1 ¶ Not unto us, O LORD, not unto us, but unto thy name give glory, for thy mercy and for thy truth.

Не нам, не нам, Господи, а Имени Твоему да будет слава ради милости и верности Твоей.

2 W hy should the Gentiles say, Where is now their God?

Зачем чужеземцам говорить: «Где же их Бог?»

3 B ut our God is in the heavens; he has made whatever he has desired.

Наш Бог на небесах и делает все, что Ему угодно.

4 T heir idols are silver and gold, the work of men’s hands.

А их идолы – серебро и золото, дело рук человеческих.

5 T hey have mouths, but they shall never speak; they have eyes, but they shall never see:

У них есть уста, но не говорят они, у них есть глаза, но не видят они,

6 T hey have ears, but they shall never hear; they have noses, but they shall never smell;

у них есть уши, но не слышат они, есть ноздри, но не чувствуют запаха;

7 t hey have hands, but they shall never touch; they have feet, but they shall never walk; they shall never speak through their throat.

у них есть руки, но они не осязают, есть ноги, но они не ходят, и гортанью своей не издают голоса.

8 L et those that make them become like unto them, and every one that trusts in them.

Делающие их и надеющиеся на них, да будут подобны им.

9 ¶ O Israel, trust thou in the LORD; he is your help and your shield.

Израиль, уповай на Господа! Он – их помощь и щит.

10 O house of Aaron, trust in the LORD; he is your help and your shield.

Дом Ааронов, уповай на Господа! Он – их помощь и щит.

11 Y e that fear the LORD, trust in the LORD; he is your help and your shield.

Боящиеся Господа, уповайте на Господа! Он – их помощь и щит.

12 T he LORD has been mindful of us: he will bless us; he will greatly bless the house of Israel; he will bless the house of Aaron.

Господь нас помнит, и благословит: благословит дом Израилев благословит дом Ааронов,

13 H e will bless those that fear the LORD, both small and great.

благословит всех боящихся Господа, малых и великих.

14 T he LORD shall increase his blessing upon you more and more, upon you and your sons.

Господь умножит вас более и более, вас и ваших детей.

15 Y e are blessed of the LORD who made the heavens and earth.

Благословенны вы Господом, сотворившим небо и землю.

16 T he heavens are the heavens of the LORD, but the earth he has given to the sons of Adam.

Небеса принадлежат Господу, а землю Он отдал сынам человеческим.

17 T he dead shall not praise JAH, neither any that go down into silence.

Не мертвые восхваляют Господа и не нисходящие в тишину,

18 B ut we will bless JAH from this time forth and for evermore. Halelu-JAH.

а мы прославим Господа отныне и вовеки. Аллилуйя!
