1 Я прихилявся до тих, що Мене не питали, Я знайдений тими, що Мене не шукали. Я казав: Оце Я, оце Я! до народу, що Йменням Моїм не був званий.

I was inquired of by those who asked not; I was found by those who sought Me not. I said, Here I am, here I am to a nation that has not called on My name.

2 Я ввесь день простягав Свої руки до люду запеклого, що він, за своїми думками, дорогою ходить недоброю,

I have spread out My hands all the day long to a rebellious people, who walk in a way that is not good, after their own thoughts—

3 д о народу, що в очі Мене прогнівляє постійно, що жертви приносить в садках та що палить кадило на цеглах,

A people who provoke Me to My face continually, sacrificing in gardens and burning incense upon bricks;

4 щ о сидить у гробах та ночує по ямах, їсть свинину, і в їхньому посуді юшка нечиста,

Who sit among the graves and lodge among the secret places; who eat swine’s flesh, and the broth of abominable and loathsome things is in their vessels;

5 щ о говорить: Спинись, не зближайся до мене, бо святий я для тебе! Оце дим в Моїй ніздрі, огонь, що палає ввесь день!

Who say, Keep to yourself; do not come near me, for I am set apart from you! These are smoke in My nostrils, a fire that burns all the day.

6 О сь написане перед обличчям Моїм: Я не буду мовчати, але відплачу, і надолужу на їхньому лоні!

Behold, it is written before Me: I will not keep silence but will repay; yes, I will repay into their bosom

7 У купі переступи ваші й переступи ваших батьків, говорить Господь, що кадили на горах і на взгір'ях Мене зневажали, і заплату їм виміряю Я найперше до їхнього лоня!...

Both your own iniquities and the iniquities of your fathers, says the Lord. Because they too burned incense upon the mountains and reviled and blasphemed Me upon the hills, therefore will I measure and stretch out their former doings into their own bosom.

8 Т ак говорить Господь: Коли в гроні знаходиться сік виноградний, і хтось скаже: Не псуй ти його, бо благословення у ньому, отак Я зроблю ради рабів Своїх, щоб усього не нищити!

Thus says the Lord: As the juice is found in the cluster, and one says, Do not destroy it, for there is a blessing in it, so will I do for My servants’ sake, that I may not destroy them all.

9 І насіння Я виведу з Якова, а з Юди спадкоємця гір Моїх, і вибранці Мої одідичать її, і раби Мої житимуть там.

And I will bring forth an offspring from Jacob, and from Judah an inheritor of My mountains; My chosen and elect will inherit it, and My servants will dwell there.

10 І стане Шарон пасовиськом отари, а долина Ахор за ліжницю худоби великої, для народу Мого, що шукали Мене.

And Sharon shall be a pasture and fold for flocks, and the Valley of Achor a place for herds to lie down, for My people who seek Me, inquire of Me, and require Me.

11 А ви, що Господа кидаєте, забуваєте гору святу Мою, що ставите Ґаду трапезу, а для Мені виповнюєте жертву литу,

But you who forsake the Lord, who forget and ignore My holy Mount, who prepare a table for Gad and who furnish mixed drinks for Meni —

12 т о вас відраховую Я для меча, й на коліна впадете ви всі на заріз, бо кликав Я вас, та ви відповіді не дали, говорив був, але ви не чули й робили лихе в Моїх очах, і чого не хотів, вибирали собі!...

I will destine you for the sword, and you shall all bow down to the slaughter, because when I called, you did not answer; when I spoke, you did not listen or obey. But you did what was evil in My eyes, and you chose that in which I did not delight.

13 Т ому Господь Бог каже так: Ось будуть раби Мої їсти, а ви будете голодувати, ось будуть раби Мої пити, а ви будете спрагнені, ось будуть раби Мої радіти, а ви посоромлені будете...

Therefore thus says the Lord God: Behold, My servants shall eat, but you shall be hungry; behold, My servants shall drink, but you shall be thirsty; behold, My servants shall rejoice, but you shall be put to shame.

14 О сь раби Мої будуть співати від радости серця свого, ви ж кричатимете від сердечного болю, і від скрушення духа заводити будете...

Behold, My servants shall sing for joy of heart, but you shall cry out for pain and sorrow of heart and shall wail and howl for anguish, vexation, and breaking of spirit.

15 І ви своє ймення дасте на прокляття вибранцям Моїм, і Господь Бог тебе вб'є, а рабам Своїм дасть інше ймення,

And you will leave your name to My chosen for a curse; and the Lord God will slay you, but He will call His servants by another name.

16 т ак що хто на землі благословлений буде, буде поблагословлений він вірним Богом, а хто на землі присягає, вірним Богом присягне, бо забудуться утиски давні і заховані будуть вони від очей Моїх!

So that he who invokes a blessing on himself in the land shall do so by saying, May the God of truth and fidelity bless me; and he who takes an oath in the land shall swear by the God of truth and faithfulness to His promises, because the former troubles are forgotten and because they are hidden from My eyes.

17 Б о ось Я створю нове небо та землю нову, і не згадаються речі колишні, і не прийдуть на серце!

For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth. And the former things shall not be remembered or come into mind.

18 Т ож навіки радійте та тіштеся тим, що творю Я, бо ось Я створю Єрусалима на радість, а народа його на веселість!

But be glad and rejoice forever in that which I create; for behold, I create Jerusalem to be a rejoicing and her people a joy.

19 І буду Я Єрусалимом радіти, і втішатися буду народом Своїм, і не почується в ньому вже голос плачу й голос зойку!

And I will rejoice in Jerusalem and be glad in My people; and the sound of weeping will no more be heard in it, nor the cry of distress.

20 З цього часу не буде вже юного днями й старого, який своїх днів не поповнить, бо сторокий помре як юнак, а грішник і в віці ста літ буде проклятий!

There shall no more be in it an infant who lives but a few days, or an old man who dies prematurely; for the child shall die a hundred years old, and the sinner who dies when only a hundred years old shall be accursed.

21 І доми побудують, і мешкати будуть, і засадять вони виноградники, і будуть їхній плід споживати.

They shall build houses and inhabit them, and they shall plant vineyards and eat the fruit of them.

22 Н е будуть вони будувати, щоб інший сидів, не будуть садити, щоб інший спожив, дні бо народу Мого як дні дерева, і вибранці Мої зуживатимуть чин Своїх рук!

They shall not build and another inhabit; they shall not plant and another eat. For as the days of a tree, so shall be the days of My people, and My chosen and elect shall long make use of and enjoy the work of their hands.

23 Н е будуть вони працювати надармо, і не будуть родити на страх, вони бо насіння, благословлене Господом, і нащадки їхні з ними.

They shall not labor in vain or bring forth for sudden terror or calamity; for they shall be the descendants of the blessed of the Lord, and their offspring with them.

24 І станеться, поки покличуть, то Я відповім, вони будуть іще говорити, а Я вже почую!

And it shall be that before they call I will answer; and while they are yet speaking I will hear.

25 В овк та вівця будуть пастися разом, і лев буде їсти солому, немов та худоба, а гадові хлібом його буде порох!... Вони не чинитимуть зла й вигубляти не будуть на всій святій Моїй горі, говорить Господь.

The wolf and the lamb shall feed together, and the lion shall eat straw like the ox; and dust shall be the serpent’s food. They shall not hurt or destroy in all My holy Mount, says the Lord.
