1 N ë atë kohë Jezusi po ecte një të shtunë nëpër arat me grurë; dhe dishepujt e vet, të uritur, filluan të këpusin kallinj dhe t’i hanë.

At that particular time Jesus went through the fields of standing grain on the Sabbath; and His disciples were hungry, and they began to pick off the spikes of grain and to eat.

2 P or farisenjtë, kur panë këtë, i thanë: “Ja, dishepujt e tu po bëjnë atë që nuk është e lejueshme të bëhet të shtunën.”

And when the Pharisees saw it, they said to Him, See there! Your disciples are doing what is unlawful and not permitted on the Sabbath.

3 D he ai u tha atyre: “A nuk keni lexuar vallë se ç’bëri Davidi kur pati uri, ai dhe ata që qenë me të?

He said to them, Have you not even read what David did when he was hungry, and those who accompanied him—

4 S i ai hyri në shtëpinë e Perëndisë dhe hëngri bukët e paraqitjes, të cilat nuk lejohej t’i hante as ai e as ata që ishin me të, por vetëm priftërinjtë?

How he went into the house of God and ate the loaves of the showbread—which was not lawful for him to eat, nor for the men who accompanied him, but for the priests only?

5 A po nuk keni lexuar në ligj që në tempull, të shtunave, priftërinjtë e shkelin të shtunën dhe megjithatë nuk mëkatojnë?

Or have you never read in the Law that on the Sabbath the priests in the temple violate the sanctity of the Sabbath and yet are guiltless?

6 D he unë po ju them se këtu është një më i madh se tempulli.

But I tell you, Something greater and more exalted and more majestic than the temple is here!

7 D he, po të dinit se çfarë do të thotë: "Unë dua mëshirë dhe jo flijime," nuk do të kishit dënuar të pafajshmit.

And if you had only known what this saying means, I desire mercy rather than sacrifice and sacrificial victims, you would not have condemned the guiltless.

8 S epse Biri i njeriut është zot edhe i së shtunës.”

For the Son of Man is Lord of the Sabbath.

9 P astaj, mbasi u largua që andej, hyri në sinagogën e tyre;

And going on from there, He went into their synagogue.

10 d he ja, aty ishte një burrë të cilit i qe tharë dora. Ata e pyetën Jezusin, me qëllim që ta padisin më pas: “A është e lejueshme që dikush të shërojë ditën e shtunë?.”

And behold, a man was there with one withered hand. And they said to Him, Is it lawful or allowable to cure people on the Sabbath days?—that they might accuse Him.

11 D he ai u tha atyre: “A ka ndonjë prej jush që ka një dele, dhe ajo bie në një gropë ditën e shtunë, dhe e ai nuk shkon ta nxjerrë jashtë?

But He said to them, What man is there among you, if he has only one sheep and it falls into a pit or ditch on the Sabbath, will not take hold of it and lift it out?

12 E , pra, sa më i vlefshëm është njeriu se delja! A është, pra, e lejueshme të bësh të mirën të shtunën?.”

How much better and of more value is a man than a sheep! So it is lawful and allowable to do good on the Sabbath days.

13 A tëherë ai i tha atij burri: “Shtrije dorën tënde!.” Dhe ai e shtriu dhe ajo iu shëndosh si tjetra.

Then He said to the man, Reach out your hand. And the man reached it out and it was restored, as sound as the other one.

14 P or farisenjtë, mbasi dolën jashtë, bënin këshill kundër tij si ta vrasin.

But the Pharisees went out and held a consultation against Him, how they might do away with Him.

15 P or kur Jezusi e mori vesh u largua prej andej dhe turma të mëdha e ndiqnin dhe ai i shëroi të gjithë,

But being aware of this, Jesus went away from there. And many people joined and accompanied Him, and He cured all of them,

16 d he i urdhëroi ata rreptësisht të mos thonin kush ishte ai,

And strictly charged them and sharply warned them not to make Him publicly known.

17 m e qëllim që të përmbushej ç’ishte thënë nëpërmjet profetit Isaia që thotë:

This was in fulfillment of what was spoken by the prophet Isaiah,

18 “ Ja shërbëtori im, që unë e zgjodha; i dashuri im, në të cilin shpirti im është i kënaqur. Unë do ta vë Frymën tim mbi të dhe ai do t’u shpall drejtësinë popujve.

Behold, My Servant Whom I have chosen, My Beloved in and with Whom My soul is well pleased and has found its delight. I will put My Spirit upon Him, and He shall proclaim and show forth justice to the nations.

