1 D o not let your hearts be troubled (distressed, agitated). You believe in and adhere to and trust in and rely on God; believe in and adhere to and trust in and rely also on Me.

“Não se perturbe o coração de vocês. Creiam em Deus; creiam também em mim.

2 I n My Father’s house there are many dwelling places (homes). If it were not so, I would have told you; for I am going away to prepare a place for you.

Na casa de meu Pai há muitos aposentos; se não fosse assim, eu lhes teria dito. Vou preparar-lhes lugar.

3 A nd when (if) I go and make ready a place for you, I will come back again and will take you to Myself, that where I am you may be also.

E se eu for e lhes preparar lugar, voltarei e os levarei para mim, para que vocês estejam onde eu estiver.

4 A nd where I am going, you know the way.

Vocês conhecem o caminho para onde vou”. Jesus, o Caminho para o Pai

5 T homas said to Him, Lord, we do not know where You are going, so how can we know the way?

Disse-lhe Tomé: “Senhor, não sabemos para onde vais; como então podemos saber o caminho?”

6 J esus said to him, I am the Way and the Truth and the Life; no one comes to the Father except by (through) Me.

Respondeu Jesus: “Eu sou o caminho, a verdade e a vida. Ninguém vem ao Pai, a não ser por mim.

7 I f you had known Me, you would also have known My Father. From now on, you know Him and have seen Him.

Se vocês realmente me conhecessem, conheceriamtambém o meu Pai. Já agora vocês o conhecem e o têm visto”.

8 P hilip said to Him, Lord, show us the Father; then we shall be satisfied.

Disse Filipe: “Senhor, mostra-nos o Pai, e isso nos basta”.

9 J esus replied, Have I been with all of you for so long a time, and do you not recognize and know Me yet, Philip? Anyone who has seen Me has seen the Father. How can you say then, Show us the Father?

Jesus respondeu: “Você não me conhece, Filipe, mesmo depois de eu ter estado com vocês durante tanto tempo? Quem me vê, vê o Pai. Como você pode dizer: ‘Mostra-nos o Pai’?

10 D o you not believe that I am in the Father, and that the Father is in Me? What I am telling you I do not say on My own authority and of My own accord; but the Father Who lives continually in Me does the ( His ) works (His own miracles, deeds of power).

Você não crê que eu estou no Pai e que o Pai está em mim? As palavras que eu lhes digo não são apenas minhas. Ao contrário, o Pai, que vive em mim, está realizando a sua obra.

11 B elieve Me that I am in the Father and the Father in Me; or else believe Me for the sake of the works themselves.

Creiam em mim quando digo que estou no Pai e que o Pai está em mim; ou pelo menos creiam por causa das mesmas obras.

12 I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, if anyone steadfastly believes in Me, he will himself be able to do the things that I do; and he will do even greater things than these, because I go to the Father.

Digo-lhes a verdade: Aquele que crê em mim fará também as obras que tenho realizado. Fará coisas ainda maiores do que estas, porque eu estou indo para o Pai.

13 A nd I will do whatever you ask in My Name '> presenting all that I Am ], so that the Father may be glorified and extolled in (through) the Son.

E eu farei o que vocês pedirem em meu nome, para que o Pai seja glorificado no Filho.

14 I will grant whatever you shall ask in My Name '> presenting all that I Am ].

O que vocês pedirem em meu nome, eu farei. Jesus Promete o Espírito Santo

15 I f you love Me, you will keep (obey) My commands.

“Se vocês me amam, obedecerão aos meus mandamentos.

16 A nd I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, and Standby), that He may remain with you forever—

E eu pedirei ao Pai, e ele lhes dará outro Conselheiro para estar com vocês para sempre,

17 T he Spirit of Truth, Whom the world cannot receive (welcome, take to its heart), because it does not see Him or know and recognize Him. But you know and recognize Him, for He lives with you and will be in you.

o Espírito da verdade. O mundo não pode recebê-lo, porque não o vê nem o conhece. Mas vocês o conhecem, pois ele vive com vocês e estaráem vocês.

18 I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.

Não os deixarei órfãos; voltarei para vocês.

19 J ust a little while now, and the world will not see Me any more, but you will see Me; because I live, you will live also.

Dentro de pouco tempo o mundo não me verá mais; vocês, porém, me verão. Porque eu vivo, vocês também viverão.

20 A t that time you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you.

Naquele dia compreenderão que estou em meu Pai, vocês em mim, e eu em vocês.

21 T he person who has My commands and keeps them is the one who loves Me; and whoever loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and will show (reveal, manifest) Myself to him.

Quem tem os meus mandamentos e lhes obedece, esse é o que me ama. Aquele que me ama será amado por meu Pai, e eu também o amarei e me revelarei a ele”.

22 J udas, not Iscariot, asked Him, Lord, how is it that You will reveal Yourself to us and not to the world?

Disse então Judas (não o Iscariotes): “Senhor, mas por que te revelarás a nós e não ao mundo?”

23 J esus answered, If a person loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home (abode, special dwelling place) with him.

Respondeu Jesus: “Se alguém me ama, obedecerá à minha palavra. Meu Pai o amará, nós viremos a ele e faremos morada nele.

24 A nyone who does not love Me does not observe and obey My teaching. And the teaching which you hear and heed is not Mine, but from the Father Who sent Me.

Aquele que não me ama não obedece às minhas palavras. Estas palavras que vocês estão ouvindo não são minhas; são de meu Pai que me enviou.

25 I have told you these things while I am still with you.

“Tudo isso lhes tenho dito enquanto ainda estou com vocês.

26 B ut the Comforter (Counselor, Helper, Intercessor, Advocate, Strengthener, Standby), the Holy Spirit, Whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things. And He will cause you to recall (will remind you of, bring to your remembrance) everything I have told you.

Mas o Conselheiro, o Espírito Santo, que o Pai enviará em meu nome, lhes ensinará todas as coisas e lhes fará lembrar tudo o que eu lhes disse.

27 P eace I leave with you; My peace I now give and bequeath to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid.

Deixo-lhes a paz; a minha paz lhes dou. Não a dou como o mundo a dá. Não se perturbe o seu coração, nem tenham medo.

28 Y ou heard Me tell you, I am going away and I am coming to you. If you loved Me, you would have been glad, because I am going to the Father; for the Father is greater and mightier than I am.

“Vocês me ouviram dizer: Vou, mas volto para vocês. Se vocês me amassem, ficariam contentes porque vou para o Pai, pois o Pai é maior do que eu.

29 A nd now I have told you before it occurs, so that when it does take place you may believe and have faith in and rely on Me.

Isso eu lhes digo agora, antes que aconteça, para que, quando acontecer, vocês creiam.

30 I will not talk with you much more, for the prince (evil genius, ruler) of the world is coming. And he has no claim on Me.

Já não lhes falarei muito, pois o príncipe deste mundo está vindo. Ele não tem nenhum direito sobre mim.

31 B ut '> Satan is coming and] I do as the Father has commanded Me, so that the world may know (be convinced) that I love the Father and that I do only what the Father has instructed Me to do. Rise, let us go away from here.

Todavia é preciso que o mundo saiba que eu amo o Pai e que faço o que meu Pai me ordenou. Levantem-se, vamo-nos daqui!
