1 Н е зробите собі божків та ідола, і кам'яного стовпа не поставите собі, і каменя з фіґурами не покладете в вашім Краї, щоб кланятися перед ними. Бо Я Господь, Бог ваш!

You shall make for yourselves no idols nor shall you erect a graven image, pillar, or obelisk, nor shall you place any figured stone in your land to which or on which to bow down; for I am the Lord your God.

2 С убіт Моїх будете додержувати, а святиню Мою будете шанувати. Я Господь!

You shall keep My Sabbaths and reverence My sanctuary. I am the Lord.

3 Я кщо будете ходити згідно з постановами Моїми, а заповідей Моїх будете додержувати й будете виконувати їх,

If you walk in My statutes and keep My commandments and do them,

4 т о дам ваші дощі в їхнім часі, і земля дасть свій урожай, а польове дерево дасть плід свій.

I will give you rain in due season, and the land shall yield her increase and the trees of the field yield their fruit.

5 І молочення досягне вам виноградобрання, а виноградобрання досягне сіяння, і ви будете їсти хліб свій досита, і будете сидіти безпечно в вашому Краї.

And your threshing shall reach to the vintage and the vintage shall reach to the sowing time, and you shall eat your bread to the full and dwell in your land securely.

6 І дам мир у Краю, і ви будете лежати, і ніхто не вчинить, щоб ви тремтіли, бо злу звірину винищу з землі, а меч не перейде через Край ваш.

I will give peace in the land; you shall lie down and none shall fill you with dread or make you afraid; and I will clear ferocious (wild) beasts out of the land, and no sword shall go through your land.

7 І ви будете гнати ворогів своїх, а вони попадають перед вами від меча.

And you shall chase your enemies, and they shall fall before you by the sword.

8 І п'ятеро з вас поженуть сотню, а сотня з вас пожене десять тисяч, і попадають вороги ваші перед вами від меча.

Five of you shall chase a hundred, and a hundred of you shall put ten thousand to flight; your enemies shall fall before you by the sword.

9 І обернусь Я до вас, і розплоджу вас, і розмножу вас, і виконаю Свого заповіта з вами.

For I will be leaning toward you with favor and regard for you, rendering you fruitful, multiplying you, and establishing and ratifying My covenant with you.

10 І ви будете їсти старе-перестаріле, і повикидаєте старе перед новим.

And you shall eat the old store of produce long kept, and clear out the old for the new.

11 І поставлю місце перебування Свого серед вас, і душа Моя не обридить вами.

I will set My dwelling in and among you, and My soul shall not despise or reject or separate itself from you.

12 І Я буду ходити серед вас, і буду вам Богом, а ви будете Мені народом.

And I will walk in and with and among you and will be your God, and you shall be My people.

13 Я Господь, Бог ваш, що вивів вас з єгипетського краю, щоб ви не були їм рабами. І Я поламав занози вашого ярма, і вивів вас із піднесеною головою.

I am the Lord your God, Who brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, that you should no more be slaves; and I have broken the bars of your yoke and made you walk erect.

14 А коли ви не будете слухняні Мені, і не виконуватиме всіх тих заповідей,

But if you will not hearken to Me and will not do all these commandments,

15 і якщо постановами Моїми будете погорджувати, і якщо душа ваша бридитиметься законами Моїми, щоб не виконувати всіх заповідей Моїх, щоб ламати вам заповіта Мого,

And if you spurn and despise My statutes, and if your soul despises and rejects My ordinances, so that you will not do all My commandments, but break My covenant,

16 т о й Я зроблю вам оце: поставлю над вами перестрах, сухоти й пропасницю, що винищують очі й обезсилюють душу. І ви надаремно сіятимете насіння своє, бо поїдять його вороги ваші.

I will do this: I will appoint over you terror (trembling, trouble), even consumption and fever that consume and waste the eyes and make the life pine away. You shall sow your seed in vain, for your enemies shall eat it.

