Then Eliphaz the Temanite answered and said,

If we venture to converse with you, will you be offended? Yet who can restrain himself from speaking?

3 J a ti ke mësuar shumë prej tyre dhe ua ke fortësuar duart e lodhura;

Behold, you have instructed many, and you have strengthened the weak hands.

4 f jalët e tua u kanë dhënë zemër të lëkundurve dhe kanë forcuar gjunjët që gjunjëzohen.

Your words have held firm him who was falling, and you have strengthened the feeble knees.

5 P or tani që e keqja të zuri ty, nuk je në gjendje të veprosh; të ka goditur ty, dhe ti e ke humbur fare.

But now it is come upon you, and you faint and are grieved; it touches you, and you are troubled and dismayed.

6 M ëshira jote a nuk është vallë besimi yt, dhe ndershmëria e sjelljes sate, shpresa jote?

Is not your fear of God your confidence and the integrity and uprightness of your ways your hope?

7 M baje mend: cili i pafajmë është zhdukur vallë, dhe a janë shkatërruar vallë njerëzit e ndershëm?

Think, I beg of you: who, being innocent, ever perished? Or where were those upright and in right standing with God cut off?

8 A shtu siç e kam parë unë vetë, ata që lërojnë paudhësinë dhe mbjellin mjerimin, vjelin frytet e tyre.

As I myself have seen, those who plow iniquity and sow trouble and mischief reap the same.

9 M e frymën e Perëndisë ata vdesin, era e zemërimit të tij i tret ata.

By the breath of God they perish, and by the blast of His anger they are consumed.

10 V rumbullima e luanit, zëri i luanit të egër dhe dhëmbët e luanëve të vegjël janë thyer.

The roaring of the lion and the voice of the fierce lion, and the teeth of the young lions are broken.

11 L uani vdes për mungesë gjahu dhe të vegjlit e luaneshës shpërndahen.

The old and strong lion perishes for lack of prey, and the whelps of the lioness are scattered abroad.

12 N jë fjalë më ka ardhur fshehurazi dhe veshi im ka zënë pëshpëritjen e saj.

Now a thing was secretly brought to me, and my ear received a whisper of it.

13 M idis mendimeve të vizioneve të natës, kur një gjumë i rëndë bie mbi njerëzit,

In thoughts from the visions of the night, when deep sleep falls on men,

14 m ë pushtoi një llahtari e madhe dhe një rrëqethje që bëri të dridhen gjithë kockat e mia.

Fear came upon me and trembling, which made all my bones shake.

15 N jë frymë më kaloi përpara, dhe m’u ngritën përpjetë qimet e trupit.

Then a spirit passed before my face; the hair of my flesh stood up!

16 A i u ndal, por nuk munda ta dalloj pamjen e tij; një figurë më rrinte para syve; kishte heshtje, pastaj dëgjova një zë që thoshte:

stood still, but I could not discern the appearance of it. A form was before my eyes; there was silence, and then I heard a voice, saying,

17 " A mund të jetë një i vdekshëm më i drejtë se Perëndia? A mund të jetë një njeri më i pastër se Krijuesi i tij?

Can mortal man be just before God, or be more right than He is? Can a man be pure before his Maker, or be more cleansed than He is?

18 J a, ai nuk u zë besë as shërbëtorëve të tij, dhe gjen madje të meta edhe tek engjëjt e tij;

Even in His servants He puts no trust or confidence, and His angels He charges with folly and error—

19 a q më tepër tek ata që banojnë në shtëpi prej argjile, themelet e të cilave janë në pluhur, dhe shtypen si një tenjë.

How much more those who dwell in houses (bodies) of clay, whose foundations are in the dust, who are crushed like the moth.

20 N ga mëngjesi deri në mbrëmje shkatërrohen; zhduken për fare, dhe asnjeri nuk i vë re.

Between morning and evening they are destroyed; without anyone noticing it they perish forever.

21 L itarin e çadrës së tyre vallë a nuk ua këpusin? Ata vdesin, por pa dituri"".

Is not their tent cord plucked up within them ? Do they not die, and that without wisdom?
