1 Z oti i foli akoma Moisiut në malin Sinai, duke i thënë:

The Lord said to Moses on Mount Sinai,

2 " Folu bijve të Izraelit dhe u thuaj atyre: Kur do të hyni në vendin që unë po ju jap, toka do të respektojë një të shtunë pushimi për Zotin.

Say to the Israelites, When you come into the land which I give you, then shall the land keep a sabbath to the Lord.

3 G jashtë vjet me radhë do të mbjellësh arën tënde, gjashtë vjet me radhë do të krasitësh vreshtin tënd dhe do të mbledhësh prodhimet;

For six years you shall sow your field, and for six years you shall prune your vineyard and gather in its fruits.

4 p or viti i shtatë do të jetë një e shtunë pushimi për tokën, një e shtunë për nder të Zotit; nuk do të mbjellësh as arën tënde, as do të krasitësh vreshtin tënd.

But in the seventh year there shall be a sabbath of solemn rest for the land, a sabbath to the Lord; you shall neither sow your field nor prune your vineyard.

5 N uk do të korrësh atë që rritet vetvetiu në prodhimin tënd dhe nuk do të vjelësh rrushin e vreshtit të pakrasitur; do të jetë një vit pushimi për tokën.

What grows of itself in your harvest you shall not reap and the grapes on your uncultivated vine you shall not gather, for it is a year of rest to the land.

6 A të që toka do të prodhojë gjatë pushimit të saj do të shërbejë si ushqim për ty, për shërbëtorin ose shërbëtoren, për punëtorin tënd dhe për të huajin, me një fjalë për ata që banojnë me ty,

And the sabbath rest of the land shall furnish food for you, for your male and female slaves, your hired servant, and the temporary resident who lives with you,

7 p ër bagëtinë dhe kafshët që ndodhen në vendin tënd; tërë prodhimi i saj do të shërbejë si ushqim i tyre.

For your domestic animals also and for the beasts in your land; all its yield shall be for food.

8 G jithashtu do të llogaritësh për vete shtatë të shtuna vitesh: shtatë herë shtatë vjet; këto shtatë javë vitesh do të bëjnë për ty një periudhë prej dyzet e nëntë vjetësh.

And you shall number seven sabbaths or weeks of years for you, seven times seven years, so the total time of the seven weeks of years shall be forty-nine years.

9 D itën e dhjetë të muajit të shtatë do t’i biesh burisë; ditën e shlyerjes do të bëni që të bjerë buria në të gjithë vendin.

Then you shall sound abroad the loud trumpet on the tenth day of the seventh month; on the Day of Atonement blow the trumpet in all your land.

10 D he do të shenjtëroni vitin e pesëdhjetë dhe do shpallni në vend lirinë për të gjithë banorët e tij. Do të jetë për ju një jubile; secili prej jush do të kthehet në pronën e vet dhe secili prej jush do të kthehet në familjen e vet.

And you shall hallow the fiftieth year and proclaim liberty throughout all the land to all its inhabitants. It shall be a jubilee for you; and each of you shall return to his ancestral possession, and each of you shall return to his family.

11 V iti i pesëdhjetë do të jetë për ju një jubile; nuk do të mbillni dhe nuk do të korrni atë që rritet vetiu dhe nuk do të vilni vreshtat e pakrasitur.

That fiftieth year shall be a jubilee for you; in it you shall not sow, or reap and store what grows of itself, or gather the grapes of the uncultivated vines.

12 S epse është jubileu; ai do të jetë i shenjtë për ju; do të hani prodhimet që ju japin arat.

For it is a jubilee; it shall be holy to you; you shall eat the increase of it out of the field.

13 N ë këtë vit të jubileut secili do të kthehet në pronën e vet.

In this Year of Jubilee each of you shall return to his ancestral property.

14 N ë rast se i shisni diçka fqinjit tuaj, ose blini diçka nga fqinji juaj, nuk do t’i bëni asnjë të padrejtë njëri tjetrit.

And if you sell anything to your neighbor or buy from your neighbor, you shall not wrong one another.

