God is our Refuge and Strength, a very present and well-proved help in trouble.

2 ( 46-3) тому не лякаємось ми, як трясеться земля, і коли гори зсуваються в серце морів!

Therefore we will not fear, though the earth should change and though the mountains be shaken into the midst of the seas,

3 ( 46-4) Шумлять і киплять Його води, через велич Його тремтять гори. Села.

Though its waters roar and foam, though the mountains tremble at its swelling and tumult. Selah!

4 ( 46-5) Річка, відноги її веселять місто Боже, найсвятіше із місць пробування Всевишнього.

There is a river whose streams shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the Most High.

5 ( 46-6) Бог серед нього, нехай не хитається, Бог поможе йому, коли ранок настане.

God is in the midst of her, she shall not be moved; God will help her right early.

6 ( 46-7) Шуміли народи, хиталися царства, а Він голос подав Свій і земля розпливлася.

The nations raged, the kingdoms tottered and were moved; He uttered His voice, the earth melted.

7 ( 46-8) З нами Господь Саваот, наша твердиня Бог Яковів. Села.

The Lord of hosts is with us; the God of Jacob is our Refuge (our Fortress and High Tower). Selah!

8 ( 46-9) ідіть, оглядайте Господні діла, які руйнування вчинив на землі!

Come, behold the works of the Lord, Who has wrought desolations and wonders in the earth.

9 ( 46-10) Аж до краю землі припиняє Він війни, ламає Він лука й торощить списа, палить огнем колесниці!

He makes wars to cease to the end of the earth; He breaks the bow into pieces and snaps the spear in two; He burns the chariots in the fire.

10 ( 46-11) Вгамуйтесь та знайте, що Бог Я, піднесусь між народами, піднесусь на землі!

Let be and be still, and know (recognize and understand) that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations! I will be exalted in the earth!

11 ( 46-12) З нами Господь Саваот, наша твердиня Бог Яковів! Села.
