1 ¶ For the LORD will have mercy on Jacob and will yet choose Israel and cause them to rest in their own land; and the strangers shall be joined with them, and they shall cleave to the house of Jacob.

Время его близко, и дни его не продлятся. Господь пожалеет Иакова; Он вновь изберет Израиль и поселит их на их земле. Чужеземцы присоединятся к ним и пристанут к дому Иакова.

2 A nd the peoples shall take them and bring them to their place; and the house of Israel shall possess them in the land of the LORD for slaves and hand maids; and they shall take them captives, whose captives they were; and they shall rule over their oppressors.

Народы возьмут Израиля и приведут на их место. А дом Израиля завладеет народами как слугами и служанками в Господней земле. Они возьмут в плен тех, кто пленил их, и будут править своими притеснителями.

3 A nd it shall come to pass in the day that the LORD shall give thee rest from thy sorrow and from thy fear and from the hard bondage in which thou wast made to serve,

В тот день, когда Господь даст тебе облегчение от боли, смуты и жестокого рабства,

4 ¶ that thou shalt take up this proverb against the king of Babylon and say, How has the oppressor ceased! The city that covets gold has ceased!

ты запоешь о царе Вавилона эту язвительную песню: Не стало гонителя! Кончилась его ярость!

5 T he LORD has broken the staff of the wicked and the sceptre of the rulers

Сломал Господь жезл нечестивых, скипетр повелителей,

6 w ho smote the peoples in wrath with a continual stroke, he that ruled the Gentiles in anger and who did not defend the persecuted.

который в гневе разил народы нескончаемыми ударами и в ярости народами правил с безжалостным притеснением.

7 T he whole earth is at rest and is quiet; they sing praises.

Все страны в покое и в мире, запевают песни.

8 E ven the fir trees rejoice at thee, and the cedars of Lebanon, saying, Since thou art laid down, no feller is come up against us.

Даже кипарисы и кедры Ливана торжествуют над тобой, говоря: «С тех пор, как ты уснул, не приходит никто нас рубить».

9 S heol from beneath is aghast at thee; it stirs up the dead to meet thee at thy coming; it has raised up from their thrones all the princes of the earth, all the kings of the Gentiles.

Пришел в движение мир мертвых, чтобы встретить тебя на входе. Он будит духов умерших, чтобы тебя встречать – всех, кто был вождем на земле; поднимает с престолов всех, кто был у народов царем.

10 T hey all shall shout and say unto thee, Art thou also become sick as we? Art thou become like unto us?

Все они ответят, скажут тебе: «Ты стал слаб, как мы; ты нам уподобился».

11 T hy pride is brought down to Sheol, and the noise of thy viols: the worm is spread under thee, and the worms cover thee.

Слава твоя сошла в мир мертвых, вместе с пением твоих арф. Личинки мух стелются под тобой, черви – твой покров.

12 H ow art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How art thou cut down to the ground, who didst claim the Gentiles as an inheritance!

Как пал ты с небес, утренняя звезда, сын зари! Низвергли на землю тебя, того, кто попирал народы!

13 T hou who said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven; upon high next to the stars of God I will exalt my throne: and I will sit upon the mount of the testimony and in the sides of the north;

А ты говорил в своем сердце: «На небеса поднимусь, вознесу свой престол выше Божьих звезд, и воссяду на горе собрания, на краю севера.

14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.

Поднимусь на облачные высоты; уподоблюсь Всевышнему».

15 Y et thou shalt be cast down to Sheol, to the sides of the pit.

Но ты низведен в мир мертвых, в глубины бездны.

16 T hose that see thee shall narrowly look upon thee, and consider thee, saying, Is this the man that made the earth to tremble; that shook the kingdoms;

Видящие тебя всматриваются и дивятся твоей судьбе: «Тот ли это, кто колебал землю и сотрясал царства,

17 t hat made the world as a wilderness and destroyed the cities thereof; that did not open the prison to his prisoners?

кто сделал мир пустыней, разрушал его города и не отпускал пленников домой?»

