1 ¶ Halelu-JAH. Praise the LORD, O my soul.

Аллилуйя! Восхваляй, душа моя, Господа!

2 I n my life I will praise the LORD; I will sing praises unto my God while I live.

Всю свою жизнь буду восхвалять Господа; буду петь хвалу моему Богу, пока я жив.

3 P ut not your trust in princes, nor in the son of man in whom there is no salvation.

Не надейтесь на правителей, на человека, в котором нет спасения.

4 H is spirit shall go forth, he shall return to his earth; in that very day all his thoughts shall perish.

Когда дух покидает его, и он возвращается в землю, в тот самый день исчезают и все его помышления.

5 ¶ Happy is he who has the God of Jacob for his help, whose hope is in the LORD his God;

Блажен тот, кому помощник Бог Иакова, кто надеется на Господа, своего Бога,

6 w ho made the heavens and the earth, the sea and all that is therein; who keeps truth for ever:

сотворившего небо и землю, море и все, что его наполняет, – Он вечно хранит Свою верность.

7 H e who does justice unto the oppressed; who gives bread to the hungry. The LORD looses the prisoners:

Он защищает дело угнетенных, дает пищу голодным. Господь освобождает заключенных.

8 T he LORD opens the eyes of the blind; the LORD raises those that are bowed down; the LORD loves the righteous:

Господь открывает глаза слепым, Господь поднимает всех низверженных, Господь любит праведных.

9 T he LORD preserves the strangers; he raises up the fatherless and widow; but the way of the wicked he turns upside down.

Господь хранит чужеземцев, поддерживает сирот и вдов, а путь нечестивых искривляет.

10 T he LORD shall reign for ever, even thy God, O Zion, from generation to generation. Halelu-JAH.

Господь царствует вовек, Твой Бог, Сион, – во все поколения. Аллилуйя!