19 A i nuk do të zihet dhe as nuk do të bërtasë dhe askush nuk do t’ia dëgjojë zërin e tij nëpër sheshe.

He will not strive or wrangle or cry out loudly; nor will anyone hear His voice in the streets;

20 A i nuk do ta thërmojë kallamin e thyer dhe nuk do ta shuajë kandilin që bën tym, deri sa të mos e ketë bërë të triumfojë drejtësinë.

A bruised reed He will not break, and a smoldering (dimly burning) wick He will not quench, till He brings justice and a just cause to victory.

21 D he njerëzit do të shpresojnë në emrin e tij.”

And in and on His name will the Gentiles (the peoples outside of Israel) set their hopes.

22 A tëherë i paraqitën një të idemonizuar, që ishte i verbër dhe memec; dhe ai e shëroi, kështu që i verbëri e memeci fliste dhe shikonte.

Then a blind and dumb man under the power of a demon was brought to Jesus, and He cured him, so that the blind and dumb man both spoke and saw.

23 D he mbarë turmat çuditeshin dhe thonin: “A mos është ky i Biri i Davidit?.”

And all the people were stunned with bewildered wonder and said, This cannot be the Son of David, can it?

24 P or farisenjtë, kur e dëgjuan këtë, thanë: “Ky i dëbon demonët vetëm me fuqinë e Beelzebubit, princit të demonëve.”

But the Pharisees, hearing it, said, This Man drives out demons only by and with the help of Beelzebub, the prince of demons.

25 D he Jezusi, duke njohur mendimet e tyre, u tha: “Çdo mbretëri, që përçahet në vetvete, shkon drejt shkatërrimit; dhe çdo qytet ose shtëpi, që përçahet në vetvete, nuk shkon gjatë.

And knowing their thoughts, He said to them, Any kingdom that is divided against itself is being brought to desolation and laid waste, and no city or house divided against itself will last or continue to stand.

26 A tëherë, në qoftë se Satani dëbon Satanë, ai është përçarë në vetvete, dhe si mund të qëndrojë mbretëria e tij?

And if Satan drives out Satan, he has become divided against himself and disunified; how then will his kingdom last or continue to stand?

27 D he në qoftë se unë i dëboj djajtë me ndihmën e Beelzebubit, me ndihmën e kujt i dëbojnë bijtë tuaj? Prandaj ata do të jenë gjykatësit tuaj.

And if I drive out the demons by Beelzebub, by whose do your sons drive them out? For this reason they shall be your judges.

28 P or, në qoftë se unë i dëboj djajtë me ndihmën e Frymës së Perëndisë, atëherë mbretëria e Perëndisë ka ardhur në mes tuaj.

But if it is by the Spirit of God that I drive out the demons, then the kingdom of God has come upon you '> before you expected it].

29 O se, si mund të hyjë dikush në shtëpinë e të fuqishmit dhe t’i grabisë pasurinë, po të mos e ketë lidhur më parë të fuqishmin? Vetëm atëherë ai do të mund t’ia plaçkisë shtëpinë.

Or how can a person go into a strong man’s house and carry off his goods (the entire equipment of his house) without first binding the strong man? Then indeed he may plunder his house.

30 K ush nuk është me mua, është kundër meje dhe kush nuk mbledh me mua, shkapërderdh.

He who is not with Me '> on My side] is against Me, and he who does not gather with Me and for My side scatters.

31 P randaj unë po ju them: Çdo mëkat dhe blasfemi do t’u falet njerëzve; por blasfemia kundër Frymës nuk do t’u falet atyre.

Therefore I tell you, every sin and blasphemy (every evil, abusive, injurious speaking, or indignity against sacred things) can be forgiven men, but blasphemy against the Spirit shall not and cannot be forgiven.

32 D he kushdo që flet kundër Birit të njeriut do të falet; por ai që flet kundër Frymës së Shenjtë nuk do të falet as në këtë botë as në atë të ardhme.”

And whoever speaks a word against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but whoever speaks against the Spirit, the Holy One, will not be forgiven, either in this world and age or in the world and age to come.

33 “ Ose bëjeni të mirë pemën dhe fryti i saj do të jetë i mirë, ose bëjeni të keqe pemën dhe fryti i saj do të jetë i keq; sepse pema njihet nga fryti.

Either make the tree sound (healthy and good), and its fruit sound (healthy and good), or make the tree rotten (diseased and bad), and its fruit rotten (diseased and bad); for the tree is known and recognized and judged by its fruit.

34 O pjellë nepërkash! Si mund të flisni mirë, kur jeni të këqij? Sepse ç’ka zemra qet goja.

You offspring of vipers! How can you speak good things when you are evil (wicked)? For out of the fullness (the overflow, the superabundance) of the heart the mouth speaks.

