This is the book (the written record, the history) of the generations of the offspring of Adam. When God created man, He made him in the likeness of God.

2 V arón y hembra los creó. Los bendijo, y los llamó Adán el día en que fueron creados.

He created them male and female and blessed them and named them Adam at the time they were created.

3 C uando Adán había vivido 130 años, engendró un hijo a su semejanza, conforme a su imagen, y le puso por nombre Set.

When Adam had lived 130 years, he had a son in his own likeness, after his image; and he named him Seth.

4 Y los días de Adán después de haber engendrado a Set fueron 800 años, y tuvo otros hijos e hijas.

After he had Seth, Adam lived 800 years and had other sons and daughters.

5 E l total de los días que Adán vivió fue de 930 años, y murió.

So altogether Adam lived 930 years, and he died.

6 S et vivió 105 años, y fue padre de Enós.

When Seth was 105 years old, Enosh was born.

7 Y vivió Set 807 años después de haber engendrado a Enós, y tuvo otros hijos e hijas.

Seth lived after the birth of Enosh 807 years and had other sons and daughters.

8 E l total de los días de Set fue de 912 años, y murió.

So Seth lived 912 years, and he died.

9 E nós vivió 90 años, y fue padre de Cainán.

When Enosh was 90 years old, Kenan was born to him.

10 Y vivió Enós 815 años después de haber engendrado a Cainán, y tuvo otros hijos e hijas.

When Enoch was 65 years old, Methuselah was born.

22 E noc anduvo con Dios 300 años después de haber engendrado a Matusalén, y tuvo otros hijos e hijas.

Enoch walked with God after the birth of Methuselah 300 years and had other sons and daughters.

23 E l total de los días de Enoc fue de 365 años.

So all the days of Enoch were 365 years.

24 Y Enoc anduvo con Dios, y desapareció porque Dios se lo llevó.

And Enoch walked with God; and he was not, for God took him.

25 M atusalén vivió 187 años, y fue padre de Lamec.

When Methuselah was 187 years old, Lamech was born to him.

26 Y vivió Matusalén 782 años después de haber engendrado a Lamec, y tuvo otros hijos e hijas.

Methuselah lived after the birth of Lamech 782 years and had other sons and daughters.

27 E l total de los días de Matusalén fue de 969 años, y murió.

So Methuselah lived 969 years, and he died.

28 L amec vivió 182 años, y tuvo un hijo.

When Lamech was 182 years old, a son was born.

29 Y le puso por nombre Noé, diciendo: “Este nos dará descanso de nuestra labor y del trabajo de nuestras manos, por causa de la tierra que el Señor ha maldecido.”

He named him Noah, saying, This one shall bring us relief and comfort from our work and the toil of our hands due to the ground being cursed by the Lord.

30 Y vivió Lamec 595 años después de haber engendrado a Noé, y tuvo otros hijos e hijas.

Lamech lived after the birth of Noah 595 years and had other sons and daughters.

31 E l total de los días de Lamec fue de 777 años, y murió.

So all the days of Lamech were 777 years, and he died.

32 N oé tenía 500 años, y fue padre de Sem, de Cam y de Jafet.

After Noah was 500 years old, he became the father of Shem, Ham, and Japheth.
