1 O Lord, rebuke me not in Your anger nor discipline and chasten me in Your hot displeasure.
Senhor, não me castigues na tua ira nem me disciplines no teu furor.
2 H ave mercy on me and be gracious to me, O Lord, for I am weak (faint and withered away); O Lord, heal me, for my bones are troubled.
Misericórdia, Senhor, pois vou desfalecendo! Cura-me, Senhor, pois os meus ossos tremem:
3 M y self is also exceedingly disturbed and troubled. But You, O Lord, how long ?
todo o meu ser estremece. Até quando, Senhor, até quando?
4 R eturn, O Lord, deliver my life; save me for the sake of Your steadfast love and mercy.
Volta-te, Senhor, e livra-me; salva-me por causa do teu amor leal.
5 F or in death there is no remembrance of You; in Sheol (the place of the dead) who will give You thanks?
Quem morreu não se lembra de ti. Entre os mortos, quem te louvará?
6 I am weary with my groaning; all night I soak my pillow with tears, I drench my couch with my weeping.
Estou exausto de tanto gemer. De tanto chorar inundo de noite a minha cama; de lágrimas encharco o meu leito.
7 M y eye grows dim because of grief; it grows old because of all my enemies.
Os meus olhos se consomem de tristeza; fraquejam por causa de todos os meus adversários.
8 D epart from me, all you workers of iniquity, for the Lord has heard the voice of my weeping.
Afastem-se de mim todos vocês que praticam o mal, porque o Senhor ouviu o meu choro.
9 T he Lord has heard my supplication; the Lord receives my prayer.
O Senhor ouviu a minha súplica; o Senhor aceitou a minha oração.
10 L et all my enemies be ashamed and sorely troubled; let them turn back and be put to shame suddenly.
Serão humilhados e aterrorizados todos os meus inimigos; frustrados, recuarão de repente.
