1 A labaré tu misericordia y tu justicia; cantaré, Señor, salmos a tu nombre.

I will sing of mercy and loving-kindness and justice; to You, O Lord, will I sing.

2 Q uiero entender tus perfectas enseñanzas. ¿Cuándo vendrás a mi encuentro? Así me conduciré con rectitud en mi hogar,

I will behave myself wisely and give heed to the blameless way—O when will You come to me? I will walk within my house in integrity and with a blameless heart.

3 y no pondré los ojos en la injusticia. Odio a los que actúan de manera torcida; no permito que ninguno de ellos se acerque a mí.

I will set no base or wicked thing before my eyes. I hate the work of them who turn aside; it shall not grasp hold of me.

4 M antengo alejados a los de intenciones perversas; no tengo nada que ver con los malvados.

A perverse heart shall depart from me; I will know no evil person or thing.

5 D estruiré al que con malicia deshonre a su prójimo; no toleraré a los de mirada altanera y vanidosa.

Whoso privily slanders his neighbor, him will I cut off; he who has a haughty look and a proud and arrogant heart I cannot and I will not tolerate.

6 M e fijaré en los que son fieles, y conmigo vivirán; sólo me servirán los que vayan por el buen camino.

My eyes shall upon the faithful of the land, that they may dwell with me; he who walks blamelessly, he shall minister to me.

7 N o habitará en mi casa quien cometa fraudes, ni se presentará ante mí ningún mentiroso.

He who works deceit shall not dwell in my house; he who tells lies shall not continue in my presence.

8 P or las mañanas borraré del país a todos los impíos, y expulsaré de la ciudad del Señor a todos los malvados.

Morning after morning I will root up all the wicked in the land, that I may eliminate all the evildoers from the city of the Lord.
