1 Д ля дириґетна хору. До флейти. Псалом Давидів. (5-2) Почуй, Господи, мову мою, стогнання моє зрозумій.

Listen to my words, O Lord, give heed to my sighing and groaning.

2 ( 5-3) Прислухайсь до голосу зойку мого, о мій Царю та Боже Ти мій, як до Тебе молитися буду!

Hear the sound of my cry, my King and my God, for to You do I pray.

3 ( 5-4) Ти слухаєш, Господи, ранком мій голос, ранком молитися буду до Тебе та буду чекати,

In the morning You hear my voice, O Lord; in the morning I prepare for You and watch and wait.

4 ( 5-5) бо Бог Ти не той, що несправедливости хоче, зло не буде в Тобі пробувати!

For You are not a God Who takes pleasure in wickedness; neither will the evil so much as dwell with You.

5 ( 5-6) Перед очима Твоїми не втримаються гультяї, всіх злочинців ненавидиш Ти.

Boasters can have no standing in Your sight; You abhor all evildoers.

6 ( 5-7) Погубиш Ти неправдомовців, кровожерну й підступну людину обридить Господь.

You will destroy those who speak lies; the Lord abhors the bloodthirsty and deceitful man.

7 ( 5-8) А я в ласці великій Твоїй до дому Твого ввійду, до Храму святого Твого вклонюся в страху Твоїм.

But as for me, I will enter Your house through the abundance of Your steadfast love and mercy; I will worship toward and at Your holy temple in reverent fear and awe of You.

8 ( 5-9) Провадь мене, Господи, в правді Своїй задля моїх ворогів, і вирівняй передо мною дорогу Свою,

Lead me, O Lord, in Your righteousness because of my enemies; make Your way level (straight and right) before my face.

9 ( 5-10) бо в їхніх устах нема правди, нутро їхнє приносить нещастя, гріб відкритий їхнє горло, свій язик вони роблять гладеньким!

For there is nothing trustworthy or steadfast or truthful in their talk; their heart is destruction; their throat is an open sepulcher; they flatter and make smooth with their tongue.

10 ( 5-11) Признай їх за винних, о Боже, через свої заміри хай упадуть, за їхні великі злочинства відкинь їх від Себе, бо вони проти Тебе бунтують!

Hold them guilty, O God; let them fall by their own designs and counsels; cast them out because of the multitude of their transgressions, for they have rebelled against You.

11 ( 5-12) А всі, хто надію на Тебе складають, хай тішаться, будуть вічно співати вони, і Ти їх охорониш, і будуть радіти Тобою, хто любить ім'я Твоє!

But let all those who take refuge and put their trust in You rejoice; let them ever sing and shout for joy, because You make a covering over them and defend them; let those also who love Your name be joyful in You and be in high spirits.

12 ( 5-13) Бо Ти, Господи, благословлятимеш праведного, милістю вкриєш його, як щитом!

For You, Lord, will bless the righteous; as with a shield You will surround him with goodwill (pleasure and favor).