18 A ll the kings of the Gentiles, even all of them, lie in glory, each one in his own house.

Все цари народов почили во славе, каждый лежит в своей гробнице.

19 B ut thou art cast out of thy grave like an abominable branch, and as the raiment of those that are slain, thrust through with a sword, that went down to the bottom of the pit, as a carcase trodden under feet.

А ты – вне своей могилы, выброшен, словно ненужная ветка; ты облачен убитыми, пронзенными мечом, нисходящими в каменистую пропасть. Словно труп, попираемый ногами,

20 T hou shalt not be numbered with them in burial, because thou hast destroyed thy land and slain thy people; the seed of evildoers shall not be forever.

ты не будешь погребен, как другие цари, потому что ты разорил свою страну, погубил свой народ. Да не будут вовеки упоминаемы потомки нечестивых!

21 P repare slaughter for his sons for the iniquity of their fathers that they do not rise, nor possess the land, nor fill the face of the world with cities.

Готовьте бойню его сыновьям из-за вины их отцов. Да не поднимутся они, чтобы завладеть землей, и не покроют мир своими городами.

22 F or I will rise up upon them, saith the LORD of the hosts, and cut off from Babylon the name and remnant and son and nephew, saith the LORD.

– Я поднимусь против них, – возвещает Господь Сил, – и отниму у Вавилона его имя и уцелевших, его потомство и грядущие поколения, – возвещает Господь. –

23 I will also make it a possession for the bittern and pools of water, and I will sweep it with brooms of destruction, saith the LORD of the hosts.

Я превращу его во владения ежей и в заболоченные пруды; вымету его метлой уничтожения, – возвещает Господь Сил. Пророчество об Ассирии

24 ¶ The LORD of the hosts has sworn, saying, Surely as I have thought, so shall it come to pass; and as I have purposed, so shall it stand:

Господь Сил поклялся: – Как Я задумал, так и будет; как Я решил, так и случится:

25 T hat I will break the Assyrian in my land and upon my mountains tread him under foot; then shall his yoke depart from off them, and his burden depart from off their shoulders.

сокрушу ассирийцев в Моей земле; на горах Моих растопчу их. Будет снято их ярмо с Моего народа, и их бремя с его плеч.

26 T his is the counsel that is purposed upon the whole earth; and this is the hand that is stretched out upon all the Gentiles.

Вот решение о всей земле; вот рука, занесенная на все народы.

27 F or the LORD of the hosts has purposed, and who shall disannul it? His hand is stretched out, and who shall turn it back?

Ведь Господь Сил решил, и кто властен это отменить? Рука Его занесена, и кто властен ее удержать? Пророчество о филистимлянах

28 I n the year that King Ahaz died was this burden.

Следующее пророчество было в год смерти царя Ахаза.

29 R ejoice not thou, whole Philistia, because thou didst break the rod of him that smote thee: for out of the serpent’s root shall come forth a cockatrice, and his fruit shall be a fiery flying serpent.

Не радуйтесь, филистимляне, что сломан поражавший вас жезл, потому что от змеиного корня родится гадюка, а плодом ее будет змея-стрелка.

30 A nd the firstborn of the poor shall be fed, and the needy shall lie down in safety; and I will cause thy root to die of famine, and he shall slay thy remnant.

Тогда беднейшие найдут пастбище, и нищие будут покоиться в безопасности. Но твой корень Я погублю голодом, и уцелевших твоих Я убью.

31 H owl, O gate; cry, O city; thou, whole Philistia, art dissolved; for there shall come from the north a smoke, and not one shall be left in thy assemblies.

Плачьте, ворота! Вой, город! Замирайте от страха все вы, филистимляне! Потому что облако пыли движется с севера – это приближается войско, и нет в его рядах отстающего.

32 W hat shall one then answer the messengers of the Gentiles? That the LORD has founded Zion, and in her the afflicted of his people shall have confidence.

Что же ответить вестникам этого народа? Что Господь утвердил Сион, и в нем найдут убежище бедные из Его народа.
