1 H ỡi anh em, vì bằng có người nào tình cờ phạm lỗi gì, anh em là kẻ có Đức Chúa Trời, hãy lấy lòng mềm mại mà sửa họ lại; chính mình anh em lại phải giữ, e cũng bị dỗ dành chẳng.

Brethren, if any person is overtaken in misconduct or sin of any sort, you who are spiritual should set him right and restore and reinstate him, without any sense of superiority and with all gentleness, keeping an attentive eye on yourself, lest you should be tempted also.

2 H ãy mang lấy gánh nặng cho nhau, như vậy anh em sẽ làm trọn luật pháp của Đấng Christ.

Bear (endure, carry) one another’s burdens and troublesome moral faults, and in this way fulfill and observe perfectly the law of Christ (the Messiah) and complete what is lacking.

3 V ì, nếu có ai, dầu mình không ra chi hết, mà cũng tưởng mình ra chi ấy là mình dối lấy mình.

For if any person thinks himself to be somebody when he is nobody, he deceives and deludes and cheats himself.

4 M ỗi người phải thử xét việc làm của mình, thì sự khoe mình chỉ tại mình thôi, chớ chẳng phải tại kẻ khác.

But let every person carefully scrutinize and examine and test his own conduct and his own work. He can then have the personal satisfaction and joy of doing something commendable '> in itself alone] without boastful comparison with his neighbor.

5 V ì ai sẽ gánh lấy riêng phần nấy.

For every person will have to bear ( be equal to understanding and calmly receive) his own '> little] load.

6 K ẻ nào mà người ta dạy đạo cho, phải lấy trong hết thảy của cải mình mà chia cho người dạy đó.

Let him who receives instruction in the Word share all good things with his teacher.

7 C hớ hề dối mình; Đức Chúa Trời không chịu khinh dể đâu; vì ai gieo giống chi, lại gặt giống ấy.

Do not be deceived and deluded and misled; God will not allow Himself to be sneered at (scorned, disdained, or mocked by mere pretensions or professions, or by His precepts being set aside.) For whatever a man sows, that and that only is what he will reap.

8 K ẻ gieo cho xác thịt, sẽ bởi xác thịt mà gặt sự hư nát; song kẻ gieo cho Thánh Linh, sẽ bởi Thánh Linh mà gặt sự sống đời đời.

For he who sows to his own flesh (lower nature, sensuality) will from the flesh reap decay and ruin and destruction, but he who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.

9 C hớ mệt nhọc về sự làm lành, vì nếu chúng ta không trễ nải, thì đến kỳ chúng ta sẽ gặt.

And let us not lose heart and grow weary and faint in acting nobly and doing right, for in due time and at the appointed season we shall reap, if we do not loosen and relax our courage and faint.

10 V ậy, đương lúc có dịp tiện, hãy làm điều thiện cho mọi người, nhứt là cho anh em chúng ta trong đức tin.

So then, as occasion and opportunity open up to us, let us do good '> morally] to all people '> being useful or profitable to them, but also doing what is for their spiritual good and advantage]. Be mindful to be a blessing, especially to those of the household of faith.

11 H ãy xem chính tay tôi viết thơ nầy cho anh em, chữ lớn là dường nào.

See with what large letters I am writing with my own hand. '> Mark carefully these closing words of mine.]

12 H ết thảy những kẻ muốn cho mình đẹp lòng người theo phần xác, ép anh em chịu cắt bì, hầu cho họ khỏi vì thập tự giá của Đấng Christ mà bị bắt bớ đó thôi.

Those who want to make a good impression and a fine show in the flesh would try to compel you to receive circumcision, simply so that they may escape being persecuted for allegiance to the cross of Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One).

13 V ì chính những kẻ đó đã chịu cắt bì, không vâng giữ luật pháp đâu, nhưng họ muốn anh em chịu cắt bì, hầu để khoe mình trong phần xác của anh em.

For even the circumcised themselves do not keep the Law, but they want to have you circumcised in order that they may glory in your flesh (your subjection to external rites).

14 C òn như tôi, tôi hẳn chẳng khoe mình, trừ ra khoe về thập tự giá của Đức Chúa Jêsus Christ chúng ta, bởi thập tự giá ấy, thế gian đối với tôi đã bị đóng đinh, và tôi đối với thế gian cũng vậy!

But far be it from me to glory except in the cross of our Lord Jesus Christ (the Messiah) through Whom the world has been crucified to me, and I to the world!

15 V ì điều yếu cần, chẳng phải sự chịu cắt bì, hay là sự chẳng chịu cắt bì, bèn là trở nên người mới.

For neither is circumcision of any importance, nor uncircumcision, but a new creation.

16 N guyền xin sự bình an và sự thương xót giáng trên hết thảy những kẻ noi theo mẫu mực nầy, lại giáng trên dân Y-sơ-ra-ên của Đức Chúa Trời nữa!

Peace and mercy be upon all who walk by this rule, even upon the Israel of God!

17 Ư ớc gì từ nay về sau, chẳng ai làm khó cho tôi, vì trong mình tôi có đốt dấu vết của Đức Chúa Jêsus vậy.

From now on let no person trouble me '> making it necessary for me to vindicate my apostolic authority and the divine truth of my Gospel], for I bear on my body the marks of the Lord Jesus!

18 H ỡi anh em, nguyền xin ân điển của Đức Chúa Jêsus Christ chúng ta ở với tâm thần anh em! A-men.

The grace (spiritual favor, blessing) of our Lord Jesus Christ (the Anointed One, the Messiah) be with your spirit, brethren. Amen (so be it).
