1 E l Señor, el Dios de dioses, ha hablado; de este a oeste ha convocado a la tierra.

The Mighty One, God, the Lord, speaks and calls the earth from the rising of the sun to its setting.

2 D esde Sión, la ciudad bella y perfecta, Dios deja ver su esplendor.

Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty, God shines forth.

3 N uestro Dios viene, pero no en silencio. Un fuego consumidor lo precede; una poderosa tempestad lo rodea.

Our God comes and does not keep silence; a fire devours before Him, and round about Him a mighty tempest rages.

4 C onvoca a los cielos y a la tierra, pues viene a juzgar a su pueblo.

He calls to the heavens above and to the earth, that He may judge His people:

5 « Reúnan a mi pueblo santo, a los que han hecho un pacto conmigo y me han ofrecido un sacrificio.»

Gather together to Me My saints, those who have made a covenant with Me by sacrifice.

6 Y los cielos declaran su justicia; declaran que Dios mismo es el juez.

And the heavens declare His righteousness (rightness and justice), for God, He is judge. Selah!

7 « Escucha, Israel, pueblo mío; voy a hablar y a testificar contra ti. Yo soy Dios. Yo soy tu Dios.

Hear, O My people, and I will speak; O Israel, I will testify to you and against you: I am God, your God.

8 N o voy a reprenderte por tus sacrificios, ni por los holocaustos que siempre me ofreces;

I do not reprove you for your sacrifices; your burnt offerings are continually before Me.

9 n o voy a tomar ningún becerro de tu casa, ni ningún macho cabrío de tus apriscos,

I will accept no bull from your house nor he-goat out of your folds.

10 p ues míos son todos los animales del bosque, ¡los miles de animales que hay en las colinas!

For every beast of the forest is Mine, and the cattle upon a thousand hills or upon the mountains where thousands are.

11 M ías son todas las aves de los montes; mío es todo lo que se mueve en los campos.

I know and am acquainted with all the birds of the mountains, and the wild animals of the field are Mine and are with Me, in My mind.

12 » Si yo tuviera hambre, no te lo diría, pues el mundo y su plenitud me pertenecen.

If I were hungry, I would not tell you, for the world and its fullness are Mine.

13 ¿ Acaso me alimento con carne de toros, o bebo sangre de machos cabríos?

Shall I eat the flesh of bulls or drink the blood of goats?

14 Y o soy el Dios Altísimo; en vez de sacrificios, ofréceme alabanzas y cúmpleme todos los votos que me hagas.

Offer to God the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and pay your vows to the Most High,

15 I nvócame en el día de la angustia; yo te libraré, y tú me honrarás.»

And call on Me in the day of trouble; I will deliver you, and you shall honor and glorify Me.

16 P ero al malvado Dios le dice: «¿Qué tienes tú que ver con mis leyes? ¿Por qué te atreves a hablar de mi pacto?

But to the wicked, God says: What right have you to recite My statutes or take My covenant or pledge on your lips,

17 ¡ Si tú aborreces la corrección, y echas en saco roto mis palabras!

Seeing that you hate instruction and correction and cast My words behind you ?

18 S i ves un ladrón, corres a su encuentro; ¡eres gran amigo de los adúlteros!

When you see a thief, you associate with him, and you have taken part with adulterers.

19 P ara el mal, no mides tus palabras; con tu lengua urdes toda clase de engaños.

You give your mouth to evil, and your tongue frames deceit.

20 E n los tribunales, hablas contra tu hermano; contra tu propio hermano profieres infamias.

You sit and speak against your brother; you slander your own mother’s son.

21 T odo esto has hecho, y yo me he callado; habrás pensado que yo soy como tú. Pero ahora voy a reprenderte; voy a exhibir todas tus maldades.

These things you have done and I kept silent; you thought I was once entirely like you. But I will reprove you and put in order before your eyes.

22 » Ustedes, los que se olvidan de mí, entiendan bien esto; no vaya a ser que los despedace y no haya quien los libre de mí.

Now consider this, you who forget God, lest I tear you in pieces, and there be none to deliver.

23 E l que me ofrece alabanzas, me honra; al que enmiende su camino, yo lo salvaré.»

He who brings an offering of praise and thanksgiving honors and glorifies Me; and he who orders his way aright, to him I will demonstrate the salvation of God.
