1 N ow Joshua was old and gone far in years, and the Lord said to him, You have grown old and are gone far in years, and very much of the land still remains to be possessed.

Siendo Josué ya viejo, entrado en años, Jehová le dijo: Tú eres ya viejo, de edad avanzada, y queda aún mucha tierra por poseer.

2 T his is the land that remains: all the regions of the Philistines and all those of the Geshurites:

Esta es la tierra que queda: todos los territorios de los filisteos, y todos los de los gesureos;

3 F rom the Shihor which is east of Egypt, northward to the boundary of Ekron, all of it counted as Canaanite; there are five rulers of the Philistines, those of Gaza, Ashdod, Ashkelon, Gath, and Ekron, and those of the Avvites;

desde Sihor, que está al oriente de Egipto, hasta el límite de Ecrón al norte, que se considera de los cananeos; de los cinco príncipes de los filisteos, el gazeo, el asdodeo, el ascaloneo, el geteo y el ecroneo; también los aveos;

4 I n the south, all the land of the Canaanites, and Mearah, which belongs to the Sidonians, to Aphek, to the boundary of the Amorites,

al sur toda la tierra de los cananeos, y Mehará, que es de los sidonios, hasta Afec, hasta los límites del amorreo;

5 A nd the land of the Gebalites; and all Lebanon toward the east, from Baal-gad below Mount Hermon to the gate of Hamath.

la tierra de los giblitas, y todo el Líbano hacia donde sale el sol, desde Baal-gad al pie del monte Hermón, hasta la entrada de Hamat;

6 A s for all the inhabitants of the hill country from Lebanon to Misrephoth-maim, even all the Sidonians, I will Myself drive them out from before the Israelites; only allot the land to Israel for an inheritance, as I have commanded you.

todos los que habitan en las montañas desde el Líbano hasta Misrefotmaim, todos los sidonios; yo los arrojaré de delante de los hijos de Israel. Reparte, pues, tú por suerte el país a los israelitas por heredad, como te he mandado.

7 S o now divide this land for an inheritance to the nine tribes and the half-tribe of Manasseh.

Reparte ahora esta tierra en heredad a las nueve tribus, y a la media tribu de Manasés.

8 W ith the other half-tribe of Manasseh, the Reubenites and the Gadites received their inheritance beyond the Jordan eastward, as Moses the servant of the Lord gave them:

Porque los rubenitas y gaditas y la otra mitad de Manasés recibieron ya su heredad, la cual les dio Moisés al otro lado del Jordán al oriente, según se la dio Moisés siervo de Jehová;

9 F rom Aroer on the edge of the Valley of the Arnon, and the city in the midst of the valley, and all the tableland of Medeba as far as Dibon;

desde Aroer, que está a la orilla del arroyo de Arnón, y la ciudad que está en medio del valle, y toda la llanura de Medebá, hasta Dibón;

10 A nd all the cities of Sihon king of the Amorites, who ruled in Heshbon, as far as the boundary of the Ammonites;

todas las ciudades de Sehón rey de los amorreos, el cual reinó en Hesbón, hasta los límites de los hijos de Amón;

11 A nd Gilead, and the region of the Geshurites and Maacathites, and all Mount Hermon, and all Bashan to Salecah—

y Galaad, y los territorios de los gesureos y de los maacateos, y todo el monte Hermón, y toda la tierra de Basán hasta Salcá;

12 A ll the kingdom of Og in Bashan, who reigned in Ashtaroth and Edrei and alone was left of the Rephaim; for these Moses had defeated and driven out.

todo el reino de Og en Basán, el cual reinó en Astarot y en Edreí, el cual había quedado del resto de los refaítas; pues Moisés los derrotó, y los echó.

13 Y et the Israelites did not drive out the Geshurites or the Maacathites, but Geshur and Maacath dwell among still.

Mas a los gesureos y a los maacateos no los echaron los hijos de Israel, sino que Gesur y Maacá siguen todavía hoy habitando entre los israelitas.

14 O nly to the tribe of Levi Moses gave no inheritance; the sacrifices made by fire to the Lord, the God of Israel, are their inheritance, as He said to him.

La tribu de Leví fue la única a la que no dio heredad; los sacrificios de Jehová Dios de Israel son su heredad, como él les había dicho. Territorio que distribuyó Moisés

15 A nd Moses gave an inheritance to the tribe of the Reubenites according to their families:

Dio, pues, Moisés a la tribu de los hijos de Rubén conforme a sus familias.