17 І зверну Я лице Своє на вас, і ви будете вдарені перед своїми ворогами. І будуть панувати над вами ненависники ваші, і ви будете втікати, хоч ніхто вас не гнатиме.

I will set My face against you and you shall be defeated and slain before your enemies; they who hate you shall rule over you; you shall flee when no one pursues you.

18 А якщо й при тому не будете слухняні Мені, то Я семикратно побільшу кару на вас за ваші гріхи.

And if in spite of all this you still will not listen and be obedient to Me, then I will chastise and discipline you seven times more for your sins.

19 І зломлю пиху вашої сили, і зроблю ваше небо як залізо, а землю вашу як мідь!

And I will break and humble your pride in your power, and I will make your heavens as iron and your earth as brass.

20 І надаремно буде вичерпуватися ваша сила: земля ваша не дасть свого врожаю, а дерево на землі не дасть свого плоду.

And your strength shall be spent in vain, for your land shall not yield its increase, neither shall the trees of the land yield their fruit.

21 А якщо й тоді підете проти Мене, і не схочете бути слухняними Мені, то Я семикратно збільшу над вами удара Свого згідно з вашими гріхами.

If you walk contrary to Me and will not heed Me, I will bring seven times more plagues upon you, according to your sins.

22 І пошлю на вас пільну звірину, а вона винищить вам дітей, і вигубить вашу худобу, і зменшить кількість вашу, і попустошить ваші дороги.

I will loose the wild beasts of the field among you, which shall rob you of your children, destroy your livestock, and make you few so that your roads shall be deserted and desolate.

23 А якщо цими карами не будете навчені, і будете ходити проти Мене,

If by these means you are not turned to Me but determine to walk contrary to Me,

24 т о й Я піду проти вас, і вдарю вас і Я семикратно за ваші гріхи.

I also will walk contrary to you, and I will smite you seven times for your sins.

25 І приведу на вас меча, що помстить пімсту за заповіта, і ви будете зібрані до ваших міст, і Я пошлю моровицю на вас, і ви будете віддані в руку ворога.

And I will bring a sword upon you that shall execute the vengeance of My covenant; and you shall be gathered together within your cities, and I will send the pestilence among you, and you shall be delivered into the hands of the enemy.

26 К оли Я знищу вам хліб, підпору вашу, то десять жінок будуть пекти хліб вам в одній печі, і вернуть хліб ваш вагою, а ви будете їсти і не насититеся.

When I break your staff of bread and cut off your supply of food, ten women shall bake your bread in one oven, and they shall ration your bread and deliver it again by weight; and you shall eat, and not be satisfied.

27 А якщо й тим не станете слухняні Мені, і будете ходити проти Мене,

And if in spite of all this you will not listen and give heed to Me but walk contrary to Me,

28 т о й Я з лютістю піду проти вас, і також Я семикратно покараю вас за ваші гріхи,

Then I will walk contrary to you in wrath, and I also will chastise you seven times for your sins.

29 і ви тіло своїх синів будете їсти, і тіло дочок своїх будете поїдати...

You shall eat the flesh of your sons and of your daughters.

30 І поруйную ваші висоти, і повитинаю ваші стовпи сонця, і поскладаю трупи ваші на трупах божків ваших, і обридить душа Моя вас!

And I will destroy your high places, and cut down your sun-images, and throw your dead bodies upon the bodies of your idols, and My soul shall abhor you.

31 І вчиню міста ваші руїною, і поспустошую ваші святині, і не прийму ваших пахощів любих.

I will lay your cities waste, bring your sanctuaries to desolation, and I will not smell the fragrance of your sweet and soothing odors.

32 І спустошу Я Край той, і будуть дивуватися з того ваші вороги, що мешкають у ньому.

And I will bring the land into desolation, and your enemies who dwell in it shall be astonished at it.

33 А вас порозпорошую поміж народів, і вийму за вами меча, і стане Край ваш спустошенням, а міста ваші будуть руїною...

I will scatter you among the nations and draw out sword after you; and your land shall be desolate and your cities a waste.

