1 H ỡi Y-sơ-ra-ên, chớ vui mừng; chớ nức lòng mừng rỡ như các dân; vì ngươi đã phạm tội tà dâm và cách xa Đức Chúa Trời ngươi. ngươi đã ưa thích tiền công mình trên mọi sân đạp lúa

Rejoice not, O Israel, with exultation as do the peoples, for you have played the harlot, forsaking your God. You have loved hire upon every threshing floor.

2 H oặc sân đạp lúa, hoặc hầm ép rượu, cũng được chẳng nuôi chúng nó; rượu mới sẽ thiếu thốn cho nó.

The threshing floor and the winevat shall not feed them, and the new wine shall fail them.

3 C húng nó sẽ không ở trong đất của Đức Giê-hô-va nữa; nhưng E

They shall not remain in the Lord’s land, but Ephraim shall return to Egypt and they shall eat unclean food in Assyria.

4 C húng nó sẽ không làm lễ quán bằng rượu cho Đức Giê-hô-va nữa, và các của lễ chúng nó cũng sẽ chẳng đẹp lòng Ngài; song sẽ như bánh kẻ có tang: hễ ai ăn đến thì bị ô uế; vì bánh chúng nó sẽ đỡ đói cho chúng nó, chẳng được vào nhà Đức Giê-hô-va.

They shall not pour out wine offerings to the Lord, neither shall they be pleasing to Him. Their sacrifices shall be to them as the bread of mourners; all who eat of them shall be defiled, for their bread shall be for their appetite; it shall not come into the house of the Lord.

5 C ác ngươi sẽ làm gì trong ngày lễ trọng thể, trong ngày lễ của Đức Giê-hô-va?

What will you do on the day of the appointed solemn assembly or festival and on the day of the feast of the Lord ?

6 T hật, nầy, chúng nó đã đi trốn khỏi tai họa. Ê-díp-tô sẽ liệm chúng nó, Mem-phi sẽ chôn chúng nó. Những đồ bằng bạc rất quí của chúng nó sẽ trở nên mồi của chà-chuôm; gai gốc sẽ loán nơi nhà tạm chúng nó.

For behold, they are gone away from devastation and destruction; Egypt shall gather them in; Memphis shall bury them. Their precious things of silver shall be in the possession of nettles; thorns shall be in their tents.

7 N hững ngày thăm phạt đã đến rồi! Những ngày báo trả đã tới rồi! Y-sơ-ra-ên sẽ biết. Kẻ tiên tri là dư dật, người được cảm động bởi thần linh là điên cuồng, vì sự gian ác dư dật của ngươi, và sự hờn ghét lớn lắm.

The days of visitation and punishment have come; the days of recompense have come; Israel shall know it. The prophet is a crazed fool and the man who is inspired is mad or a fanatic, because of the abundance of your iniquity and because the enmity, hostility, and persecution are great.

8 E

Ephraim was a watchman with my God; but he, that prophet, has become a fowler’s snare in all his ways. There is enmity, hostility, and persecution in the house of his God.

9 C húng nó bại hoại rất sâu như đương những ngày Ghi-bê -a. Đức Chúa Trời sẽ nhớ lại sự gian ác chúng nó, sẽ thăm phạt tội lỗi chúng nó.

They have deeply corrupted themselves as in the days of Gibeah. The Lord will remember their iniquity; He will punish their sins.

10 T a đã gặp Y-sơ-ra-ên, như gặp trái nho trong đồng vắng; ta đã thấy tổ phụ các ngươi như trái chín đầu trên cây vả tơ. Nhưng chúng nó đã vào nơi Ba-anh-Phê-rô; dâng mình cho vật xấu hổ, và cũng trở nên gớm ghiếc như vật chúng nó đã yêu.

I found Israel like grapes in the wilderness; I saw your fathers as the first ripe fruit on the fig tree in its first season, but they went to Baal-peor and consecrated themselves to that shameful thing, and they became detestable and loathsome like that which they loved.

11 S ự vinh hiển của E

As for Ephraim, their glory shall fly away like a bird; there shall be no birth, no being with child, and no becoming pregnant.

12 V ì dầu chúng nó được nuôi con cái, ta cũng cất lấy đi, đến nỗi không một người nam nào còn lại. Thật, khi ta lìa bỏ chúng nó, thì kinh niên thay cho chúng nó!

Though they bring up their children, yet will I bereave them so that not a man shall be left; yes, woe also to them when I look away and depart from them!

13 E

Ephraim, as I have seen with Tyre, is planted in a pleasant place, but Ephraim shall bring out his children to the slayer.

14 H ỡi Đức Giê-hô-va, xin hãy ban cho chúng nó. Ngài sẽ cho chúng nó cái gì? Hãy cho chúng nó cái dạ sút sảo vào vú khô khan!

Give them, O Lord! what will You give? Give them a miscarrying womb and dry breasts.

15 C ả sự hung ác chúng nó đều ở Ghinh-ganh; ấy tại đó mà ta ghét chúng nó. Vì cớ những việc ác chúng nó, ta sẽ đuổi chúng nó khỏi nhà ta; ta sẽ chẳng thương yêu chúng nó nữa. Hết thảy quan trưởng chúng nó là kẻ bạn nghịch.

All their wickedness is focused in Gilgal, for there I hated them; for the wickedness of their doings I will drive them out of My house; I will love them no more; all their princes are rebels.

16 E

Ephraim is smitten, their root is dried up, they shall bear no fruit. Yes, though they bring forth, yet will I slay even their beloved children.

17 Đ ức Chúa Trời ta sẽ bỏ chúng nó, vì chúng nó không nghe Ngài; và chúng nó sẽ đi dông dài trong các nước.

My God will cast them away because they did not listen to and obey Him, and they shall be wanderers and fugitives among the nations.
