1 ¶ In the eighth month, in the second year of Darius, the word of the LORD came unto the prophet Zechariah, the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo, saying,

В восьмом месяце второго года правления Дария было слово Господне к пророку Захарии, сыну Берехии, внуку Иддо:

2 T he LORD has been sore displeased with your fathers.

– Господь сильно прогневался на ваших предков.

3 T herefore thou shalt say unto them, Thus hath the LORD of the hosts said; Turn unto me, said the LORD of the hosts, and I will turn unto you, said the LORD of the hosts.

Скажи же народу: «Так говорит Господь Cил: Вернитесь ко Мне, – возвещает Господь Cил, – и Я вернусь к вам, – говорит Господь Cил. –

4 D o not be as your fathers, unto whom the former prophets have cried, saying, Thus hath the LORD of the hosts said; Turn now from your evil ways and from your evil doings: but they did not hear, nor hearken unto me, said the LORD.

Не будьте как ваши предки, к которым взывали прежние пророки: “Так говорит Господь Cил: Отвернитесь от своих злых путей и скверных обычаев”, а они не слушали и не внимали Мне, – возвещает Господь. –

5 Y our fathers, where are they? and the prophets, do they live for ever?

Где теперь ваши предки? И разве вечно живут пророки?

6 B ut my words and my statutes, which I commanded my slaves the prophets, did they not take hold of your fathers? Therefore they returned from captivity and said, Like as the LORD of the hosts thought to do unto us, according to our ways and according to our doings, so has he dealt with us.

Но Мои слова и установления, которые Я вручил Моим слугам, пророкам, разве не исполнились над вашими предками? Они тогда покаялись и сказали: “Господь Cил поступил с нами так, как мы заслужили своими путями и делами – как Он определил, так и поступил”». Первое видение: всадник среди миртовых деревьев

7 ¶ Upon the twenty-fourth day of the eleventh month, which is the month Sebat, in the second year of Darius, the word of the LORD came unto the prophet Zechariah, the son of Berechiah, the son of Iddo, saying,

В двадцать четвертый день одиннадцатого месяца, месяца шевата, на втором году правления Дария, было слово Господне к пророку Захарии, сыну Берехии, внуку Иддо.

8 I saw by night, and behold a man riding upon a red horse, and he stood among the myrtle trees that were in the bottom; and behind him there were red horses, speckled, and white.

Ночью мне было видение: смотрю, предо мной Некто на рыжем коне. Он стоял среди миртов, что в горной долине; позади Него – рыжие, гнедые и белые кони.

9 T hen said I, O my lord, what are these? And the angel that talked with me said unto me, I will show thee who these are.

Я спросил: – Что это значит, мой Господин? И Ангел, Который говорил со мной, сказал: – Я покажу тебе, что это значит.

10 A nd the man that stood among the myrtle trees answered and said, These are those whom the LORD has sent to walk to and fro through the earth.

Тот, Кто стоял среди миртов, ответил: – Это те, кого Господь послал пройти по земле дозором.

11 A nd they answered the angel of the LORD that stood among the myrtle trees and said, We have walked to and fro through the land, and, behold, all the earth sits still and is at rest.

И они сказали Ангелу Господа, Который стоял среди миртов: – Мы прошли по земле дозором – на всей земле покой и мир.

12 T hen the angel of the LORD answered and said, O LORD of the hosts, when wilt thou have mercy on Jerusalem and on the cities of Judah, against which thou hast had indignation these seventy years?

Тогда Ангел Господень сказал: – Господь Сил, до каких пор Ты будешь отказывать в милости Иерусалиму и городам Иуды, на которые Ты гневаешься вот уже семьдесят лет?

13 A nd the LORD answered good words unto the angel that talked with me, words of consolation.

И Господь отвечал добрыми и утешительными словами Ангелу, говорившему со мной.

14 S o the angel that communed with me said unto me, Cry thou, saying, Thus saith the LORD of the hosts; I am jealous for Jerusalem and for Zion with a great jealousy.

Тогда Ангел, Который говорил со мной, сказал мне: – Вот что ты должен возвестить: «Так говорит Господь Cил: Крепко возревновал Я об Иерусалиме и Сионе,

15 A nd I am very sore displeased with the Gentiles that are at ease; for I was but a little displeased, and they helped forward the affliction.

а на народы, живущие в покое, Я страшно разгневан. Тогда как Я лишь немного гневался на Мой народ, они без меры обрушили на него бедствие.

16 T herefore thus hath the LORD said, I am returned to Jerusalem with mercies; my house shall be built in her, saith the LORD of the hosts, and a line shall be stretched forth upon Jerusalem.

Поэтому так говорит Господь: Я вернусь в Иерусалим с состраданием, и Мой дом там будет отстроен, – возвещает Господь Cил, – и протянется над Иерусалимом землемерная нить ».

17 C ry yet, saying, Thus saith the LORD of the hosts, My cities through abundance of good shall yet be widened; and the LORD shall yet comfort Zion and shall yet choose Jerusalem.

Еще провозгласи: «Так говорит Господь Cил: Снова переполнятся изобилием Мои города, и вновь Господь утешит Сион и изберет Иерусалим». Второе видение: четыре рога и четверо ремесленников

18 ¶ Then I lifted up my eyes and saw and behold four horns.

Я поднял глаза и вижу: предо мной четыре рога.

19 A nd I said unto the angel that talked with me, What are these? And he answered me, These are the horns which have scattered Judah, Israel, and Jerusalem.

Я спросил Ангела, Который говорил со мной: – Что это? Он ответил: – Это рога, которые разметали Иудею, Израиль и Иерусалим.

20 A nd the LORD showed me four carpenters.

Затем Господь показал мне четверых кузнецов.

21 T hen I said, What do these come to do? And he spoke, saying, These are the horns which have scattered Judah, so that no one lifted up his head, but these are come to cause them to tremble, to cut down the horns of the Gentiles, which lifted up their horn over the land of Judah to scatter it.

Я спросил: – Что они собираются делать? Он ответил: – Этими рогами народы разметали Иудею так, что никто не мог поднять своей головы, а кузнецы пришли нагнать на них страх и сбить им рога, которые они подняли против земли Иудеи, чтобы разметать ее народ.
