1 ¶ And it came to pass, when the king sat in his house and the LORD had given him rest from all his enemies around him,

После того как царь поселился в своем дворце и Господь дал ему покой от всех окружающих его врагов,

2 t hat the king said unto Nathan, the prophet, See now, I dwell in a house of cedar, but the ark of God dwells within curtains.

он сказал пророку Нафану: – Вот, я живу во дворце из кедра, а Божий ковчег остается в шатре.

3 A nd Nathan said to the king, Go, do all that is in thy heart, for the LORD is with thee.

Нафан ответил царю: – Иди и делай все, что у тебя на сердце, потому что Господь с тобой.

4 ¶ And it came to pass that night that the word of the LORD came unto Nathan, saying,

В ту ночь к Нафану было слово Господа:

5 G o and tell my slave David, Thus hath the LORD said, Shalt thou build me a house for me to dwell in?

– Пойди и скажи Моему слуге Давиду: «Так говорит Господь: Разве ты – тот, кто построит Мне дом для Моего обитания?

6 F or I have not dwelt in any house since the time that I brought up the sons of Israel out of Egypt, even to this day, but have walked in a tent and in a tabernacle.

Я не жил в доме с того дня, как вывел израильтян из Египта, и до сегодняшнего дня, но переходил с места на место, обитая в шатре.

7 I n all the places in which I have walked with all the sons of Israel did I speak a word in any of the tribes of Israel, unto whom I commanded to feed my people Israel, saying, Why did ye not build me a house of cedar?

Где бы Я ни ходил со всеми израильтянами, разве Я говорил с каким-либо из их родов, которым Я повелел пасти Мой народ Израиля: “Почему вы не построили Мне дом из кедра?”»

8 N ow, therefore, so shalt thou say unto my slave David, Thus hath the LORD of the hosts said, I took thee from the sheepcote, from following the sheep, to be prince over my people, over Israel;

Итак, скажи Моему слуге Давиду: «Так говорит Господь Сил: Я взял тебя, когда ты смотрел и ухаживал на пастбище за овцами, чтобы ты стал правителем Моего народа, Израиля.

9 a nd I have been with thee wherever thou didst walk and have cut off all thine enemies out of thy sight and have made thee a great name, like unto the name of the great men that are in the earth.

Я был с тобой, куда бы ты ни ходил, и сокрушил перед тобой всех твоих врагов. Я уподоблю твое имя именам великих людей земли.

10 M oreover I will appoint a place for my people Israel and will plant them, that they may dwell in their place and never again be removed; neither shall the sons of iniquity afflict them any more as before,

Я устрою место для Своего народа, Израиля, и укореню его, чтобы ему иметь свой дом, и никто его больше не тревожил. Нечестивые больше не будут притеснять его, как они делали это в начале,

11 s ince the time that I commanded judges to be over my people Israel. And I will cause thee to rest from all thy enemies. Likewise, the LORD makes thee to know that he will make thee a house.

с того времени, как Я поставил судей над Своим народом, Израилем. Я также дам тебе покой от всех твоих врагов. Господь объявляет тебе, что Сам утвердит твой дом.

12 A nd when thy days are fulfilled and thou shalt sleep with thy fathers, I will set up thy seed after thee, which shall proceed out of thy bowels, and I will establish his kingdom.

Когда твои дни завершатся и ты упокоишься со своими предками, Я возведу на престол твоего потомка, того, кто произойдет от тебя и упрочу его царство.

13 H e shall build a house for my name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom for ever.

Он построит Мне дом для Моего Имени, и Я упрочу престол его царства навеки.

14 I will be his father, and he shall be my son. If he commits iniquity, I will chasten him with the rod of men and with the stripes of the sons of men;

Я буду ему Отцом, и он будет Мне сыном. Когда он согрешит, Я накажу его розгой людей, ударами, наносимыми людьми.

15 b ut my mercy shall not depart away from him, as I took it from Saul, whom I took away from before thee.

Но Я не отниму от него Своей милости, как отнял ее от Саула, которого Я отверг ради тебя.

