1 E n cuanto a la ofrenda para los santos, hagan lo que les ordené a las iglesias de Galacia.

Now concerning the money contributed for the saints (God’s people): you are to do the same as I directed the churches of Galatia to do.

2 C ada primer día de la semana, cada uno de ustedes ponga algo aparte, según lo que haya ganado, y guárdelo, para que no se tengan que recoger las ofrendas cuando yo esté allá.

On the first of each week, let each one of you put aside something and save it up as he has prospered, so that no collections will need to be taken after I come.

3 Y cuando llegue, enviaré a aquellos que ustedes hayan designado por carta, para que lleven la ofrenda de ustedes a Jerusalén.

And when I arrive, I will send on those whom you approve and authorize with credentials to carry your gift to Jerusalem.

4 S i acaso es conveniente que yo también vaya, ellos irán conmigo. Planes de Pablo

If it seems worthwhile that I should go too, they will accompany me.

5 T engo que pasar por Macedonia. Así que luego de pasar por allí iré a visitarlos

After passing through Macedonia, I will visit you, for I intend to pass through Macedonia;

6 y tal vez me quede algún tiempo con ustedes, o pase allí el invierno, para que me ayuden a seguir mi camino, cualquiera que éste sea.

But it may be that I will stay with you, perhaps even spend the winter, so that you may bring me forward to wherever I may go.

7 P orque esta vez no quiero verlos solamente de paso, sino que espero quedarme con ustedes por algún tiempo, si el Señor así lo permite.

For I am unwilling to see you right now in passing, but I hope later to remain for some time with you, if the Lord permits.

8 P ero me quedaré en Éfeso hasta Pentecostés;

I will remain in Ephesus until Pentecost,

9 p orque, aunque hay muchos que están en contra de mí, se me ha presentado una gran oportunidad para el trabajo.

For a wide door of opportunity for effectual has opened to me, and many adversaries.

10 S i llega Timoteo, asegúrense de que se sienta cómodo entre ustedes, porque él hace la obra del Señor lo mismo que yo.

When Timothy arrives, see to it that he may be fearless among you, for he is doing the Lord’s work, just as I am.

11 P or tanto, que nadie lo menosprecie; al contrario, ayúdenlo a seguir su camino en paz, para que se reúna conmigo, pues estoy esperándolo junto con los hermanos.

So no one despises him or treats him as if he were of no account or slights him. But send him off in peace, that he may come to me, for I am expecting him with the other brethren.

12 E n cuanto al hermano Apolos, le insistí mucho que fuera a visitarlos junto con otros hermanos, pero esta vez no hubo manera de convencerlo; sin embargo, lo hará cuando tenga oportunidad. Salutaciones finales

As for our brother Apollos, I have urgently encouraged him to visit you with the other brethren, but it was not at all his will or God’s will that he should go now. He will come when he has opportunity.

13 M anténganse atentos y firmes en la fe; sean fuertes y valientes.

Be alert and on your guard; stand firm in your faith ( your conviction respecting man’s relationship to God and divine things, keeping the trust and holy fervor born of faith and a part of it). Act like men and be courageous; grow in strength!

14 H áganlo todo con amor.

Let everything you do be done in love (true love to God and man as inspired by God’s love for us).

15 H ermanos, ustedes ya saben que la familia de Estéfanas fue el primer fruto de Acaya, y que ellos se han dedicado a servir a los santos.

Now, brethren, you know that the household of Stephanas were the first converts and our firstfruits in Achaia (most of Greece), and how they have consecrated and devoted themselves to the service of the saints (God’s people).

16 L es ruego que se sometan a personas como ellos, y a todos los que ayudan y trabajan.

I urge you to pay all deference to such leaders and to enlist under them and be subject to them, as well as to everyone who joins and cooperates and labors earnestly.

17 M e alegré mucho de que hayan venido Estéfanas, Fortunato y Acaico, pues ellos han suplido la ausencia de ustedes,

I am happy because Stephanas and Fortunatus and Achaicus have come, for they have made up for your absence.

18 y a que han fortalecido mi espíritu y el de ustedes. Lleven en cuenta a personas como ellos.

For they gave me respite from labor and rested me and refreshed my spirit as well as yours. Deeply appreciate and thoroughly know and fully recognize such men.

19 R eciban los saludos de las iglesias de Asia. También de Aquila y Priscila, y de la iglesia que está en su casa, los cuales les envían muchos saludos en el Señor.

The churches of Asia send greetings and best wishes. Aquila and Prisca, together with the church in their house, send you their hearty greetings in the Lord.

20 R eciban saludos de todos los hermanos; y ustedes, salúdense unos a los otros con un beso santo.

All the brethren wish to be remembered to you and wish you well. Greet one another with a holy kiss.

22 S i alguno no ama al Señor, quede bajo maldición. ¡El Señor viene!

If anyone does not love the Lord, he shall be accursed! Our Lord will come! (Maranatha!)

The grace (favor and spiritual blessing) of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you.
