1 E ntonces vino a mí la palabra del Señor:

The word of the Lord also came to me, saying,

2 “ Hijo de hombre, tú habitas en medio de la casa rebelde; tienen ojos para ver y no ven, oídos para oír y no oyen, porque son una casa rebelde.

Son of man, you dwell in the midst of the house of the rebellious, who have eyes to see and see not, who have ears to hear and hear not, for they are a rebellious house.

3 Y tú, hijo de hombre, prepárate el equipaje del destierro y sal al destierro de día, ante sus ojos; sal al destierro desde tu lugar a otro lugar, ante sus ojos. Quizá entiendan, aunque son una casa rebelde.

Therefore, son of man, prepare your belongings for removing and going into exile, and move out by day in their sight; and you shall remove from your place to another place in their sight. It may be they will consider and perceive that they are a rebellious house.

4 S aca tu equipaje como equipaje del destierro, de día, ante sus ojos. Entonces sal tú por la tarde, ante sus ojos, como los que salen al destierro.

And you shall bring forth your baggage by day in their sight, as baggage for removing into exile; and you shall go forth yourself at evening in their sight, as those who go forth into exile.

5 A nte sus ojos haz un hueco en el muro y sal por él.

Dig through the wall in their sight and carry the stuff out through the hole.

6 A nte sus ojos carga el equipaje sobre los hombros y sáca lo en la oscuridad. Cúbrete el rostro para no ver la tierra, porque te he puesto por señal a la casa de Israel.”

In their sight you shall bear your baggage upon your shoulder and carry it forth in the dark; you shall cover your face so that you cannot see the land, for I have set you as a sign for the house of Israel.

7 Y o hice tal como se me había mandado. Saqué mi equipaje de día como el equipaje de un desterrado. Entonces al atardecer cavé con mis manos a través del muro; salí en la oscuridad y cargué el equipaje sobre los hombros, a la vista de ellos.

And I did as I was commanded. I brought forth my baggage by day, as baggage for exile, and in the evening I dug through the wall with my own hands. I brought out my baggage in the dark, carrying it upon my shoulder in their sight.

8 P or la mañana vino a mí la palabra del Señor:

And in the morning came the word of the Lord to me, saying,

9 “ Hijo de hombre, ¿no te ha dicho la casa de Israel, esa casa rebelde: ‘¿Qué estás haciendo ?’

Son of man, has not the house of Israel, the rebellious house, asked you what you are doing?

10 D iles: ‘Así dice el Señor Dios: “Esta carga (Este oráculo) se refiere al príncipe en Jerusalén y a toda la casa de Israel que está en medio de ella.”’

Say to them, Thus says the Lord God: This oracle or revelation concerns the prince in Jerusalem and all the house of Israel who are in it.

11 “ Yo soy su señal. ‘Como he hecho, así se hará con ellos; irán al destierro, a la cautividad.’

Say, I am your sign; as I have done, so shall it be done to them; into banishment, into captivity, they shall go.

12 Y el príncipe que está en medio de ellos, cargará su equipaje sobre los hombros en la oscuridad, y saldrá. Cavará un hueco en el muro para sacar lo. Cubrirá su rostro para no ver la tierra con sus ojos.

And the prince who is in their midst shall lift up his luggage to his shoulder in the dark; then shall he go forth. They shall dig through the wall to carry out through the hole in it. He shall cover his face so that he will not see with his eyes the land.

13 E xtenderé Mi red sobre él y quedará preso en Mi trampa. Lo llevaré a Babilonia, a la tierra de los Caldeos; pero no la verá, y morirá allí.

My net also will I spread over him, and he shall be taken in My snare, and I will bring him to Babylonia, to the land of the Chaldeans; yet shall he not see it, though he shall die there.

14 Y a todos los que los rodean, sus servidores y todas sus tropas, los esparciré a todos los vientos y sacaré la espada tras ellos.

