1 I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.

2 M y life makes its boast in the Lord; let the humble and afflicted hear and be glad.

Minha alma se gloriará no Senhor; ouçam os oprimidos e se alegrem.

3 O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt His name together.

Proclamem a grandeza do Senhor comigo; juntos exaltemos o seu nome.

4 I sought (inquired of) the Lord and required Him, and He heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.

Busquei o Senhor, e ele me respondeu; livrou-me de todos os meus temores.

5 T hey looked to Him and were radiant; their faces shall never blush for shame or be confused.

Os que olham para ele estão radiantes de alegria; seus rostos jamais mostrarão decepção.

6 T his poor man cried, and the Lord heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.

Este pobre homem clamou, e o Senhor o ouviu; e o libertou de todas as suas tribulações.

7 T he Angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him and each of them He delivers.

O anjo do Senhor é sentinela ao redor daqueles que o temem, e os livra.

8 O taste and see that the Lord is good! Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) is the man who trusts and takes refuge in Him.

Provem, e vejam como o Senhor é bom. Como é feliz o homem que nele se refugia!

9 O fear the Lord, you His saints! For there is no want to those who truly revere and worship Him with godly fear.

Temam o Senhor, vocês que são os seus santos, pois nada falta aos que o temem.

10 T he young lions lack food and suffer hunger, but they who seek (inquire of and require) the Lord, none of them shall lack any beneficial thing.

Os leões podem passar necessidade e fome, mas os que buscam o Senhor de nada têm falta.

11 C ome, you children, listen to me; I will teach you to revere and worshipfully fear the Lord.

Venham, meus filhos, ouçam-me; eu lhes ensinarei o temor do Senhor.

12 W hat man is he who desires life and longs for many days, that he may see good?

Quem de vocês quer amar a vida e deseja ver dias felizes?

13 K eep your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking deceit.

Guarde a sua língua do mal e os seus lábios da falsidade.

14 D epart from evil and do good; seek, inquire for, and crave peace and pursue (go after) it!

Afaste-se do mal e faça o bem; busque a paz com perseverança.

15 T he eyes of the Lord are toward the righteous and His ears are open to their cry.

Os olhos do Senhor voltam-se para os justos e os seus ouvidos estão atentos ao seu grito de socorro;

16 T he face of the Lord is against those who do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.

o rosto do Senhor volta-se contra os que praticam o mal, para apagar da terra a memória deles.

17 W hen the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears, and delivers them out of all their distress and troubles.

Os justos clamam, o Senhor os ouve e os livra de todas as suas tribulações.

18 T he Lord is close to those who are of a broken heart and saves such as are crushed with sorrow for sin and are humbly and thoroughly penitent.

O Senhor está perto dos que têm o coração quebrantado e salva os de espírito abatido.

19 M any evils confront the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.

O justo passa por muitas adversidades, mas o Senhor o livra de todas;

20 H e keeps all his bones; not one of them is broken.

protege todos os seus ossos; nenhum deles será quebrado.

21 E vil shall cause the death of the wicked; and they who hate the just and righteous shall be held guilty and shall be condemned.

A desgraça matará os ímpios; os que odeiam o justo serão condenados.

22 T he Lord redeems the lives of His servants, and none of those who take refuge and trust in Him shall be condemned or held guilty.

O Senhor redime a vida dos seus servos; ninguém que nele se refugia será condenado.
