1 T a lại ngước mắt lên và nhìn xem; kìa, một người cầm dây đo trong tay.

And I lifted up my eyes and saw, and behold, a man with a measuring line in his hand.

2 T a bèn nói cùng người rằng: O

Then said I, Where are you going? And he said to me, To measure Jerusalem, to see what is its breadth and what is its length.

3 N ầy, thiên sứ đương nói cùng ta bèn đi ra, và một thiên sứ khác đi ra đón người,

And behold, the angel who talked with me went forth and another angel went out to meet him,

4 v à bảo người rằng: Hãy chạy nói cùng người trai trẻ đó rằng: Giê-ru-sa-lem sẽ có dân cư và như làng không có tường thành, vì cớ rất đông người và súc vật ở giữa nó.

And he said to the second angel, Run, speak to this young man, saying, Jerusalem shall be inhabited and dwell as villages without walls, because of the multitude of people and livestock in it.

5 V ì ta, Đức Giê-hô-va phán: Ta sẽ làm tường bằng lửa chung quanh nó, và sẽ làm sự vinh hiển ở giữa nó.

For I, says the Lord, will be to her a wall of fire round about, and I will be the glory in the midst of her.

6 Đ ức Giê-hô-va phán: Hè hè! các ngươi khá trốn, khá trốn khỏi đất phương bắc; vì ta đã làm cho các ngươi tan tác như bốn gió của trời, Đức Giê-hô-va phán vậy.

Ho! ho! flee from the land of the north, says the Lord, and from the four winds of the heavens, for to them have I scattered you, says the Lord.

7 H ỡi Si-ôn ở với con gái Ba-by-lôn, hè, ngươi khá trốn đi.

Ho! Escape to Zion, you who dwell with the daughter of Babylon!

8 V ì Đức Giê-hô-va vạn quân phán rằng: Sau sự vinh hiển, rồi Ngài sai ta đến cùng các nước cướp bóc các ngươi; vì ai đụng đến các ngươi tức là đụng đến con ngươi mắt Ngài.

For thus said the Lord of hosts, after glory had sent me to the nations who plundered you—for he who touches you touches the apple or pupil of His eye:

9 V ì nầy, ta sẽ vảy tay lên trên chúng nó, chúng nó sẽ làm mồi cho tôi tớ mình; và các ngươi sẽ biết rằng Đức Giê-hô-va vạn quân đã sai ta đến.

Behold, I will swing my hand over them and they shall become plunder for those who served them. Then you shall know (recognize and understand) that the Lord of hosts has sent me.

10 H ỡi con gái Si-ôn, hãy hát mừng và vui vẻ; vì nầy, ta đến, và ta sẽ ở giữa ngươi, Đức Giê-hô-va phán vậy.

Sing and rejoice, O Daughter of Zion; for behold, I come, and I will dwell in the midst of you, says the Lord.

11 T rong ngày đó, nhiều nước sẽ quy phục Đức Giê-hô-va, và trở nên dân ta; ta sẽ ở giữa ngươi, ngươi sẽ biết rằng Đức Giê-hô-va vạn quân đã sai ta đến cùng ngươi.

And many nations shall join themselves to the Lord in that day and shall be My people. And I will dwell in the midst of you, and you shall know (recognize and understand) that the Lord of hosts has sent me to you.

12 Đ ức Giê-hô-va sẽ được Giu-đa làm phần sản nghiệp Ngài trong đất thánh, và Ngài sẽ còn kén chọn Giê-ru-sa-lem.

And the Lord shall inherit Judah as His portion in the holy land and shall again choose Jerusalem.

13 M ọi xác thịt khá nín lặng trước mặt Đức Giê-hô-va; vì Ngài đã thức dậy từ nơi ngự thánh của Ngài.

Be still, all flesh, before the Lord, for He is aroused and risen from His holy habitation.
