1 B iri im, në rast se pranon fjalët e mia dhe i quan thesar urdhërimet e mia,

My son, if you will receive my words and treasure up my commandments within you,

Making your ear attentive to skillful and godly Wisdom and inclining and directing your heart and mind to understanding;

3 p o, në rast se kërkon me ngulm gjykimin dhe ngre zërin për të siguruar mirëkuptim,

Yes, if you cry out for insight and raise your voice for understanding,

4 n ë rast se e kërkon si argjendin dhe fillon të rrëmosh si për një thesar të fshehur,

If you seek as for silver and search for skillful and godly Wisdom as for hidden treasures,

5 a tëherë do të ndjesh frikën e Zotit dhe ke për të gjetur kuptimin e Perëndisë.

Then you will understand the reverent and worshipful fear of the Lord and find the knowledge of God.

6 S epse Zoti jep diturinë; nga goja e tij rrjedhin njohuria dhe arsyeja.

For the Lord gives skillful and godly Wisdom; from His mouth come knowledge and understanding.

7 A i mban rezervë për njerëzit e drejtë një ndihmë të fuqishme, një mburojë për ata që ecin me ndershmëri

He hides away sound and godly Wisdom and stores it for the righteous (those who are upright and in right standing with Him); He is a shield to those who walk uprightly and in integrity,

8 p ër të mbrojtur shtigjet e drejtësisë dhe për të ruajtur rrugën e shenjtorëve të tij.

That He may guard the paths of justice; yes, He preserves the way of His saints.

9 A tëherë do të kuptosh drejtësinë, barazinë, ndershmërinë dhe tërë rrugët e së mirës.

Then you will understand righteousness, justice, and fair dealing; yes, you will understand every good path.

10 K ur dituria të të hyjë në zemër, edhe njohja do të jetë e këndshme për shpirtin tënd,

For skillful and godly Wisdom shall enter into your heart, and knowledge shall be pleasant to you.

11 t ë menduarit do të kujdeset për ty dhe gjykimi do të të mbrojë,

Discretion shall watch over you, understanding shall keep you,

12 p ër të të çliruar nga rruga e keqe, nga njerëzit që flasin për gjëra të këqija,

To deliver you from the way of evil and the evil men, from men who speak perverse things and are liars,

13 n ga ata që braktisin shtigjet e ndershmërisë për të ecur në rrugët e territ,

Men who forsake the paths of uprightness to walk in the ways of darkness,

14 q ë gëzohen kur bëjnë të keqen dhe ndjejnë kënaqësi në çoroditjet e njeriut të keq,

Who rejoice to do evil and delight in the perverseness of evil,

15 s htigjet e të cilit janë të shtrembëra dhe rrugët dredha-dredha,

Who are crooked in their ways, wayward and devious in their paths.

So may you walk in the way of good men, and keep to the paths of the righteous (the upright, in right standing with God).

For the upright shall dwell in the land, and the men of integrity, blameless and complete, shall remain in it;

22 p or të pabesët do të shfarosen nga toka dhe shkelësit do të hiqen prej saj.

But the wicked shall be cut off from the earth, and the treacherous shall be rooted out of it.
