The words of Lemuel king of Massa, which his mother taught him:

2 Ç farë të të them, biri im? Çfarë të të them, biri i barkut tim? Çfarë të të them, bir i zotimeve të mia?

What, my son? What, son of my womb? What, son of my vows and dedication to God?

3 M os ua jep forcën tënde grave as jetën tënde asaj që shkatërron mbretërit.

Give not your strength to women, nor your ways to those who and that which ruin and destroy kings.

4 N uk u shkon mbretërve, o Lemuel, nuk u shkon mbretërve të pinë verë as princave të dëshirojnë pije dehëse,

It is not for kings, O Lemuel, it is not for kings to drink wine, or for rulers to desire strong drink,

5 s epse duke pirë të mos harrojnë ligjin dhe të mos shtrembërojnë të drejtën e të pikëlluarve.

Lest they drink and forget the law and what it decrees, and pervert the justice due any of the afflicted.

6 J epini pije dehëse atij që është duke vdekur dhe verë atij që e ka zemrën të hidhëruar.

Give strong drink to him who is ready to pass away, and wine to him in bitter distress of heart.

7 L e të pijë për të harruar varfërinë e tij dhe për të mos kujtuar më hallet e tij.

Let him drink and forget his poverty and remember his want and misery no more.

8 H ape gojën tënde në favor të memecit, në mbrojtje të të gjithë atyre që janë lënë pas dore.

Open your mouth for the dumb, for the rights of all who are left desolate and defenseless;

9 H ape gojën tënde, gjyko me drejtësi dhe mbro çështjen e të mjerit dhe të nevojtarit.

Open your mouth, judge righteously, and administer justice for the poor and needy.

10 K ush do të gjejë një grua të fortë dhe të virtytshme? Vlera e saj është shumë më e madhe nga ajo e margaritarëve.

A capable, intelligent, and virtuous woman—who is he who can find her? She is far more precious than jewels and her value is far above rubies or pearls.

11 Z emra e burrit të saj ka besim tek ajo, dhe do të ketë gjithnjë fitime.

The heart of her husband trusts in her confidently and relies on and believes in her securely, so that he has no lack of gain or need of spoil.

12 A jo i bën të mira dhe jo të keqe tërë ditët e jetës së saj.

She comforts, encourages, and does him only good as long as there is life within her.

13 G jen lesh dhe li dhe punon me gëzim me duart e veta.

She seeks out wool and flax and works with willing hands.

14 A jo u përngjan anijeve të tregëtarëve: e sjell ushqimin e saj nga larg.

She is like the merchant ships loaded with foodstuffs; she brings her household’s food from a far.

15 Ç ohet që me natë për t’i ndarë ushqimin familjes së saj dhe për t’u dhënë urdhërat e nevojshme shërbëtoreve të saj.

She rises while it is yet night and gets food for her household and assigns her maids their tasks.

16 A jo shikon një arë dhe e ble; me duart e saj mbjell një vresht.

She considers a field before she buys or accepts it; with her savings she plants fruitful vines in her vineyard.

17 N gjesh me forcë ijët dhe i bën më të fortë krahët e saj.

She girds herself with strength and makes her arms strong and firm.

18 E kupton që tregëtia e saj po shkon mbarë dhe llamba e saj e natës nuk i shuhet.

She tastes and sees that her gain from work is good; her lamp goes not out, but it burns on continually through the night.

19 S htrin dorën mbi furkën, pëllëmbat e saj zënë boshtin.

She lays her hands to the spindle, and her hands hold the distaff.

20 I shtrin dorën të varfërit dhe i jep dorën nevojtarit.

She opens her hand to the poor, yes, she reaches out her filled hands to the needy.

21 N uk i trembet borës për familjen e saj, sepse tërë ata të shtëpisë së vet kanë një veshje të dyfishtë.

She fears not the snow for her family, for all her household are doubly clothed in scarlet.

22 B ën për vete mbulesa si sixhade dhe rrobat e saj janë prej liri shumë të hollë dhe të purpurta.

She makes for herself coverlets, cushions, and rugs of tapestry. Her clothing is of linen, pure and fine, and of purple.

23 B urri i saj nderohet te porta, kur ulet bashkë me pleqtë e vendit.

Her husband is known in the gates, when he sits among the elders of the land.

24 P ërgatit rroba prej liri dhe i shet, i furnizon me breza tregtarët.

She makes fine linen garments and leads others to buy them; she delivers to the merchants girdles.

25 F orca dhe nderi janë rrobat e saj dhe qesh për ditët që do të vijnë.

Strength and dignity are her clothing and her position is strong and secure; she rejoices over the future!

26 H ap gojën e saj me dituri dhe mbi gjuhën e saj është ligji i mirësisë.

She opens her mouth in skillful and godly Wisdom, and on her tongue is the law of kindness.

27 A jo mbikqyr si shkon shtëpia e vet dhe nuk ha bukën e përtacisë.

She looks well to how things go in her household, and the bread of idleness (gossip, discontent, and self-pity) she will not eat.

28 B ijtë e saj ngrihen dhe e shpallin fatlume; edhe burri i saj e lëvdon duke thënë:

Her children rise up and call her blessed (happy, fortunate, and to be envied); and her husband boasts of and praises her,,

29 " Shumë bija kanë bërë gjëra të mëdha, por ti i kalon të gjitha ato".

Many daughters have done virtuously, nobly, and well, but you excel them all.

30 H iri është i rremë dhe bukuria është e kotë, por gruaja që ka frikë nga Zoti është ajo që do të lëvdohet.

Charm and grace are deceptive, and beauty is vain, but a woman who reverently and worshipfully fears the Lord, she shall be praised!

31 I jepni frytin e duarve të saj, dhe vet veprat e saj le ta lëvdojnë te portat.

Give her of the fruit of her hands, and let her own works praise her in the gates!