15 D o të blesh nga fqinji yt në bazë të numrit të viteve që kanë kaluar mbas jubileut, dhe ai do të të shesë në bazë të numrit të viteve të korrjes.

According to the number of years after the Jubilee, you shall buy from your neighbor. And he shall sell to you according to the number of years the crops.

16 S a më tepër vite mbeten, aq më tepër do ta ngresh çmimin; sa më pak vite mbeten, aq më shumë do ta ulësh çmimin; sepse ai të shet në bazë të numrit të korrjeve.

If the years are many, you may increase the price, and if the years remaining are few, you shall diminish the price, for the number of the crops is what he is selling to you.

17 A snjë nga ju të mos dëmtojë fqinjin e tij, por të keni frikë nga Perëndia juaj; sepse unë jam Zoti, Perëndia juaj.

You shall not oppress and wrong one another, but you shall fear your God. For I am the Lord your God.

18 J u do të vini në zbatim statutet e mia, do të respektoni dekretet e mia dhe do t’i zbatoni; kështu do të banoni të sigurt në vendin tuaj.

Therefore you shall do and give effect to My statutes and keep My ordinances and perform them, and you will dwell in the land in safety.

19 T oka do të prodhojë frytet e saj dhe ju do t’i hani sa të ngopeni, dhe do të banoni të sigurt në të.

The land shall yield its fruit; you shall eat your fill and dwell there in safety.

20 P or në rast se thoni: "Çfarë do të hamë vitin e shtatë, po nuk mbollëm dhe nuk korrëm prodhimet tona?".

And if you say, What shall we eat in the seventh year if we are not to sow or gather in our increase?

21 U në kam urdhëruar që bekimi im të vijë mbi ju vitin e gjashtë, dhe ai do t’ju japë një korrje që do të mjaftojë për tre vjet.

Then I will command My blessings on you in the sixth year, so that it shall bring forth fruit for three years.

22 K ështu vitin e tetë do të mbillni dhe do të hani nga korrja e vjetër deri në vitin e nëntë; do të hani nga korrja e vjetër deri sa të vijë e reja.

And you shall sow in the eighth year, but eat of the old store of produce; until the crops of the ninth year come in you shall eat of the old supply.

23 T okat nuk do të shiten për gjithnjë, sepse toka është imja; sepse ju jeni të huaj dhe qiramarrës tek unë.

The land shall not be sold into perpetual ownership, for the land is Mine; you are strangers and temporary residents with Me.

24 P randaj në të gjithë vendin që keni pronë do të jepni të drejtën e shpengimit të tokës.

And in all the country you possess you shall grant a redemption for the land.

25 N ë qoftë se yt vëlla bëhet i varfër dhe shet një pjesë të pronës së tij, ai që ka të drejtën e shpengimit, i afërti i tij më i ngushtë, do të vijë dhe do të shpengojë atë që vëllai i tij ka shitur.

If your brother has become poor and has sold some of his property, if any of his kin comes to redeem it, he shall redeem what his brother has sold.

26 D he në qoftë se dikush nuk ka njeri që të mund ta shpengojë pronën e tij, por arrin të gjejë vetë shumën e nevojshme për shpengimin,

And if the man has no one to redeem his property, and he himself has become more prosperous and has enough to redeem it,

27 d o të numërojë vitet që kaluan dhe do t’i japë blerësit shumën e viteve që mbeten akoma, dhe do të rifitojë kështu pronën e tij.

Then let him count the years since he sold it and restore the overpayment to the man to whom he sold it, and return to his ancestral possession.

28 P or në qoftë se nuk është në gjëndje ta shpengojë pronën e tij, ajo që ka shitur do të mbetet në dorë të blerësit deri në vitin e jubileut; atë vit do të shpengohet dhe do të kthehet në zotërim të tij.

But if he is unable to redeem it, it shall remain in the buyer’s possession until the Year of Jubilee, when it shall be set free and he may return to it.

29 N ë rast se dikush shet një shtëpi në një qytet të rrethuar me mure, ai ka të drejtë ta shpengojë gjatë një viti të tërë mbas shitjes se saj; e drejta e riblerjes zgjat një vit të tërë.