35 N jeriu i mirë nga thesari i mirë i zemrës nxjerr gjëra të mira; por njeriu i keq nxjerr gjëra të këqija nga thesari i tij i keq.

The good man from his inner good treasure flings forth good things, and the evil man out of his inner evil storehouse flings forth evil things.

36 P or unë po ju them se ditën e gjyqit njërëzit do të japin llogari për çdo fjalë të kotë që kanë thënë.

But I tell you, on the day of judgment men will have to give account for every idle (inoperative, nonworking) word they speak.

37 S epse në bazë të fjalëve të tua do të justifikohesh, dhe në bazë të fjalëve të tua do të dënohesh.”

For by your words you will be justified and acquitted, and by your words you will be condemned and sentenced.

38 A tëherë disa skribë dhe farisenj e pyetën duke thënë: “Mësues, ne duam të shohim ndonjë shenjë prej teje.”

Then some of the scribes and Pharisees said to Him, Teacher, we desire to see a sign or miracle from You.

39 P or ai duke iu përgjigjur u tha atyre: “Ky brez i mbrapshtë dhe kurorëshkelës kërkon një shenjë, por asnjë shenjë nuk do t’i jepet, përveç shenjës së profetit Jona.

But He replied to them, An evil and adulterous generation (a generation morally unfaithful to God) seeks and demands a sign; but no sign shall be given to it except the sign of the prophet Jonah.

40 N ë fakt ashtu si Jona qëndroi tri ditë e tri net në barkun e peshkut të madh, kështu Biri i njeriut do të qëndrojë tri ditë e tri net në zemër të tokës.

For even as Jonah was three days and three nights in the belly of the sea monster, so will the Son of Man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.

41 B anorët e Ninivit do të ringjallen në gjyq bashkë me këtë brez dhe do ta dënojnë, sepse ata u penduan me predikimin e Jonas; dhe ja, këtu është një më i madh se Jona.

The men of Nineveh will stand up at the judgment with this generation and condemn it; for they repented at the preaching of Jonah, and behold, Someone more and greater than Jonah is here!

42 M bretëresha e jugut do të ringjallet në gjyq bashkë me këtë brez dhe do ta dënojë, sepse ajo erdhi nga skaji më i largët i tokës për të dëgjuar diturinë e Salomonit; dhe ja, këtu është një më i madh se Salomoni.

The queen of the South will stand up at the judgment with this generation and condemn it; for she came from the ends of the earth to listen to the wisdom of Solomon, and behold, Someone more and greater than Solomon is here.

43 T ani kur fryma e ndyrë ka dalë nga një njeri, endet nëpër vende të thata, duke kërkuar qetësi, por nuk e gjen.

But when the unclean spirit has gone out of a man, it roams through dry places in search of rest, but it does not find any.

44 A tëherë thotë: "Do të kthehem në shtëpinë time, nga kam dalë"; po kur arrin e gjen të zbrazët, të pastruar dhe të zbukuruar;

Then it says, I will go back to my house from which I came out. And when it arrives, it finds the place unoccupied, swept, put in order, and decorated.

45 a tëherë shkon e merr me vete shtatë frymëra të tjera më të liga se ai, të cilët hyjnë dhe banojnë aty; kështu gjendja e fundit e këtij njeriut bëhet më e keqe nga e mëparshmja. Kështu do t’i ndodhë edhe këtij brezi të mbrapshtë.”

Then it goes and brings with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and make their home there. And the last condition of that man becomes worse than the first. So also shall it be with this wicked generation.

46 N dërsa ai vazhdonte t’u fliste turmave, ja nëna e tij dhe vëllezërit e tij po rrinin jashtë dhe kërkonin të flisnin me të.

Jesus was still speaking to the people when behold, His mother and brothers stood outside, seeking to speak to Him.

47 D he dikush i tha: “Ja, nëna jote dhe vëllezërit e tu janë atje jashtë dhe duan të flasin me ty.”

Someone said to Him, Listen! Your mother and Your brothers are standing outside, seeking to speak to You.

48 P or ai duke iu përgjigjur, i tha atij që e kishte lajmëruar: “Kush është nëna ime dhe kush janë vëllezërit e mi?.”

But He replied to the man who told Him, Who is My mother, and who are My brothers?

49 E shtriu dorën e vet drejt dishepujve të vet dhe tha: “Ja nëna ime dhe vëllezërit e mi.

And stretching out His hand toward His adherents, He said, Here are My mother and My brothers.

50 S epse kushdo që kryen vullnetin e Atit tim që është në qiej, më është vëlla, motër dhe nënë.”

For whoever does the will of My Father in heaven is My brother and sister and mother!
