1 I will bless the Lord at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.

Давидів, коли він удавав був причинного перед Авімелехом, що вигнав його, і той пішов. (34-2) Я благословлятиму Господа кожного часу, хвала Йому завсіди в устах моїх!

2 M y life makes its boast in the Lord; let the humble and afflicted hear and be glad.

(34-3) Душа моя буде хвалитися Господом, хай це почують слухняні, і нехай звеселяться!

3 O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt His name together.

(34-4) Зо мною звеличуйте Господа, і підносьте ім'я Його разом!

4 I sought (inquired of) the Lord and required Him, and He heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.

(34-5) Шукав я був Господа, і Він озвався до мене, і від усіх небезпек мене визволив.

5 T hey looked to Him and were radiant; their faces shall never blush for shame or be confused.

(34-6) Приглядайтесь до Нього й засяєте, і не посоромляться ваші обличчя!

6 T his poor man cried, and the Lord heard him, and saved him out of all his troubles.

(34-7) Цей убогий взивав, і Господь його вислухав, і від усіх його бід його визволив.

7 T he Angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear Him and each of them He delivers.

(34-8) Ангол Господній табором стає кругом тих, хто боїться його, і визволює їх.

8 O taste and see that the Lord is good! Blessed (happy, fortunate, to be envied) is the man who trusts and takes refuge in Him.

(34-9) Скуштуйте й побачте, який добрий Господь, блаженна людина, що надію на Нього кладе!

9 O fear the Lord, you His saints! For there is no want to those who truly revere and worship Him with godly fear.

(34-10) Бійтеся Господа, всі святії Його, бо ті, що бояться Його, недостатку не мають!

10 T he young lions lack food and suffer hunger, but they who seek (inquire of and require) the Lord, none of them shall lack any beneficial thing.

(34-11) Левчуки бідні й голодні, а ті, хто пошукує Господа, недостатку не чують в усьому добрі.

11 C ome, you children, listen to me; I will teach you to revere and worshipfully fear the Lord.

(34-12) Ходіть, діти, послухайте мене, страху Господнього я вас навчу!

12 W hat man is he who desires life and longs for many days, that he may see good?

(34-13) Хто та людина, що хоче життя, що любить дні довгі, щоб бачити добро?

13 K eep your tongue from evil and your lips from speaking deceit.

(34-14) Свого язика бережи від лихого, а уста свої від говорення підступу.

14 D epart from evil and do good; seek, inquire for, and crave peace and pursue (go after) it!

(34-15) Відступися від злого і добре чини, миру шукай і женися за ним!

15 T he eyes of the Lord are toward the righteous and His ears are open to their cry.

(34-16) Очі Господні на праведних, уші ж Його на їхній зойк,

16 T he face of the Lord is against those who do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth.

(34-17) Господнє лице на злочинців, щоб винищити їхню пам'ять з землі.

17 W hen the righteous cry for help, the Lord hears, and delivers them out of all their distress and troubles.

(34-18) Коли праведні кличуть, то їх чує Господь, і з усіх утисків їхніх визволює їх.

18 T he Lord is close to those who are of a broken heart and saves such as are crushed with sorrow for sin and are humbly and thoroughly penitent.

(34-19) Господь зламаносердим близький, і впокорених духом спасає.

19 M any evils confront the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.

(34-20) Багато лихого для праведного, та його визволяє Господь з них усіх:

20 H e keeps all his bones; not one of them is broken.

(34-21) Він пильнує всі кості його, із них жодна не зламається!

21 E vil shall cause the death of the wicked; and they who hate the just and righteous shall be held guilty and shall be condemned.

(34-22) Зло безбожному смерть заподіє, і винними будуть усі, хто ненавидить праведного.

22 T he Lord redeems the lives of His servants, and none of those who take refuge and trust in Him shall be condemned or held guilty.

(34-23) Господь визволить душу рабів Своїх, і винні не будуть усі, хто вдається до Нього!
