1 ¶ In Judah is God known; his name is great in Israel.

2 I n Salem also is his tabernacle and his dwelling place in Zion.

3 T here he broke the arrows of the bow, the shield, and the sword, and the war. Selah.

Там Он сокрушил сверкающие стрелы, щит и меч, орудия войны. Пауза

4 T hou art more glorious and excellent than the mountains of prey.

Ты сияешь во свете; Ты величественнее, чем горы с добычей.

5 T he stouthearted are spoiled; they have slept their sleep; and nothing was found in the hands of the men of might.

Крепкие сердцем стали добычею, уснули последним сном; ни один из них не смог даже руку поднять.

6 A t thy rebuke, O God of Jacob, both the chariot and horse are cast into a dead sleep.

Бог Иакова, от грозного крика Твоего и колесница, и конь упали замертво.

7 ¶ Thou, even thou, art to be feared, and who may stand in thy sight when once thou art angry?

Лишь Тебя надо бояться, и кто устоит пред Твоим лицом, когда Ты в гневе?

8 F rom the heavens thou didst cause judgment to be heard; the earth feared and was still,

Ты произнес суд с небес; вся земля испугалась и притихла,

9 w hen thou didst arise unto judgment, O God, to save all the meek of the earth. Selah.

когда Бог восстал на суд, чтобы спасти всех угнетенных на земле. Пауза

10 S urely the wrath of man shall cause praise to come unto thee; the remainder of wrath shalt thou restrain.

Истинно, Твой гнев на людей принесет Тебе хвалу, и выживших после Твоего гнева Ты смиришь.

11 V ow and pay unto the LORD your God; let all that be round about him bring presents unto him that ought to be feared.

Давайте обеты Господу, вашему Богу, и исполняйте их; все, кто вокруг Него, приносите дары Грозному.

12 H e shall cut off the spirit of princes; he is terrible to the kings of the earth.

Он сокрушает дух вождей; Он страшен для земных царей.
