2 A i të mbështjell me dritë si të ishte një mantel dhe i shtrin qiejtë si një çadër;

Who covers Yourself with light as with a garment, Who stretches out the heavens like a curtain or a tent,

3 a i ndërton mbi ujërat dhomat e tij të larta, i bën retë si qerren e tij dhe ecën mbi krahët erës.

Who lays the beams of the upper room of His abode in the waters, Who makes the clouds His chariot, Who walks on the wings of the wind,

4 I bën erërat lajmëtarë të tij dhe flakët e zjarrit shërbëtorë të tij.

Who makes winds His messengers, flames of fire His ministers.

5 A i e ka krijuar tokën mbi themelet e saj; kjo nuk do të luajë kurrë përjetë.

You laid the foundations of the earth, that it should not be moved forever.

6 T i e kishe mbuluar me humnerë si me një rrobe; ujërat ishin ndalur mbi malet.

You covered it with the deep as with a garment; the waters stood above the mountains.

7 N ë qortimin tënd ato ikën, në zërin e gjëmimit tënd u larguan me nxitim.

At Your rebuke they fled; at the voice of Your thunder they hastened away.

8 D olën malet dhe luginat u ulën në vendin që ti kishe caktuar për to.

The mountains rose, the valleys sank down to the place which You appointed for them.

9 T i u vure ujërave një kufi që nuk duhet ta kapërxenin; ato nuk do të kthehen më të mbulojnë tokën.

You have set a boundary which they may not pass over, that they turn not again to deluge the earth.

10 A i bën që të dalin burime në luginat; ato rrjedhin midis maleve,

He sends forth springs into the valleys; their waters run among the mountains.

11 d he u japin për të pirë tërë kafshëve të fushës; gomarët e egër shuajnë etjen e tyre.

They give drink to every beast of the field; the wild asses quench their thirst there.

12 P ranë tyre banojnë shpendët e qiellit; midis gjelbërimeve lartojnë këngën e tyre.

Beside them the birds of the heavens have their nests; they sing among the branches.

13 N ga dhomat e sipërme të tij ai u jep ujë maleve; toka ngopet me frytin e veprave të tua.

He waters the mountains from His upper rooms; the earth is satisfied and abounds with the fruit of His works.

14 A i bën që të rritet bari për bagëtinë dhe bimësia në shërbim të njeriut, duke nxjerrë nga toka ushqimin e tij,

He causes vegetation to grow for the cattle, and all that the earth produces for man to cultivate, that he may bring forth food out of the earth—

15 d he verën që gëzon zemrën e njeriut, vajin që bën të shkëlqejë fytyra tij dhe bukën që i jep forcë zemrës së njeriut.

And wine that gladdens the heart of man, to make his face shine more than oil, and bread to support, refresh, and strengthen man’s heart.

16 K ështu ngopen drurët e Zotit dhe kedrat e Libanit që ai ka mbjellë;

The trees of the Lord are watered abundantly and are filled with sap, the cedars of Lebanon which He has planted,

17 a ty bëjnë folenë e tyre zogjtë, ndërsa lejleku bën nëpër selvitë banesën e tij.

Where the birds make their nests; as for the stork, the fir trees are her house.

18 M alet e larta janë për dhitë e egra, shkëmbinjtë janë streha e lepujve.

The high mountains are for the wild goats; the rocks are a refuge for the conies and badgers.

19 A i ka bërë hënën për stinët, dielli e di orën e perëndimit të tij.

appointed the moon for the seasons; the sun knows its setting.

20 T i dërgon terrin dhe bëhet natë; gjatë asaj shkojnë rreth e qark gjithë kafshët e pyllit.

You make darkness and it becomes night, in which creeps forth every wild beast of the forest.

21 L uanët e vegjël vrumbullojnë duke kërkuar gjahun dhe i kërkojnë Perëndisë ushqimin e tyre.

The young lions roar after their prey and seek their food from God.

22 P or, kur lind dielli, ata tërhiqen dhe rrinë në strofkat e tyre.

When the sun arises, they withdraw themselves and lie down in their dens.

23 A tëherë njeriu del për të punuar dhe punon deri në mbrëmje.

Man goes forth to his work and remains at his task until evening.

24 S a të shumta janë veprat e tua, o Zot! Ti i ke bërë të gjitha me dituri; toka është plot me pasuritë e tua.

O Lord, how many and varied are Your works! In wisdom have You made them all; the earth is full of Your riches and Your creatures.

25 J a deti, i madh dhe i gjerë, ku gëlojnë krijesa të panumërta;

Yonder is the sea, great and wide, in which are swarms of innumerable creeping things, creatures both small and great.

26 e përshkojnë anijet dhe Leviathani, që ti ke formuar për t’u tallur në të.

There go the ships of the sea, and Leviathan (the sea monster), which You have formed to sport in it.

27 T ë gjithë presin që ti t’u japësh ushqimin në kohën e duhur.

These all wait and are dependent upon You, that You may give them their food in due season.

28 T i ua jep atyre dhe ata e mbledhin; ti hap dorën dhe ngopen me të mira.

When You give it to them, they gather it up; You open Your hand, and they are filled with good things.

29 T i fsheh fytyrën tënde dhe ata e humbasin fare; ti heq frymën, dhe ata vdesin duke u kthyer përsëri në pluhurin e tyre.

When You hide Your face, they are troubled and dismayed; when You take away their breath, they die and return to their dust.

30 T i dërgon frymën tënde dhe ata krijohen, kështu ti ripërtërin faqen e dheut.

When You send forth Your Spirit and give them breath, they are created, and You replenish the face of the ground.

31 L avdia e Zotit të rrojë përjetë; le të gëzohet Zoti me veprat e tij;

May the glory of the Lord endure forever; may the Lord rejoice in His works—

32 a i shikon tokën dhe kjo dridhet; ai prek malet dhe ato nxjerrin tym.

Who looks on the earth, and it quakes and trembles, Who touches the mountains, and they smoke!

33 U në do t’i këndoj Zotit deri sa të kem jetë; do t’i këndoj lavde Perëndisë tim deri sa të jem.

I will sing to the Lord as long as I live; I will sing praise to my God while I have any being.

34 L e të jetë mendimi im i pëlqyer prej tij; unë do të ngazëllohem tek Zoti.

May my meditation be sweet to Him; as for me, I will rejoice in the Lord.

35 L e të zhduken mëkatarët nga toka dhe të pabesët mos qofshin më. Shpirti im, bekoje Zotin! Aleluja.

Let sinners be consumed from the earth, and let the wicked be no more. Bless (affectionately, gratefully praise) the Lord, O my soul! Praise the Lord! (Hallelujah!)
