1 N ầy, đầy tớ ta đây, là kẻ ta nâng đỡ; là kẻ ta chọn lựa, là kẻ mà linh hồn ta lấy làm đẹp lòng. Ta đã đặt Thần ta trên người, người sẽ tỏ ra sự công bình cho các dân ngoại.

Behold my Servant, Whom I uphold, My elect in Whom My soul delights! I have put My Spirit upon Him; He will bring forth justice and right and reveal truth to the nations.

2 N gười sẽ chẳng kêu la, chẳng lên tiếng, chẳng để ngoài đường phố nghe tiếng mình.

He will not cry or shout aloud or cause His voice to be heard in the street.

3 N gười sẽ chẳng bẻ cây sậy đã giập, và chẳng dụt tim đèn còn hơi cháy. Người sẽ lấy lẽ thật mà tỏ ra sự công bình.

A bruised reed He will not break, and a dimly burning wick He will not quench; He will bring forth justice in truth.

4 N gười chẳng mòn mỏi, chẳng ngã lòng, cho đến chừng nào lập xong sự công bình trên đất; các cù lao sẽ trông đợi luật pháp người.

He will not fail or become weak or be crushed and discouraged till He has established justice in the earth; and the islands and coastal regions shall wait hopefully for Him and expect His direction and law.

5 G iê-hô-va Đức Chúa Trời, là Đấng đã dựng nên các từng trời và giương ra, đã trải đất với mọi sự ra bởi nó, đã ban hơi sống cho dân ở trên nó, và thần linh cho mọi loài đi trên nó, có phán như vầy:

Thus says God the Lord—He Who created the heavens and stretched them forth, He Who spread abroad the earth and that which comes out of it, He Who gives breath to the people on it and spirit to those who walk in it:

6 T a, Đức Giê-hô-va, đã kêu gọi ngươi trong sự công bình; ta sẽ nắm tay ngươi và giữ lấy ngươi. Ta sẽ phó ngươi làm giao ước của dân nầy, làm sự sáng cho các dân ngoại,

I the Lord have called You for a righteous purpose and in righteousness; I will take You by the hand and will keep You; I will give You for a covenant to the people, for a light to the nations,

7 đ ể mở mắt kẻ mù, làm cho kẻ tù ra khỏi khám, kẻ ngồi trong tối tăm ra khỏi ngục.

To open the eyes of the blind, to bring out prisoners from the dungeon, and those who sit in darkness from the prison.

8 T a là Đức Giê-hô-va; ấy là danh ta. Ta chẳng nhường sự vinh hiển ta cho một đấng nào khác, cũng không nhường sự tôn trọng ta cho những tượng chạm!

I am the Lord; that is My name! And My glory I will not give to another, nor My praise to graven images.

9 N ầy, những sự đầu tiên đã ứng nghiệm rồi, nay ta lại rao cho các ngươi sự mới; ta làm cho các ngươi biết trước khi nó nổ ra.

Behold, the former things have come to pass, and new things I now declare; before they spring forth I tell you of them.

10 C ác ngươi là kẻ đi biển cùng mọi vật ở trong biển, các cù lao cùng dân cư nó, hãy hát bài ca tụng mới cho Đức Giê-hô-va, hãy từ nơi đầu cùng đất ngợi khen Ngài!

Sing to the Lord a new song, and His praise from the end of the earth! You who go down to the sea, and all that is in it, the islands and coastal regions and the inhabitants of them!

11 Đ ồng vắng cùng các thành nó hãy cất tiếng lên; các làng Kê-đa ở cũng vậy; dân cư Sê-la hãy hát, hãy kêu lên từ trên chót núi!

Let the wilderness and its cities lift up their voices, the villages that Kedar inhabits. Let the inhabitants of the rock sing; let them shout from the tops of the mountains!

12 H ãy dâng vinh hiển cho Đức Giê-hô-va, và rao sự ngợi khen Chúa trong các cù lao!

Let them give glory to the Lord and declare His praise in the islands and coastal regions.

13 Đ ức Giê-hô-va sẽ ra như người mạnh dạn; giục lòng sốt sắng như người lính chiến; kêu la quát tháo; ra sức cự lại kẻ thù nghịch mình.