16 T heir territory was from Aroer on the edge of the Valley of the Arnon, and the city in the midst of the valley, and all the tableland by Medeba;

Y fue el territorio de ellos desde Aroer, que está a la orilla del arroyo de Arnón, y la ciudad que está en medio del valle, y toda la llanura hasta Medebá;

17 W ith Heshbon and all its cities which are on the plain; Dibon, Bamoth-baal, and Beth-baal-meon,

Hesbón, con todas sus ciudades que están en la llanura; Dibón, Bamot-baal, Bet-baal-meón,

18 J ahaz, Kedemoth, Mephaath,

Jahaz, Cademot, Mefaat,

19 K iriathaim, Sibmah, and Zereth-shahar on the hill of the valley,

Quiryatáyim, Sibmá, Zaret-sahar en el monte del valle,

20 B eth-peor, Pisgah’s slopes, and Beth-jeshimoth,

Bet-peor, las laderas de Pisgá, Bet-jesimot,

21 A ll the cities of the plain and all the kingdom of Sihon king of the Amorites, who ruled in Heshbon, whom Moses defeated along with the leaders of Midian, Evi, Rekem, Zur, Hur, and Reba, the princes of Sihon who lived in the land.

todas las ciudades de la llanura, y todo el reino de Sehón rey de los amorreos, que reinó en Hesbón, al cual derrotó Moisés, y a los príncipes de Madián, Eví, Réquem, Zur, Hur y Rebá, príncipes de Sehón que habitaban en aquella tierra.

22 B alaam son of Beor, the soothsayer, the Israelites also killed with the sword among the rest of their slain.

También mataron a espada los hijos de Israel a Balaam el adivino, hijo de Beor, entre los demás que mataron.

23 A nd the border of the Reubenites was the Jordan. This was the inheritance of the Reubenites according to their families, with their cities and villages.

Y el Jordán fue el límite del territorio de los hijos de Rubén. Esta fue la heredad de los hijos de Rubén conforme a sus familias, estas ciudades con sus aldeas.

24 M oses gave an inheritance also to the tribe of the Gadites according to their families.

Dio asimismo Moisés una parte a la tribu de Gad, a los hijos de Gad, conforme a sus familias.

25 T heir territory was Jazer, and all the cities of Gilead, and half the land of the Ammonites as far as Aroer east of Rabbah;

El territorio de ellos fue Jazer, y todas las ciudades de Galaad, y la mitad de la tierra de los hijos de Amón hasta Aroer, que está enfrente de Rabá.

26 A nd from Heshbon to Ramath-mizpeh and Betonim, and from Mahanaim to the territory of Debir;

Y desde Hesbón hasta Ramatmizpá, y Betonim; y desde Mahanáyim hasta el límite de Debir;

27 A nd in the valley, Beth-haram, Beth-nimrah, Succoth, and Zaphon, the rest of the realm of Sihon king of Heshbon, with the Jordan as a boundary, to the lower end of the Sea of Chinnereth east of the Jordan.

y en el valle, Bet-aram, Betnimrá, Sucot y Zafón, resto del reino de Sehón rey de Hesbón; el Jordán y su límite hasta el extremo del mar de Cinerot al otro lado del Jordán, al oriente.

28 T his is the inheritance of the Gadites according to their families, with their cities and villages.

Esta es la heredad de los hijos de Gad por sus familias, estas ciudades con sus aldeas.

29 A nd Moses gave an inheritance to the half-tribe of Manasseh; it was allotted to them according to their families.

También dio Moisés heredad a la media tribu de Manasés; y fue para la media tribu de los hijos de Manasés, conforme a sus familias.

30 T heir region extended from Mahanaim through all Bashan, the entire kingdom of Og king of Bashan, and all the towns of Jair, which are in Bashan, sixty cities,

El territorio de ellos fue desde Mahanáyim, todo Basán, y todas las aldeas de Jaír que están en Basán, sesenta poblaciones,

31 A nd half of Gilead, and Ashtaroth and Edrei, cities of the kingdom of Og in Bashan; these were allotted to the people of Machir son of Manasseh for half of the Machirites according to their families.

y la mitad de Galaad, y Astarot y Edreí, ciudades del reino de Og en Basán, para los hijos de Maquir hijo de Manasés, para la mitad de los hijos de Maquir conforme a sus familias.

32 T hese are the inheritances which Moses distributed in the plains of Moab beyond the Jordan east of Jericho.

Esto es lo que Moisés repartió en heredad en los llanos de Moab, al otro lado del Jordán de Jericó, al oriente.

33 B ut to the tribe of Levi, Moses gave no inheritance; the Lord, the God of Israel, is their inheritance, as He told them.

Mas a la tribu de Leví no dio Moisés heredad; Jehová Dios de Israel es la heredad de ellos, como él les había dicho.
