1 K ẻ ngu dại nói trong lòng rằng: chẳng có Đức Chúa Trời. Chúng nó đều bại hoại, đã làm những việc gớm ghiếc; Chẳng có ai làm đều lành.

The fool has said in his heart, There is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable deeds; there is none that does good or right.

2 Đ ức Giê-hô-va từ trên trời ngó xuống các con loài người, Đặng xem thử có ai khôn ngoan, Tìm kiếm Đức Chúa Trời chăng.

The Lord looked down from heaven upon the children of men to see if there were any who understood, dealt wisely, and sought after God, inquiring for and of Him and requiring Him.

3 C húng nó thay thảy đều bội nghịch, cùng nhau trở nên ô uế; chẳng có ai làm điều lành, Dầu một người cũng không.

They are all gone aside, they have all together become filthy; there is none that does good or right, no, not one.

4 C ác kẻ làm ác há chẳng hiểu biết sao? Chúng nó ăn nuốt dân ta khác nào ăn bánh, và cũng chẳng kề cầu khẩn Đức Giê-hô-va.

Have all the workers of iniquity no knowledge, who eat up my people as they eat bread and who do not call on the Lord?

5 C húng nó bị cơn kinh khiếp áp bắt, Vì Đức Chúa Trời ở giữa dòng dõi kẻ công bình.

There they shall be in great fear, for God is with the generation of the righteous (those upright and in right standing with Him).

6 C ác ngươi làm bại mưu kẻ khốn cùng, Bởi vì Đức Giê-hô-va là nơi nương náu của người.

You would put to shame and confound the plans of the poor and patient, but the Lord is his safe refuge.

Oh, that the salvation of Israel would come out of Zion! When the Lord shall restore the fortunes of His people, then Jacob shall rejoice and Israel shall be glad.
