1 A tëherë Zoti iu përgjigj Jobit në mes të furtunës dhe i tha:

Then the Lord answered Job out of the whirlwind and said,

2 " Kush është ai që e errëson planin tim me fjalë që nuk kanë kuptim?

Who is this that darkens counsel by words without knowledge?

3 M irë, pra, ngjishe brezin si një trim; unë do të të pyes dhe ti do të më përgjigjesh.

Gird up now your loins like a man, and I will demand of you, and you declare to Me.

4 K u ishe kur unë hidhja themelet e tokës? Thuaje, në rast se ke aq zgjuarsi.

Where were you when I laid the foundation of the earth? Declare to Me, if you have and know understanding.

5 K ush ka vendosur përmasat e saj, në rast se e di, ose kush ka vënë mbi të litarin për ta matur?

Who determined the measures of the earth, if you know? Or who stretched the measuring line upon it?

6 K u janë vendosur themelet e saj, ose kush ia vuri gurin qoshes,

Upon what were the foundations of it fastened, or who laid its cornerstone,

7 k ur yjet e mëngjesit këndonin të gjithë së bashku dhe tërë bijtë e Perëndisë lëshonin britma gëzimi?

When the morning stars sang together and all the sons of God shouted for joy?

8 K ush e mbylli me porta detin kur shpërtheu duke dalë nga gjiri i nënës,

Or who shut up the sea with doors when it broke forth and issued out of the womb?—

9 k ur i dhashë retë për rroba dhe terrin për pelena?

When I made the clouds the garment of it, and thick darkness a swaddling band for it,

10 K ur i caktova një kufi dhe i vendosa shufra hekuri dhe porta,

And marked for it My appointed boundary and set bars and doors,

11 d he thashë: "Ti do të arrish deri këtu, por jo më tutje; këtu do të ndalen valët e tua krenare!"?

And said, Thus far shall you come and no farther; and here shall your proud waves be stayed?

12 Q ë kur se ti jeton a ke dhënë urdhra në mëngjes ose i ke treguar vendin agimit,

Have you commanded the morning since your days began and caused the dawn to know its place,

13 q ë ai të kapë skajet e tokës dhe të tronditë njerëzit e këqij?

So that may get hold of the corners of the earth and shake the wickedness out of it?

14 N dërron trajtë si argjila nën vulë dhe shquhet si një veshje.

It is changed like clay into which a seal is pressed; and things stand out like a many-colored garment.

15 N jerëzve të këqij u mohohet drita dhe krahu i ngritur u copëtohet.

From the wicked their light is withheld, and their uplifted arm is broken.

16 A ke arritur vallë deri në burimet e detit ose a ke vajtur vallë në kërkim të thellësirave të humnerës?

Have you explored the springs of the sea? Or have you walked in the recesses of the deep?

17 T ë janë treguar portat e vdekjes, apo ke parë vallë portat e hijes së vdekjes?

Have the gates of death been revealed to you? Or have you seen the doors of deep darkness?

18 A e ke vënë re gjerësinë e tokës. Thuaje, në rast se i di të gjitha këto!

Have you comprehended the breadth of the earth? Tell Me, if you know it all.

19 K u është rruga që të çon në banesën e dritës? Dhe terri, ku është vendi i tij,

Where is the way where light dwells? And as for darkness, where is its abode,

20 q ë ti të mund t’i çosh në vendin e tij, dhe të mund të njohësh shtigjet që të çojnë në shtëpinë e tij?

That you may conduct it to its home, and may know the paths to its house?

21 T i e di, sepse atëherë kishe lindur, dhe numri i ditëve të tua është i madh.

You must know, since you were born then! Or because you are so extremely old!

22 V allë, a ke hyrë ndonjë herë në depozitat e borës ose a ke parë vallë depozitat e breshërit

Have you entered the treasuries of the snow, or have you seen the treasuries of the hail,

23 q ë unë i mbaj në ruajtje për kohërat e fatkeqësive, për ditën e betejës dhe të luftës?

Which I have reserved for the time of trouble, for the day of battle and war?

24 N ëpër çfarë rruge përhapet drita ose përhapet era e lindjes mbi tokë?

By what way is the light distributed, or the east wind spread over the earth?

25 K ush ka hapur një kanal për ujërat që vërshojnë dhe rrugën për bubullimën e rrufeve,

Who has prepared a channel for the torrents of rain, or a path for the thunderbolt,

26 q ë të bjerë shi mbi tokë të pabanuar, mbi një shkretëtirë, ku nuk ka asnjë njeri,

To cause it to rain on the uninhabited land on the desert where no man lives,

27 p ër të shuar etjen e shkretëtirave të mjeruara, për të bërë që të mbijë dhe të rritet bari?

To satisfy the waste and desolate ground and to cause the tender grass to spring forth?

28 S hiu, vallë, a ka një baba? Ose kush i prodhon pikat e vesës?

Has the rain a father? Or who has begotten the drops of dew?

29 N ga gjiri i kujt del akulli dhe kush e krijon brymën e qiellit?

Out of whose womb came the ice? And the hoary frost of heaven, who has given it birth?

30 U jërat ngurtësohen si guri dhe sipërfaqja e humnerës ngrin.

The waters are congealed like stone, and the face of the deep is frozen.

31 A mund t’i bashkosh ti lidhjet e Plejadave, apo të zgjidhësh vargjet e Orionit?

Can you bind the chains of Pleiades, or loose the cords of Orion?

32 A i bën ti të duken yllësitë në kohën e tyre, apo e drejton ti Arushën e Madhe me të vegjlit e saj?

Can you lead forth the signs of the zodiac in their season? Or can you guide the Bear with her young?

33 A i njeh ti ligjet e qiellit, ose a mund të vendosësh ti sundimin e tyre mbi tokë?

Do you know the ordinances of the heavens? Can you establish their rule upon the earth?

34 A mund ta çosh zërin tënd deri në retë me qëllim që të mbulohesh nga shiu i bollshëm?

Can you lift up your voice to the clouds, so that an abundance of waters may cover you?

35 M os je ti ai që hedh rrufetë atje ku duhet të shkojnë, duke thënë: "Ja ku jam?".

Can you send lightnings, that they may go and say to you, Here we are?

36 K ush e ka vënë diturinë në mendje, ose kush i ka dhënë gjykim zemrës?

Who has put wisdom in the inward parts ? Or who has given understanding to the mind ?

37 K ush numëron retë me anë të diturisë, dhe kush derdh shakujt e qiellit

Who can number the clouds by wisdom? Or who can pour out the bottles of the heavens

38 k ur pluhuri shkrihet në një masë dhe plisat bashkohen midis tyre?

When the dust to run into a mass and the clods to cleave fast together?

39 A mund ta gjuash ti gjahun për luaneshën apo të ngopësh të vegjlit e uritur të luanit,

Can you hunt the prey for the lion? Or satisfy the appetite of the young lions

40 k ur struken në strofkat e tyre apo rrinë në pritë në strukën e tyre?

When they couch in their dens or lie in wait in their hiding place?

41 K ush i siguron korbit ushqimin e tij, kur zogjtë e tij i thërrasin Perëndisë dhe enden pa ushqim?

Who provides for the raven its prey when its young ones cry to God and wander about for lack of food?
