1 V uelve, oh Israel, a Jehová tu Dios; porque es tu pecado el que te ha hecho tropezar.

O Israel, return to the Lord your God, for you have stumbled and fallen, due to your iniquity.

2 L levad con vosotros palabras de súplica, y volved a Jehová, y decidle: Quita toda iniquidad, y acepta lo que es bueno, y te ofreceremos en vez de terneros la ofrenda de nuestros labios.

Take with you words and return to the Lord. Say to Him, Take away all our iniquity; accept what is good and receive us graciously; so will we render as bullocks and pay the confession of our lips.

3 N o nos salvará el asirio; no montaremos en caballos, ni nunca más diremos a la obra de nuestras manos: Dioses nuestros; porque en ti halla compasión el huérfano.

Assyria shall not save us; we will not ride upon horses, neither will we say any more to the work of our hands, You are our gods. For in You the fatherless find love, pity, and mercy.

4 Y o sanaré su apostasía, los amaré de buen grado; porque mi ira se apartó de ellos.

I will heal their faithlessness; I will love them freely, for My anger is turned away from.

5 Y o seré a Israel como rocío; él florecerá como lirio, y extenderá sus raíces como el Líbano.

I will be like the dew and the night mist to Israel; he shall grow and blossom like the lily and cast forth his roots like Lebanon.

6 S e extenderán sus ramas, y será su belleza como la del olivo, y su fragancia como el Líbano.

His suckers and shoots shall spread, and his beauty shall be like the olive tree and his fragrance like Lebanon.

7 L os que habitan a su sombra, volverán a hacer crecer el trigo, y florecerán como la vid; su aroma será como de vino del Líbano.

They that dwell under his shade shall return; they shall revive like the grain and blossom like the vine; the scent of it shall be like the wine of Lebanon.

8 E fraín dirá: ¿Qué más tendré ya que ver con los ídolos? Yo le atenderé, y miraré por él; yo soy como un ciprés frondoso; de mí será hallado tu fruto.

Ephraim shall say, What have I to do any more with idols? I have answered and will regard and watch over him; I am like a green fir or cypress tree; with Me is the fruit found.

9 E l que sea sabio, comprenda estas cosas, el que es prudente las entienda. Porque los caminos de Jehová son rectos, y los justos andarán por ellos; mas los transgresores tropezarán en ellos.

Who is wise, that he may understand these things? Prudent, that he may know them? For the ways of the Lord are right and the just shall walk in them, but transgressors shall stumble and fall in them.