34 Т оді земля та надолужить собі за суботні роки по всі дні спустошення її. Коли будете в краї ваших ворогів, тоді ваша земля святкуватиме відпочинок, і надолужить собі за свої суботні роки.

Then shall the land enjoy its sabbaths as long as it lies desolate and you are in your enemies’ land; then shall the land rest, to enjoy and receive payments for its sabbaths.

35 П о всі дні спустошення святкуватиме вона відпочинок, чого не святкувала в суботні роки, коли ви сиділи на ній.

As long as it lies desolate and waste, it shall have rest, the rest it did not have in your sabbaths when you dwelt upon it.

36 А щодо позосталих серед вас, то впроваджу в їхні серця полохливість в краях їхніх ворогів, і буде їх гнати навіть шелест подмухненого вітром листу, і будуть вони втікати, як утікають перед мечем, та й попадають, хоч ніхто не женеться...

As for those who are left of you, I will send dejection (lack of courage, a faintness) into their hearts in the lands of their enemies; the sound of a driven leaf shall put them to hasty and tumultuous flight, and they shall flee as if from the sword, and fall when no one pursues them.

37 І будуть вони спотикатися один об одного, ніби від меча, хоч ніхто не женеться за ними. І ви не зможете стати проти ваших ворогів...

They shall stumble over one another as if to escape a sword when no one pursues them; and you shall have no power to stand before your enemies.

38 І погинете серед поганів, і пожере вас земля ваших ворогів.

You shall perish among the nations; the land of your enemies shall eat you up.

39 А позосталі серед вас помарніють у краях ворогів ваших за гріх свій, а також за гріхи батьків своїх помарніють із ними.

And those of you who are left shall pine away in their iniquity in your enemies’ lands; also in the iniquities of their fathers shall they pine away like them.

40 І визнають вони гріх свій та гріх батьків своїх, що ними спроневірилися були Мені, а також, що ходили проти Мене.

But if they confess their own and their fathers’ iniquity in their treachery which they committed against Me—and also that because they walked contrary to Me

41 Т акож і Я піду проти них, і впроваджу їх до краю їхніх ворогів. Якщо тоді впокориться їхне необрізане серце, то тоді понесуть кару за свої гріхи.

I also walked contrary to them and brought them into the land of their enemies—if then their uncircumcised hearts are humbled and they then accept the punishment for their iniquity,

42 І Я згадаю заповіта Свого з Яковом, а також заповіта Свого з Ісаком, і також заповіта Свого з Авраамом згадаю, і згадаю той Край.

Then will I remember My covenant with Jacob, My covenant with Isaac, and My covenant with Abraham, and remember the land.

43 А Край той буде позбавлений їх, і надолужить собі свої суботні роки, опустілий від них, а вони понесуть кару за свої гріхи, а то для того, що законами Моїми погорджували, а постанови Мої огидила була їхня душа.

But the land shall be left behind them and shall enjoy its sabbaths while it lies desolate without them; and they shall accept the punishment for their sins and make amends because they despised and rejected My ordinances and their soul scorned and rejected My statutes.

44 А проте, коли вони пробували в краю своїх ворогів, то Я не погорджував ними, і не збридив їх, щоб винищити їх, щоб зламати заповіта Свого з ними. Бо Я Господь, Бог їх!

And yet for all that, when they are in the land of their enemies, I will not spurn and cast them away, neither will I despise and abhor them to destroy them utterly and to break My covenant with them, for I am the Lord their God.

45 І Я пам'ятатиму їм заповіта з предками, що Я вивів їх з єгипетського краю на очах поган, щоб бути їм Богом. Я Господь!

But I will for their sake remember the covenant with their forefathers whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt in the sight of the nations, that I might be their God. I am the Lord.

46 О це постанови, і устави та закони, що дав Господь між Собою та між Ізраїлевими синами на Сінайскій горі через Мойсея.

These are the statutes, ordinances, and laws which the Lord made between Him and the Israelites on Mount Sinai through Moses.
