1 П салом Асафів. Прорік Бог над Богами Господь, і землю покликав від схід сонця і аж до заходу його.

The Mighty One, God, the Lord, speaks and calls the earth from the rising of the sun to its setting.

2 і з Сіону, корони краси, Бог явився в промінні!

Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God shines forth.

3 П риходить наш Бог, і не буде мовчати: палючий огонь перед Ним, а круг Нього все буриться сильно!

Our God comes and does not keep silence; a fire devours before Him, and round about Him a mighty tempest rages.

4 В ін покличе згори небеса, і землю народ Свій судити:

He calls to the heavens above and to the earth, that He may judge His people:

5 П озбирайте для Мене побожних Моїх, що над жертвою склали заповіта зо Мною.

Gather together to Me My saints, those who have made a covenant with Me by sacrifice.

6 і небеса звістять правду Його, що Бог Він суддя. Села.

And the heavens declare His righteousness (rightness and justice), for God, He is judge. Selah!

7 С лухай же ти, Мій народе, бо буду ось Я говорити, ізраїлеві, і буду свідчить на тебе: Бог, Бог твій Я!

Hear, O My people, and I will speak; O Israel, I will testify to you and against you: I am God, your God.

8 Я буду картати тебе не за жертви твої, бо все передо Мною твої цілопалення,

I do not reprove you for your sacrifices; your burnt offerings are continually before Me.

9 н е візьму Я бичка з твого дому, ні козлів із кошар твоїх,

I will accept no bull from your house nor he-goat out of your folds.

10 б о належить Мені вся лісна звірина та худоба із тисячі гір,

For every beast of the forest is Mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills or upon the mountains where thousands are.

11 Я знаю все птаство гірське, і звір польовий при Мені!

I know and am acquainted with all the birds of the mountains, and the wild animals of the field are Mine and are with Me, in My mind.

12 Я кби був Я голодний, тобі б не сказав, бо Моя вся вселенна й усе, що на ній!

If I were hungry, I would not tell you, for the world and its fullness are Mine.

13 Ч и Я м'ясо бичків споживаю, і чи п'ю кров козлів?

Shall I eat the flesh of bulls or drink the blood of goats?

14 П ринось Богові в жертву подяку, і виконуй свої обітниці Всевишньому,

Offer to God the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and pay your vows to the Most High,

15 і до Мене поклич в день недолі, Я тебе порятую, ти ж прославиш Мене!

And call on Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall honor and glorify Me.

16 А до грішника Бог промовляє: Чого про устави Мої розповідаєш, і чого заповіта Мого на устах своїх носиш?

But to the wicked, God says: What right have you to recite My statutes or take My covenant or pledge on your lips,

17 Т и ж науку зненавидів, і поза себе слова Мої викинув.

Seeing that you hate instruction and correction and cast My words behind you ?

18 Я к ти злодія бачив, то бігав із ним, і з перелюбниками накладав.

When you see a thief, you associate with him, and you have taken part with adulterers.

19 С вої уста пускаєш на зло, і язик твій оману плете.

You give your mouth to evil, and your tongue frames deceit.

20 Т и сидиш, проти брата свого наговорюєш, поголоски пускаєш про сина своєї матері...

You sit and speak against your brother; you slander your own mother’s son.

21 О це ти робив, Я ж мовчав, і ти думав, що Я такий самий, як ти. Тому буду картати тебе, і виложу все перед очі твої!

These things you have done and I kept silent; you thought I was once entirely like you. But I will reprove you and put in order before your eyes.

22 З розумійте ж це ви, що забуваєте Бога, щоб Я не схопив, бо не буде кому рятувати!

Now consider this, you who forget God, lest I tear you in pieces, and there be none to deliver.

23 Х то жертву подяки приносить, той шанує Мене; а хто на дорогу Свою уважає, Боже спасіння йому покажу!

He who brings an offering of praise and thanksgiving honors and glorifies Me; and he who orders his way aright, to him I will demonstrate the salvation of God.