The Lord will go forth like a mighty man, He will rouse up His zealous indignation and vengeance like a warrior; He will cry, yes, He will shout aloud, He will do mightily against His enemies.

14 T a làm thinh đã lâu; ta đã nín lặng, ta đã cầm mình. Nhưng bây giờ, ta rên la, thở hào hễn, như đờn bà sanh đẻ.

I have for a long time held My peace, I have been still and restrained Myself. Now I will cry out like a woman in travail, I will gasp and pant together.

15 T a sắp phá hoang núi và đồi, làm cho cỏ cây khô héo; biến sông thành cù lao, làm cho hồ ao cạn tắt.

I will lay waste the mountains and hills and dry up all their herbage; I will turn the rivers into islands, and I will dry up the pools.

16 T a sẽ khiến kẻ mù đi trên con đường mình không thuộc, dắt họ bởi các nẻo chẳng quen; ta sẽ đổi bóng tối trước mặt họ ra ánh sáng, nơi cong quẹo ra ngay thẳng. Thật, ta sẽ làm các sự đó, và không lìa bỏ chúng nó đâu.

And I will bring the blind by a way that they know not; I will lead them in paths that they have not known. I will make darkness into light before them and make uneven places into a plain. These things I have determined to do; and I will not leave them forsaken.

17 S ong những kẻ cậy các tượng chạm, xưng các tượng đúc rằng: Các ngài là thần chúng tôi, thì sẽ đều giựt lùi và mang xấu hổ!

They shall be turned back, they shall be utterly put to shame, who trust in graven images, who say to molten images, You are our gods.

18 H ỡi những kẻ điếc, hãy nghe; còn các ngươi là kẻ mù, hãy mở mắt và thấy!

Hear, you deaf! And look, you blind, that you may see!

19 A i là mù, há chẳng phải đầy tớ ta sao? Ai là điếc như sứ giả mà ta đã sai đi? Ai là mù như kẻ đã hòa thuận cùng ta! Ai là mù như đầy tớ của Đức Giê-hô-va?

Who is blind but My servant ? Or deaf like My messenger whom I send? Who is blind like the one who is at peace with Me ? Yes, who is blind like the Lord’s servant?

20 N gươi thấy nhiều sự, mà không giữ chi hết; ngươi vận có lỗ tai ngỏ, mà không nghe chi hết.

You have seen many things, but you do not observe or apprehend their true meaning. His ears are open, but he hears not!

21 Đ ức Giê-hô-va vui lòng vì sự công bình mình, làm cho luật pháp cả sáng và tôn trọng.

It was the Lord’s pleasure for His righteousness’ sake to magnify instruction and revelation and glorify them.

22 N hưng ấy là một dân bị cướp bị giựt: hết thảy đều bị mắc lưới trong hang và giam trong ngục; chúng nó làm của cướp mà chẳng ai giải cứu; làm mồi mà chẳng ai nói rằng: Hãy trả lại!

But this is a people robbed and plundered; they are all of them snared in holes and hidden in houses of bondage. They have become a prey, with no one to deliver them, a spoil, with no one to say, Restore them!

23 T rong vòng các ngươi ai là kẻ lắng tai nghe điều nầy, ai để ý đến và nghe sự xảy có về sau?

Who is there among you who will give ear to this? Who will listen and hear in the time to come?

24 A i đã phó Gia-cốp cho sự cướp bóc, và Y-sơ-ra-ên cho quân trộm cướp? Há chẳng phải Đức Giê-hô-va, là Đấng mà chúng ta phạm tội nghịch cùng, đường lối Ngài chúng nó chẳng noi theo, luật pháp Ngài chúng nó chẳng vâng giữ?

Who gave up Jacob for spoil, and Israel to the robbers? Was it not the Lord, He against Whom we have sinned and in Whose ways they would not walk, neither were they obedient to His law or His teaching?

25 C ho nên Chúa đã trút cơn thạnh nộ và sự chiến tranh dữ dội trên nó; lửa đốt tứ bề mà nó không biết; lửa thiêu cháy nó, mà cũng chẳng lấy làm lo.

Therefore He poured out upon the fierceness of His anger and the strength of battle. And it set him on fire round about, yet he knew not; it burned him, but he did not lay it to heart.