And I will scatter toward every wind all who are about him to help him, even all his bands; and I will draw out the sword after them.

15 Y sabrán que Yo soy el Señor cuando los disperse entre las naciones y los esparza por las tierras.

And they shall know (recognize, understand, and realize) that I am the Lord, when I shall scatter them among the nations and disperse them in the countries.

16 P ero preservaré a algunos de ellos de la espada, del hambre y de la pestilencia, para que cuenten todas sus abominaciones entre las naciones adonde vayan, y sepan que Yo soy el Señor.”

But I will leave a few survivors who will escape the sword, the famine, and the pestilence, that they may declare and confess all their abominations among the nations to which they go, and they shall know (understand and realize) that I am the Lord.

17 Y vino a mí la palabra del Señor:

Moreover, the word of the Lord came to me, saying,

18 “ Hijo de hombre, come tu pan con temblor y bebe tu agua con estremecimiento y angustia.

Son of man, eat your bread with shaking, and drink water with trembling and with fearfulness;

19 Y dile a la gente de la tierra: ‘Así dice el Señor Dios acerca de los habitantes de Jerusalén sobre el suelo de Israel: “Comerán su pan con angustia y beberán su agua con terror, porque su tierra será despojada de su abundancia a causa de la violencia de todos los que habitan en ella.

And say to the people of the land, Thus says the Lord God concerning the inhabitants of Jerusalem in the land of Israel: They shall eat their bread with fearfulness and drink water with dismay, for their land will be stripped and plundered of all its fullness, because of the violence of all those who dwell in it.

20 L as ciudades habitadas serán devastadas y la tierra vendrá a ser una desolación. Así ustedes sabrán que Yo soy el Señor.”’”

And the cities that are inhabited shall be laid waste, and the land shall be deserted and become a desolation; and you shall know (understand and realize) that I am the Lord.

21 E ntonces vino a mí la palabra del Señor:

And the word of the Lord came to me, saying,

22 “ Hijo de hombre, ¿qué proverbio es ése que ustedes tienen acerca de la tierra de Israel, que dice: ‘Se alargan los días y desaparece toda visión ’?

Son of man, what is this proverb that you have in the land of Israel, saying, The days drag on and every vision comes to nothing and is not fulfilled?

23 P or tanto, diles: ‘Así dice el Señor Dios: “Haré cesar este proverbio para que ya no lo usen como proverbio en Israel.” Diles, pues: “Se acercan los días y el cumplimiento de toda visión.

Tell them therefore, Thus says the Lord God: I will put an end to this proverb, and they shall use it no more as a proverb in Israel. But say to them, The days are at hand and the fulfillment of every vision.

24 P orque ya no habrá ninguna visión falsa ni adivinación lisonjera en medio de la casa de Israel.

For there shall be no more any false, empty, and fruitless vision or flattering divination in the house of Israel.

25 P orque Yo, el Señor, hablaré, y toda palabra que diga se cumplirá. No se demorará más, sino que en sus días, oh casa rebelde, hablaré la palabra y la cumpliré,” declara el Señor Dios.’”

For I am the Lord; I will speak, and the word that I shall speak shall be performed (come to pass); it shall be no more delayed or prolonged, for in your days, O rebellious house, I will speak the word and will perform it, says the Lord God.

26 Y vino a mí la palabra del Señor:

Again the word of the Lord came to me, saying,

27 “ Hijo de hombre, la casa de Israel dice: ‘La visión que él ve es para dentro de muchos días, y para tiempos lejanos él profetiza.’

Son of man, behold, they of the house of Israel say, The vision that sees is for many days to come, and he prophesies of the times that are far off.

28 P or tanto, diles: ‘Así dice el Señor Dios: “Ninguna de Mis palabras se demorará más. Toda palabra que diga se cumplirá,”’” declara el Señor Dios.

Therefore say to them, Thus says the Lord God: There shall none of My words be deferred any more, but the word which I have spoken shall be performed, says the Lord God.
