1 ¶ The wilderness and the solitary place shall be glad; the desert shall rejoice and blossom as the lily.

Возрадуется пустыня и сухая земля; дикая местность возликует и расцветет. Словно нарцисс,

2 I t shall blossom abundantly and shall also praise and sing for joy; the honour of Lebanon shall be given unto it, the beauty of Carmel and Sharon. They shall see the glory of the LORD and the beauty of our God.

расцветет богато; будет бурно ликовать и кричать от радости. Ей будет дана слава Ливана, великолепие Кармила и Шарона; они увидят Господню славу, величие нашего Бога.

3 C omfort ye the tired hands and strengthen the knees that tremble.

Укрепите опустившиеся руки, утвердите дрожащие колени.

4 S ay to those that are of a fearful heart, Be comforted, fear not; behold, your God comes with vengeance, with recompense; God himself will come and save you.

Скажите тем, кто робок сердцем: – Будьте тверды, не бойтесь! Ваш Бог придет, придет с отмщением, с воздаянием Божьим Он придет спасти вас.

5 ¶ Then the eyes of the blind shall be opened, and the ears of the deaf shall be unstopped.

Тогда откроются глаза слепых и уши глухих отворятся.

6 T hen the lame one shall leap as a hart, and the tongue of the dumb shall praise; for waters shall be dug in the wilderness, and streams in the desert.

Тогда хромой будет прыгать, словно олень, и язык немого кричать от радости. Пробьются в пустыне воды и потоки в местности дикой.

7 T he parched ground shall become a pool and the thirsty land springs of water; in the habitation of dragons, where each lay, shall be grass with reeds and rushes.

Горячий песок превратится в заводь, жаждущая земля – в источники вод. Там, где были каменистые шакальи логовища, будут расти трава, камыш и тростник.

8 A nd a highway shall be there and a way, and it shall be called The Way of Holiness; the unclean shall not pass over it; and for those in it there shall be someone to go with them, in such a manner that the foolish shall not err therein.

Там будет большая дорога; она будет названа Святым Путем. Нечистые по нему не пройдут; он будет для Божьего народа. Никакой самонадеянный глупец не забредет на него.

9 N o lion shall be there, nor any ravenous beast shall go up thereon, nor shall any be found there so that the redeemed can walk there:

Не будет там льва, на него не ступит никакой хищный зверь – не будет их там. Там будут ходить искупленные.

10 A nd the ransomed of the LORD shall return and come to Zion with songs; and everlasting joy shall be upon their heads: they shall retain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.

Избавленные Господни вернутся и с пением придут на Сион; их головы увенчает вечная радость. Они обретут веселье и радость, а скорбь и вздохи исчезнут.