If a man sells a dwelling house in a fortified city, he may redeem it within a whole year after it is sold; for a full year he may have the right of redemption.

30 P or në qoftë se shtëpia që ndodhet në qytetin e rrethuar me mure nuk është riblerë para se të ketë kaluar një vit i tërë, ajo do të mbetet për gjithnjë pronë e blerësit dhe e trashëgimtarëve të tij; nuk do të shpengohet me rastin e jubileut.

And if it is not redeemed within a full year, then the house that is in the fortified city shall be made sure, permanently and without limitations, for him who bought it, throughout his generations. It shall not go free in the Year of Jubilee.

31 S htëpitë e fshatrave të parrethuara me mure do të konsiderohen përkundrazi si tokë bujqësore; mund të shpengohen dhe me rastin e jubileut do të jenë të shpenguara.

But the houses of the unwalled villages shall be counted with the fields of the country. They may be redeemed, and they shall go free in the Year of Jubilee.

32 P ërsa u përket qyteteve të Levitëve, Levitët do të mund të riblejnë gjithnjë shtëpitë e qyteteve që ishin pronë e tyre.

Nevertheless, the cities of the Levites, the houses in the cities of their possession, the Levites may redeem at any time.

33 N ë rast se pastaj dikush ble një shtëpi nga Levitët, shtëpia e shitur në qytet që është pronë e tyre do të shpengohet vitin e jubileut, sepse shtëpitë e qyteteve të Levitëve janë pronë e tyre, në mes të bijve të Izraelit.

But if a house is not redeemed by a Levite, the sold house in the city they possess shall go free in the Year of Jubilee, for the houses in the Levite cities are their ancestral possession among the Israelites.

34 P or tokat e kullotës të qyteteve të tyre nuk mund të shiten, sepse janë pronë e përjetshme e tyre.

But the field of unenclosed or pasture lands of their cities may not be sold; it is their perpetual possession.

35 N ë rast se vëllai yt varfërohet dhe ndodhet ngushtë në mes tuaj, ti do ta përkrahësh si të huaj dhe si mik që të mund të jetojë pranë teje.

And if your brother has become poor and his hand wavers, then you shall uphold (strengthen, relieve) him, a stranger or a temporary resident with you, so that he may live with you.

36 M os nxirr nga ai asnjë përfitim ose dobi; por ki frikë nga Perëndia yt, dhe vëllai yt do të jetojë pranë teje.

Charge him no interest or increase, but fear your God, so your brother may live along with you.

37 N uk do t’i japësh hua paratë e tua me kamatë, as do t’i japësh ushqimet e tua për të nxjerrë ndonjë përfitim.

You shall not give him your money at interest nor lend him food at a profit.

38 U në jam Zoti, Perëndia juaj, që ju nxori nga vendi i Egjiptit që t’ju jap vendin e Kanaanit dhe që të jem Perëndia juaj.

I am the Lord your God, Who brought you forth out of the land of Egypt to give you the land of Canaan and to be your God.

39 N ë rast se vëllai yt që jeton pranë teje bëhet i varfër dhe shitet te ti, nuk do ta detyrosh të të shërbejë si skllav,

And if your brother becomes poor beside you and sells himself to you, you shall not compel him to serve as a bondman (a slave not eligible for redemption),

40 p or do të rrijë pranë teje si argat dhe si mik; do të të shërbejë deri në vitin e jubileut.

But as a hired servant and as a temporary resident he shall be with you; he shall serve you till the Year of Jubilee,

41 A tëherë do të largohet prej teje, ai dhe bijtë e tij, dhe do të kthehet në familjen e tij; kështu do të rifitojë pronën e etërve të tij.

And then he shall depart from you, he and his children with him, and shall go back to his own family and return to the possession of his fathers.

42 S epse ata janë shërbëtorët e mi, që unë i kam nxjerrë nga vendi i Egjiptit; nuk duhet, pra, të shiten si shiten skllevërit.

For the Israelites are My servants; I brought them out of the land of Egypt; they shall not be sold as bondmen.