16 A nd thy house and thy kingdom shall be established for ever before thee; thy throne shall be established for ever.

Твой дом и твое царство будут непоколебимы предо Мной вовеки; твой престол будет упрочен навеки».

17 A ccording to all these words and according to all this vision, so did Nathan speak unto David.

Нафан пересказал Давиду все слова этого откровения. Молитва Давида (1 Пар. 17: 16-27)

18 ¶ Then King David went in and sat before the LORD, and he said, O Lord GOD, Who am I and what is my house that thou hast brought me thus far?

Тогда царь Давид вошел, сел перед Господом и сказал: – Кто я, о Владыка Господь, и что такое моя семья, что Ты так возвеличил меня?

19 A nd this was yet a small thing in thy sight, O Lord GOD; but thou hast spoken also of thy slave’s house for a great while to come and that this shall be the condition of a man, O Lord GOD.

И, словно этого не было достаточно в Твоих глазах, о Владыка Господь, Ты еще говорил о будущем дома Твоего слуги. И это будет Закон для людей, о Владыка Господь!

20 A nd what more can David say unto thee? For thou, Lord GOD, knowest thy slave.

Что еще может сказать Тебе Давид? Ведь Ты знаешь Твоего слугу, Владыка, Господи!

21 F or thou hast done all these great things by thy word and according to thine own heart to make thy slave know them.

Ради Твоего слова и по воле Своей Ты совершил это великое дело и открыл его Своему слуге.

22 T herefore, thou art great, O LORD God, for there is none like thee, neither is there any God beside thee, according to all that we have heard with our ears.

Как Ты велик, Владыка Господи! Нет подобного Тебе, и нет Бога, кроме Тебя, как слышали мы своими ушами.

23 A nd who in the earth is like thy people, like Israel? A Gentile for the love of whom God went to ransom as a people to himself and to give him a name and to do with you great and terrible things in thy land because of thy people whom thou didst redeem unto thee from Egypt, from the Gentiles and their gods?

И кто подобен Израилю, единственному народу на земле, который Бог выкупил Себе, чтобы сделать Своим народом? Чтобы все узнали Его Имя, Он совершил великие и ужасные дела, изгнав перед ним другие народы и их богов?

24 F or thou hast confirmed to thyself thy people Israel to be thy people for ever, and thou, LORD, have become their God.

Ты сделал Израиль Своим собственным народом навеки, и Ты, Господи, стал его Богом.

25 A nd now, O LORD God, the word that thou hast spoken concerning thy slave and concerning his house, raise it up for ever and do as thou hast said.

И теперь, Господи Боже, сохрани навеки обещание, которое Ты дал о Своем слуге и его доме,. и сделай, как Ты обещал.

26 F or thus shall thy name be magnified for ever that it may be said, The LORD of the hosts is God over Israel and that the house of thy slave David be established before thee.

Пусть возвеличится Твое Имя вовеки, чтобы люди говорили: «Господь Сил – Бог Израиля!» И дом Твоего слуги Давида утвердится перед Тобой.

27 F or thou, O LORD of the hosts, God of Israel, hast revealed to thy slave, saying, I will build thee a house. Therefore, thy slave has found it in his heart to pray this prayer in thy presence.

О Господь Сил, Бог Израиля, Ты открыл это Твоему слуге, говоря: «Я устрою тебе дом». Поэтому Твой слуга набрался смелости принести Тебе эту молитву.

28 A nd now, O Lord GOD, thou art God, and thy words shall be firm, and thou hast spoken this goodness unto thy slave.

О Владыка Господь, Ты – Бог! Твои слова истинны, и Ты обещал Своему слуге это благо.

29 T herefore, now let it please thee to bless the house of thy slave that it may continue for ever before thee, for thou, O Lord GOD, hast spoken it, and with thy blessing the house of thy slave shall be blessed for ever.

Пусть же станет Тебе угодно благословлять дом Твоего слуги, чтобы он был перед Тобой вечно. Ведь Ты, Владыка Господи, сказал это, и дом Твоего слуги будет благословен навеки от Твоего благословения!
