насіння Авраама, раба Його, сини Яковові, вибранці Його!

O you offspring of Abraham His servant, you children of Jacob, His chosen ones,

7 В ін Господь, Бог наш, по цілій землі Його присуди!

He is the Lord our God; His judgments are in all the earth.

8 В ін пам'ятає навіки Свого заповіта, те слово, яке наказав був на тисячу родів,

He is mindful of His covenant and forever it is imprinted on His heart, the word which He commanded and established to a thousand generations,

9 щ о склав Він його з Авраамом, і присягу Свою для ісака.

The covenant which He made with Abraham, and His sworn promise to Isaac,

10 В ін поставив її за Закона для Якова, ізраїлеві заповітом навіки,

Which He confirmed to Jacob as a statute, to Israel as an everlasting covenant,

11 г оворячи: Я дам тобі Край ханаанський, частину спадщини для вас!

Saying, Unto you will I give the land of Canaan as your measured portion, possession, and inheritance.

12 Т оді їх було невелике число, нечисленні були та приходьки на ній,

When they were but a few men in number, in fact, very few, and were temporary residents and strangers in it,

13 і ходили вони від народу до народу, від царства до іншого люду.

When they went from one nation to another, from one kingdom to another people,

14 Н е дозволив нікому Він кривдити їх, і за них Він царям докоряв:

He allowed no man to do them wrong; in fact, He reproved kings for their sakes,

15 Н е доторкуйтеся до Моїх помазанців, а пророкам Моїм не робіте лихого!

Saying, Touch not My anointed, and do My prophets no harm.

16 і покликав Він голод на землю, всяке хлібне стебло поламав.

Moreover, He called for a famine upon the land; He cut off every source of bread.

17 П еред їхнім обличчям Він мужа послав, за раба Йосип проданий був.

He sent a man before them, even Joseph, who was sold as a servant.

18 К айданами мучили ноги його, залізо пройшло в його тіло,

His feet they hurt with fetters; he was laid in chains of iron and his soul entered into the iron,

19 а ж до часу виповнення слова Його, слово Господнє його було виявило.

Until his word came true, until the word of the Lord tried and tested him.

20 Ц ар послав і його розв'язав, володар народів і його був звільнив.

The king sent and loosed him, even the ruler of the peoples, and let him go free.

21 В ін настановив його паном над домом своїм, і володарем над усім маєтком своїм,

He made Joseph lord of his house and ruler of all his substance,

22 щ об в'язнив він його можновладців по волі своїй, а старших його умудряв.

To bind his princes at his pleasure and teach his elders wisdom.

23 і ізраїль прибув до Єгипту, і Яків замешкав у Хамовім краї.

Israel also came into Egypt; and Jacob sojourned in the land of Ham.

24 А народ Свій Він сильно розмножив, і зробив був ряснішим його від його ворогів.

There greatly increased His people and made them stronger than their oppressors.

25 В ін перемінив їхнє серце, щоб народа Його ненавиділи, щоб брались на хитрощі проти рабів Його.

He turned the hearts to hate His people, to deal craftily with His servants.

26 В ін послав був Мойсея, Свого раба, Аарона, що вибрав його,

He sent Moses His servant, and Aaron, whom He had chosen.

27 в они положили були серед них Його речі знаменні, та чуда у Хамовім краї.

They showed His signs among them, wonders and miracles in the land of Ham (Egypt).

28 В ін темноту наслав і потемніло, і вони не противились слову Його.

He sent darkness and made the land dark, and they rebelled not against His word.

29 В ін перемінив їхню воду на кров, і вморив їхню рибу.

He turned waters into blood and caused their fish to die.

30 Ї хній край зароївся був жабами, навіть в покоях царів їхніх.

Their land brought forth frogs in abundance, even in the chambers of their kings.

31 В ін сказав й прибули рої мух, воші в цілому обширі їхньому.

He spoke, and there came swarms of beetles and flies and mosquitoes and lice in all their borders.

32 В ін градом зробив їхній дощ, палючий огонь на їхню землю.

He gave them hail for rain, with lightning like flaming fire in their land.

33 і Він повибивав виноград їхній та фіґове дерево їхнє, і деревину на обширі їхньому повиломлював.

He smote their vines also and their fig trees and broke the trees of their borders.

34 В ін сказав і найшла сарана та гусінь без ліку,

He spoke, and the locusts came, and the grasshoppers, and that without number,

35 у сю ярину в їхнім краї пожерла, і плід землі їхньої з'їла.

And ate up all the vegetation in their land and devoured the fruit of their ground.

36 і Він повбивав усіх первістків в їхньому краї, початок усякої їхньої сили.

He smote also all the firstborn in their land, the beginning and chief substance of all their strength.

37 і Він випровадив їх у сріблі та в золоті, і серед їхніх племен не було, хто б спіткнувся.

He brought forth also with silver and gold, and there was not one feeble person among their tribes.

38 Є гипет радів, коли вийшли вони, бо страх перед ними напав був на них.

Egypt was glad when they departed, for the fear of them had fallen upon the people.

39 В ін хмару простяг на заслону, а огонь на освітлення ночі.

The Lord spread a cloud for a covering, and a fire to give light in the night.

40 З ажадав був ізраїль і Він перепелиці наслав, і хлібом небесним Він їх годував.

asked, and He brought quails and satisfied them with the bread of heaven.

41 В ідчинив був Він скелю й линула вода, потекли були ріки в пустинях,

He opened the rock, and water gushed out; it ran in the dry places like a river.

42 б о Він пам'ятав за святе Своє слово, за Авраама, Свого раба.

For He remembered His holy word and promise to Abraham His servant.

43 і Він з радістю вивів народ Свій, зо співом вибранців Своїх,

And He brought forth His people with joy, and His chosen ones with gladness and singing,

44 і їм землю народів роздав, і посіли вони працю людів,

And gave them the lands of the nations, and they reaped the fruits of those peoples’ labor,

45 щ об виконували Його заповіді, та закони Його берегли! Алілуя!

That they might observe His statutes and keep His laws. Praise the Lord! (Hallelujah!)
