1 N e të lëvdojmë, o Perëndi, ne të lëvdojmë, sepse emri yt na është i afërt; njeriu tregon mrekullitë e tua.

We give praise and thanks to You, O God, we praise and give thanks; Your wondrous works declare that Your Name is near and they who invoke Your Name rehearse Your wonders.

2 K ur do të vijë koha e caktuar, unë do të gjykoj me drejtësi.

When the proper time has come, I will judge uprightly.

3 T oka dhe tërë banorët e saj shkrihen, por unë i bëj të qëndrueshme shtyllat e saj. (Sela)

When the earth totters, and all the inhabitants of it, it is I Who will poise and keep steady its pillars. Selah!

4 U kam thënë fodullëve: "Mos u mburrni!," dhe të pabesëve: "Mos u bëni hundëpërpjetë!

I said to the arrogant and boastful, Deal not arrogantly; and to the wicked, Lift not up the horn.

5 M os e ngrini lart kokën, mos flisni me qafë të fortë".

Lift not up your horn on high, speak not with a stiff neck and insolent arrogance.

6 S epse lëvdimi nuk vjen as nga lindja, as nga perëndimi, as edhe nga shkretëtira.

For not from the east nor from the west nor from the south come promotion and lifting up.

7 S epse Perëndia është ai që gjykon; ai ul njerin dhe ngre tjetrin.

But God is the Judge! He puts down one and lifts up another.

8 S epse Zoti ka në dorë një kupë vere që shkumon dhe plot me erëza, që ai e zbraz. Me siguri tërë të pabesët e dheut do ta kullojnë dhe do të pinë deri llumin.

For in the hand of the Lord there is a cup, and the wine foams and is red, well mixed; and He pours out from it, and all the wicked of the earth must drain it and drink its dregs.

9 P or unë do të shpall përjetë dhe do t’i këndoj lavde Perëndisë të Jakobit.

But I will declare and rejoice forever; I will sing praises to the God of Jacob.

10 D he do të dërrmoj tërë fuqinë e të pabesëve, por fuqia e të drejtëve do të përlëvdohet.

All the horns of the ungodly also will I cut off, but the horns of the righteous shall be exalted.