43 N uk do ta sundosh me ashpërsi, por të kesh frikë Perëndinë tënd.

You shall not rule over him with harshness (severity, oppression), but you shall fear your God.

44 S a për skllavin dhe skllaven që mund të kesh, do t’i marrësh nga kombet që ju rrethojnë; prej tyre do të blini skllavin dhe skllaven.

As for your bondmen and your bondmaids whom you may have, they shall be from the nations round about you, of whom you may buy bondmen and bondmaids.

45 M und të blini gjithashtu skllevër ndër bijtë e të huajve që jetojnë midis jush dhe midis familjeve të tyre që gjenden midis jush dhe që kanë lindur në vendin tuaj; ata do të jenë pronë e juaj.

Moreover, of the children of the strangers who sojourn among you, of them you may buy and of their families that are with you which they have begotten in your land, and they shall be your possession.

46 D he mund t’ua lini si trashëgim bijve tuaj pas jush, si pronë e tyre; mund t’i shfrytëzoni si skllevër për gjithnjë; por, sa për vëllezërit tuaj, bijtë e Izraelit, askush nuk do të sundojë mbi tjetrin me ashpërsi.

And you shall make them an inheritance for your children after you, to hold for a possession; of them shall you take your bondmen always, but over your brethren the Israelites you shall not rule one over another with harshness (severity, oppression).

47 N ë rast se një i huaj që jeton pranë teje pasurohet dhe vëllai yt që jeton pranë tij varfërohet, dhe i shitet të huajit ose mikut që ndodhet pranë teje, ose dikujt nga familja e të huajit,

And if a sojourner or stranger with you becomes rich and your brother becomes poor beside him and sells himself to the stranger or sojourner with you or to a member of the stranger’s family,

48 p as shitjes së tij, mund të blihet përsëri; mund ta riblejë një nga vëllezërit e tij.

After he is sold he may be redeemed. One of his brethren may redeem him:

49 M und ta riblejë ungji i tij ose biri i ungjit të tij; mund të riblihet nga një i afërt i po atij gjaku; ose po të ketë mjetet, mund të shpengohet vet.

Either his uncle or his uncle’s son may redeem him, or a near kinsman may redeem him; or if he has enough and is able, he may redeem himself.

50 D o të bëjë llogarinë me blerësin e tij, qysh prej vitit që iu shit atij deri në vitin e jubileut; dhe çmimi që do të paguhet do të llogaritet në bazë të numrit të viteve, duke i vlerësuar ditët e tij si ato të një argati.

And shall reckon with the purchaser of the servant from the year when he sold himself to the purchaser to the Year of Jubilee, and the price of his release shall be adjusted according to the number of years. The time he was with his owner shall be counted as that of a hired servant.

51 N ë qoftë se mbeten akoma shumë vjet, do ta paguajë shpengimin e tij në bazë të numrit të tyre dhe çmimit me të cilin qe blerë;

If there remain many years, in proportion to them he must refund for his release for his acquisition.

52 p o të jetë se mbeten vetëm pak vite për të arritur në jubile, do ta bëjë llogarinë me blerësin e tij dhe do ta paguajë çmimin e shpengimit të tij në bazë të pak viteve që kanë mbetur.

And if little time remains until the Year of Jubilee, he shall count it over with him and he shall refund the proportionate amount for his release.

53 S i argat le të mbetet bashkë me të zotin një vit pas tjetrit, por ky nuk do ta trajtojë me ashpërsi përpara syve të tua.

And as a servant hired year by year shall he deal with him; he shall not rule over him with harshness (severity, oppression) in your sight.

54 D he po nuk u shpengua me asnjë nga këto mënyra, do të lihet i lirë në vitin e jubileut, ai dhe bijtë e tij.

And if he is not redeemed during these years and by these means, then he shall go free in the Year of Jubilee, he and his children with him.

55 S epse bijtë e Izraelit janë shërbëtorët e mi; janë shërbëtorët e mi, që i nxora nga vendi i Egjiptit. Unë jam Zoti, Perëndia juaj".

For to Me the Israelites are servants, My servants, whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt. I am the Lord your God.
