1 ¶ Now these are the generations of the sons of Noah: Shem, Ham, and Japheth; and unto them were born sons after the flood.

3 A nd the sons of Gomer: Ashkenaz and Riphath and Togarmah.

4 A nd the sons of Javan: Elishah and Tarshish, Kittim and Dodanim.

Сыновья Иавана: Элиша, Таршиш, Киттим и Роданим.

5 B y these were the isles of the Gentiles divided in their lands, each one after his tongue, after their families, in their nations.

(От них произошли приморские народы распространились по своим землям, среди своих народов; у каждого свой язык, свое племя). Потомки Хама (1 Пар. 1: 8-16)

6 ¶ And the sons of Ham: Cush and Mizraim and Phut and Canaan.

Сыновья Хама: Куш, Мицраим, Пут и Ханаан.

7 A nd the sons of Cush: Seba and Havilah and Sabtah and Raamah and Sabtecha. And the sons of Raamah: Sheba and Dedan.

Сыновья Куша: Сева, Хавила, Савта, Раама и Савтеха. Сыновья Раамы: Шева и Дедан.

8 A nd Cush begat Nimrod. He began to be powerful in the earth.

Куш был также отцом Нимрода, который стал первым на земле могучим воином.

9 H e was a powerful hunter before the LORD; therefore it is said, Even as Nimrod, the powerful hunter before the LORD.

Он был величайшим охотником перед Господом, поэтому и говорится: «Величайший охотник перед Господом, как Нимрод».

10 A nd the beginning of his kingdom was Babel and Erech and Accad and Calneh in the land of Shinar.

Первыми городами в его царстве были Вавилон, Эрех, Аккад и Халне в Шинаре.

11 O ut of that land went forth Asshur, who built Nineveh and the city Rehoboth and Calah

Из той земли он перешел в Ассирию, где построил Ниневию, Реховот-Ир, Калах

12 a nd Resen between Nineveh and Calah; the same is a great city.

и Ресен, между Ниневией и Калахом – великий город.

13 A nd Mizraim begat Ludim and Anamim and Lehabim and Naphtuhim

Мицраим был отцом лудеев, анамеев, легавеев, нафтухеев,

14 a nd Pathrusim and Casluhim (out of whom came the Philistines) and Caphtorim.

патрусеев, каслухеев (от которых произошли филистимляне), и кафтореев.

15 ¶ And Canaan begat Sidon, his firstborn, and Heth

Ханаан был отцом Сидона, первенца его, и хеттов,

16 a nd Jebusite and Amorite and Girgasite

иевусеев, аморреев, гергесеев,

17 a nd Hivite and Arkite and Sinite

хивеев, аркеев, синеев,

18 a nd Arvadite and Zemarite and Hamathite; and afterward were the families of the Canaanites spread abroad.

арвадеев, цемареев и хамафеев. Позже ханаанские племена рассеялись,

19 A nd the border of the Canaanites was from Sidon, as thou comest to Gerar unto Gaza, as thou goest, unto Sodom and Gomorrah and Admah and Zeboim, even unto Lasha.

и границы Ханаана простирались от Сидона к Герару до Газы, а оттуда к Содому, Гоморре, Адме и Цевоиму до Лаши.

20 T hese are the sons of Ham, after their families, after their tongues, in their countries, and in their nations.

Таковы произошедшие от Хама народы по своим родам, со своим языком, в своих землях. Потомки Сима (1 Пар. 1: 17-23)

21 ¶ Unto Shem also, the father of all the sons of Eber, the elder brother of Japheth, even to him were sons born.

Родились сыновья и у Сима, старшего брата Иафета. Сим был предком всех сыновей Евера.

22 T he sons of Shem: Elam, Asshur, Arphaxad, Lud, and Aram.

Сыновья Сима: Елам, Ашшур, Арпахшад, Луд и Арам.

23 A nd the sons of Aram: Uz, Hul, Gether, and Mash.

Сыновья Арама: Уц, Хул, Гетер и Мешех.

24 A nd Arphaxad begat Salah, and Salah begat Eber.

У Арпахшада родился Шелах, а у Шелаха родился Евер.

25 A nd unto Eber were born two sons; the name of one was Peleg, for in his days the earth was divided; and his brother’s name was Joktan.

У Евера родилось двое сыновей: одного звали Пелег, потому что в его дни земля была разделена, а его брата Иоктан.

26 A nd Joktan begat Almodad, Sheleph, Hazarmaveth, Jerah,

27 H adoram, Uzal, Diklah,

28 O bal, Abimael, Sheba,

Овала, Авимаила, Шевы,

29 O phir, Havilah, and Jobab; all these were the sons of Joktan.

30 A nd their dwelling was from Mesha as thou goest unto Sephar, mount of the east.

31 T hese are the sons of Shem, after their families, after their tongues, in their lands, after their nations.

Таковы произошедшие от Сима народы по своим родам, со своим языком, в своих землях.

32 T hese are the families of the sons of Noah, after their descendants, in their nations; and by these were the Gentiles divided in the earth after the flood.

Таковы племена сыновей Ноя, по их родословиям в их народах; от них после потопа произошли все народы на земле.
